Color Pride

AS I SAID THEY DID NO WORK FOR ME, BUT HE SEEMS A VERY NICE GUY

I have a 2 story house of approximately 2700 sf. They repaired cracks in the stucco, repaired sheet rock on the patio ceiling, pressure washed the exterior and painted the house exterior. The price included two coats of Sherwin-Williams paint, and using 3 different colors. The results were excellent. They also gave me a 5% discount for being a military veteran.

Prompt and professional with very competitive bid. While in AZ fixing up my rental home, I was involved in a car accident and sustained injuries and pain. After accident, Color Pride rearranged their schedule and painted my home right away. I believe this took quite a bit of effort on their part. With the house painting completed ahead of schedule, I was able to fly home sooner than expected. And, able to see med providers and recover that much sooner. I was very appreciative of Barry Hawker's (owner) understanding my situation and taking quick action. Color Pride painters were professional,courteous, and worked hard. The completed paint job was high quality. They did not cut corners. Minor drywall repairs prior to painting were done well so not noticeable after being painted. Good job with securing protective covers. There were no paint drips, spills, sprays, etc., that ended up on surfaces where they didn't belong. Following my review, there were only minor "touch-ups" required. I felt lucky to have contracted with this firm. They did a very professional job and kept me informed along the way. I will use them again and recommend this company to others.

We had the entire outside of our house painted, as well as several retaining walls and some of our block wall fence - the part you can see from the street. After I called to get a quote, Barry, the owner, came out to get measurements and quote me a price. He was on time, and very professional and friendly. I got several quotes from different companies, and while Color Pride didn't offer the best price that I received, they were in the ballpark, and I really liked his professionalism and attention to detail. He stated they could start in one month, which they did; and that it would take 2 1/2 to 3 days to complete, and it did - he walked me through the whole process, and was very detailed. He answered all of my questions, and he offered helpful suggestions when I asked for them. I asked for addresses to some houses that he'd already painted to see examples of their work, and specifically for houses that were painted 8-10 years ago to see how they held up. He had no problem doing this - one week later, his secretary emailed me a list of ten houses in my area that they had painted 6-10 years ago. Exceptional customer service for someone who wasn't even a customer yet. Barry said they used Dunn Edwards paint, but they would purchase whatever brand of paint we wanted. We had been looking at Sherwin Williams paint, but we heard good things about both brands, so we took our S.W. swatches to D.E. and they matched it (and it matched perfectly). Color Pride picked up the paint. The first day of the job, the crew arrived on time, and Chris, the supervisor, came 10 minutes later and walked the perimeter of my house to go over the job again in detail. I had called one week prior to change the job slightly, we added part of our block wall fence to the job; Barry didn't even charge me for this addition. The crew was very professional, taped up our patio and moved furniture to avoid overspraying onto anything. They arrived on time each day, and were done after 2 1/2 days. On that 3rd day, Chris came to look at the finished product with me. I didn't like the way the front door looked - their were a few paint drops dried onto the door - he stated that they had probably been there prior to painting, but that they should have used a razor to remove them. So they fixed it, but then used a roller on the door to touch up instead of the sprayer they used the first time, so it wasn't as smooth of a finish, but I honestly haven't even thought about it again until now. Later that day, I noticed several areas (small areas) that they missed, and I hadn't caught while walking the house with Chris that morning. I called him, and he had one of the painters come to walk the house with me the next day to touch up all of these areas. I was very satisfied when they were done. One of the reasons I gave Color Pride a 'B' for Quality was because I think they should have caught these small things themselves - should have paid attention more during final inspection. But they fixed everything I asked them to, and I would use them again. The house looked phenomenal when it was all finished. This job was completed 1 1/2 years ago. At this time, there are several little chips from door frame where I notice paint has come off. Also several areas, mostly where boards are pulling away from wood siding and where siding meets eachother, where I notice naked wood - I don't think this is due to the paint itself, I think these areas should have been caulked more prior to painting, and some of this is surely due to the condition of the wood itself - it's old and pulling away from siding. The cracks in the retaining walls we had prior to painting are showing again now as well; these cracks were there prior to painting, but it seems that the elastomeric stucco patching that Color Pride applied to these cracks did not last. When I stand back and look at our house from the sidewalk, it looks wonderful still. These things that I point out are only noticed upon close inspection, and because I live here I notice these things, and I am picky. Again, I would hire Color Pride again. I just think to be the best, they could be more thorough with their prep work, and inspection and touch-up afterwords.

The painters worked very hard and did an excellent work. They made an easy-make mistake, but they corrected very soon after I contacted them for the mistake. I really appreciate their service.

I am very pleased with the work performed. They were on time and clearly explained what they would do. The doors and frames look great. I was impressed that the service manager took the time to come and check the work, especially on a relatively minor job. I have no qualms about recommending Color Pride.

They were excellent. Everything they did was excellent. Overall, they have an A grading. I am also going to use them in the future.

Barry first came out to give us an estimate; we were impressed w/ his attention to detail. We had the estimate later that day. We recently had re-stuccoed 2 surfaces of our home, and Barry was very diligent in making sure they were "cool" enough to paint. Chris was the supervisor of our paint crew; he communicated w/ us throughout the entire process. We are particular about details, and he paid attention to each one of them without making us feel picky. It turned out that it took longer than they thought to get the pH of the newly stuccoed surfaces low enough to be painted. Color Pride was so patient with us, as they had to wait almost a week after they first started our house so that we could spray down the walls multiple times each day before they could be painted. We feel like we really got a quality paint job using Color Pride, and we would highly recommend them.

The owner did return and correct some of the problems at my request, I wish he had better supervised the job.

He is very good, but he is just expensive. They do a very good job. He is my number one choice, but he is always way up there. I would use him again if I got a good price.

They showed up on time and took care of any issues that came up with grace and professionalism. Painted my home and cleaned up leaving no trace of them being there except to leave a very nicely painted exterior. I am pleased with the work and with all of the staff.

Couldn't have been more pleased all the way around

It went very well. Owner and crew were responsive. Very neat, covered all doors and windows. Totally reliable and reasonable on price. Used high quality Dunn Edwards primer and paint. Very pleased and would recommend.

The gentleman was very responsive, came shortly after I called, and seemed to have a reasonable price. However, I found another company that had an even lower price, and I decided to use that company instead.

They seemed very professional and knowledgeable, but their price was much too high for our budget. We ended up finding another company with a lower price.

It was great! The workers were friendly, completed the work much faster than expected, and didn't leave any messes. Furthermore, they did an excellent job for a fair price. What's more is that the owner came out twice just to inspect the quality of the job and ensure I was happy. I would definitely recommend them.

It didn't go well. Specifically, the owner not show for the estimate appointment. When I called two hours after he was scheduled to arrive, he then informed me that he wasn't able to make it and needed to reschedule. I found this to be unprofessional, a waste of my time, and irritating since I had to postpone other work on the house.

Everything went well with this experience. The owner was very responsive and promptly came out to provide an estimate. Additionally, the workers showed up on time, did a good job, and charged a reasonable price for the job.

They acted professionally, and they had a competitive bid. However, I ended up choosing another company that had a greater number of reviews and testimonials.

Everything turned out well. They worked quickly, arrived on time, and did a quality job for a reasonable price. They also cleaned up nicely after the work and left no evidence that they had been at the house.

Barry (owner) and Josh arrived for the initial meeting. Josh did the detailed quotation. He was very professional and inspired confidence. I selected another provider based upon a price differential. In any case, Color Pride impressed me positively and I would certainly work with them in the future or suggest that friends talk to them.

Color Pride was excellent from start to finish! They worked with us on an aggressive start date so we could move into our new home without having to paint after we moved. The contact and customer service from Jessie in the office, and Willie Cuesta for the estimate was top notch. Once the job started, the excellent work continued. The project coordinator showed up and greeted us in person, letting us know that if we had any concerns while the work was being done to contact him personally. The painters, Jim and his son Dakota, worked tirelessly for 4 days to get the work done at the time promised. They showed up on time to start the job every day and communicated with us very well. The end result was fabulous and we are very happy with our newly painted rooms!

On time and efficient- very responsible and great final result.
