Description of Work: I purchased a deal on Angie's List. Provider contacted me and arranged an appt. Arrived on time, discussed services and performed quickly and well washing of all windows. 2 person team was great, as they were here under 2 hours, I was very happy with their services and would recommend them to others. I have paid up to $300 for window cleaning in the past and think that this company was just as good.

Description of Work: It cost 4x the advertised price. I expected to pay more for the number of windows but not that much especially for a single level home. They took a huge chunk of wood out of the window frame which now needs to be repaired (most cost)and they missed 4 windows. Several screens were also not put back in properly. This may be my first and last experience with Angie's list.

Response from Canyon State Window Cleaning
It cost 4 times the advertised price because she had 4 times the amount of windows that the coupon covers. She could've decided to have us clean the 20 windows that were covered in the coupon and there wouldn't have been any extra charge. We don't use anything that would take out big chunks of wood on a window frame. However, if something had been damaged, she should have called us to discuss the issue. As far as missing a few windows, this does rarely happen. We would've come back out and cleaned those windows without a problem. She said her screens were put in wrong. All screens go in the way they come out. It's virtually impossible to put screens back in wrong without bending or possibly breaking them. I'm sure they were put in correctly but it seems that when some people have a small issue, they tend to ad more to the story than what really took place. Either way, a simple phone call to our office and we would have come out to fix the issue. Some people are so quick to give a glorified negative review than to pick up the phone have have us take care of it. What happened to coming up with a solution rather than dragging our name through the mud. If we screw something up, I would gladly come out and fix the problem. It's called great customer service which we are exceptional at doing. If you wait weeks and months after your service to let us know what "possibly" happened, then we have a tendency to not believe you. I mean really, if I had a contractor in my home, and something went wrong, You can bet that it would get addressed right there on the spot. I surely wouldn't wait months to bring it up on a public forum rather than deal with the issue immediately. Although we do feel bad about the issue, it's just been too long to address it with her directly. We are a 5 time award winning company with exceptional reviews and wonderful customer service. In the future, my advise to those that feel that we messed something up, call our office and we'll make sure the problem gets dealt with. immediately.

It's always a little funny when I get a review like this. Why do I think it's funny? Well let me tell you. This member was upset that we charged her extra for cleaning of her sun screens and mirrors. She was informed about the extra charges long before we showed up. What do you think we're gonna do? Work for free? I don't think so. I go over all these things when people call on the phone. I ask about screens and other things to be cleaned. I explain that aside from the windows covered in the coupon, there are extra charges for extra work that we do. I don't think that's too hard to understand. She was upset about the extra charges and followed our tech around to every window and complained about it the whole time. Look, if you don't want to pay the extra charge for the extra work then we'll gladly do what we got contracted for and there won't be an extra charge. Don't tell me about "your other window cleaner", because if they were sooo great, then where are they? Why didn't you call them? Oh could it be that they are out of business or you really weren't happy with them to begin with. Please don't hassle us with stories about the other window cleaner that was supposedly so great. And that he threw in your mirrors and sun screens, blah blah blah. Really, If they were fantastic then where are they? Then you want to try and make us look bad with false stories about what really took place. We are a five time award winning company. We do fantastic work and are always up front about extra charges that you might encounter. Just check out our other fabulous reviews. Over 500 of them. And that's just the ones who took the time to write one. We service hundreds of happy home owners. Our customers call us back because we're great. The only one at her house with the bad attitude was her. As far as sloppy work, we don't do sloppy work, so that was a flat out lie. We'd like to let her know that we wish her good luck in the future with her other window cleaner because we won't be back to service her.
