Arizona Roofing Systems

We contacted them, and it took about a week for my husband to reach out to them a second time. Employees in the office and the workers we met at our home were all very professional and respectful. Their bid was the lowest bid. They were able to start work within 2 weeks. Once they began work, they returned each day until it was finished; they even worked on a Sunday to get it done. The workers were diligent and respectful of persons, property and time; I never saw a worker take a break to smoke a cigarette or look at a cell phone. They cleaned up the yard very well each day. We had some concerns about the aesthetics of silver flashing and messy-looking "putty" that was applied at the very end of the job in the front of the house over the garage. We contacted them about our concerns, and Todd came out while my husband was home to address the concerns. Todd went to Home Depot, bought a can of spray paint and painted the flashing hap-hazardly; it was sloppy. The paint didn't match our house color and did not improve the aesthetics, in my opinion. He never asked if we had paint which matched the house color, which we did and which would have much better solved the problem. We did call them back and scheduled a time for someone to come back out to address the continuing problem, but they no-showed and never did return, never did call us. As for the overall quality of the work, we are satisfied. We won't know until we get a really good rain, but we do not expect any problems with the integrity of the roof. The "fair" rating for quality and the "good" rating for professionalism was because of their lack of concern over aesthetics and their unwillingness to make it right.

It went well they did have to come back out and go over one area that was still leaking after it rained. They did come out and repaired it and it's been two years and no problems.

I had some problems. They said they'd be out at a certain time or whatever, they didn't call or anything like that and then a couple of times I had to call back. It was like I'd be waiting and waiting and I'm thinking this leaks got to stop because it's going to ruin my drywall or something. I don't know if they've changed at all but it seemed like they were trying to run pretty much out of shoestring. When I called them, I got them, they were nice people and everything, but it was just kind of irritating the fact that I wanted to get those leaks done and their equipment wasn't running right when they came. I was kind of concerned about that because they had to quit because that thing that blows the foam wasn't blown that out right and it was running or something like that, and I can't get on the roof to look. They were polite. I wouldn't say they were real punctual. They did do the job finally.

They arrived for the quote right on time. He took a look at the roof, as well as the ceiling inside. He took pictures of potential problems areas on the roof so I could see exactly what he was talking about. He explained our options and the various prices. He wasn't pushy feeling at all - just matter-of-fact in what needed done and what he recommended. When we were ready to have the work done, we were able to schedule an appointment very quickly. We followed up via email with a few concerns we thought of and they responded promptly. On the day of the job, their employee called to let me know he was running just a bit behind, then arrived when promised in his phone call. He looked at the ceiling spots noted in our paperwork so he knew where to concentrate on troublesome spots. He then explained what all he would be doing and that he'd clean up his mess. He got right to work and finished it within the timeframe promised. He didn't leave any mess and he addressed all the concerns we had. We're happy with the job.

In 3 days I went from a roof that would lose shingles every time the wind blew, to a new hurricane rated roof that looks spectacular. On top of that they removed the two Big Whirly roof vents that were broken and didn't spin (hence didn't vent properly), patched the holes, cut 4 new vent holes, and installed new quiet Big Whirly vents so my attic cools down better and saves me money on air conditioning.

They showed up on time, and completed the job in a timely manner. They were respectful of my time schedule and when they finished they cleaned up any mess that was around the house.

The guy came and said my roof looked fine but just needed a few areas sealed. He sealed the area where I was told there was possibly a small leak and sealed around the vents and skylight. It was very quick but he said he used all his sealant to fix some areas. He told me everything looked good. I was not home when he repaired the roof but also I did not go on the roof to check it. I believed him that it was good. Recently when I went on the roof, I found several areas where the sealant is coming up and the top of the home is exposed. It's not the areas that he sealed but why weren't these repaired or mentioned? They did not just appear in the 5 months since he was up there. I would have been willing to have my entire roof re-sealed if necessary. I was not told there were several areas that I needed to take care of. I was told it was fine! The sealant needs to be cleaned up and replaced but no one told me that. I basically wasted $449 when I should have had the entire roof re-done which is why I called them in the first place.

I was really impressed with these guys. They did a great job on the main roof. Owner threw in the overhang roof on patio with the cost. The real problem I have is the non-reponsiveness to my calls. And I know why. They had to replace several sheets of plywood on the back roof. We had to therefore paint the plywood which is no big deal. The big deal is the supports were rotted and they never told us. They just nailed the plywood right over it. So when we went to scrape the paint off of the support and the soffet, the wood just fell apart. The paint was holding it together. . We didn't discover this until the beginning of the summer...but our friend is in construction (retired) and he said that is very old damage and there was no way they couldn't see it. He said we will have to pull up the entire roof to have it repaired. Great deal..eh? I thought...wow...so I felt this was a warranty deal..or at least a honor thing on behalf of the company. So I tried calling..and calling..and calling. As of this date no response. The only option I have is to file a complaint with the Board of Contractors..which I will do.

They were fine.

Josh is friendly and responsive. I got several quotes, and A.R.S. was the least expensive and the only one with a full warranty. They did a great job and got it done fast.

The office person said they like to start early around 6am, they showed up after 8am. The owner of the company has been non-responsive to returning my phone calls, especially after being paid when I have questions about the work.

Everything went excellent, I was a bit hesitant about the deal because all other estimates were much higher. They came out did an estimate my roofing job was a bit over the Deal sq ft coverage, so there was an additional amount but even with the additional amount it was still a great deal. I was in the process of selling my house and job needed to be completed ASAP to be able to sign and finalize the sale, Arizona Roofing Systems came in, they knew about the urgency and need for job to be completed ASAP. Amazingly job was completed in less than 2 days and well ahead of time expected. i will definitely recommend to others and use them in the future. I cannot be more pleased with the service, professionalism, value, and most of all understanding.

The job went very well. The crew showed up and worked very hard for about 4 days. At the end of the day, they always left everything clean and picked up. The crew was very professional and pleasant. There was always at least 4 crew members working hard to get the job done in a timely manner. They were very organized. We will use them again for any of our roof issues.

The first appointment he called to tell me me he couldn’t come. The second time they didn’t show and didn’t call. The third time he did show up, was very nice, professional and apologized for the delay with scheduling.

It was a Big Deal purchase. They showed up on time. They lived up to my expectations. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. It has not rained since they performed the service so I do not know if what they did really worked but it seems okay so far. Everything was fine. Once they got up on the roof and found out what was causing the leak, the price ended up being almost $400 because of what they had to do. They had to bring another person out to finish some work that the builders had not done on the house. I was fine with the work but it did end up costing more. They came out several days after the purchase was made. I would give them a "B" on quality just because they put back some pigeon netting that did not look as good as the way it was.

He came out and looked at the roof and gave me a bid. He was pleasant, but gave me pretty high estimate, as the deal did not apply to the type of roof that I had. He said he could find me some older shingles to match what I currently had. It was very nice of him to come and give me the estimate, I just have decided not to have the work done at this time.

In response to Joshua Smith's reply from the company on December 7th: I can appreciate that there are times when circumstances make it tough to live up to your normal standards. I'm willing to work with you on this. Apply my $149 to your $322 estimate and fix my roof. I will be happy to write a new review about that experience. Thanks Steve Original Review: I placed my order with them on October 13th for a Tile Roof Tuneup, I had three corner tiles blow off the roof in the recent storm so I wanted those fixed and have them look and tune-up the rest of the roof. I was to hear from them within two business days to schedule service. I get this message from them on the 13th: Hi Steve, Steve, can we get your phone number to set up a time and date with you. Thanks! Thanks, ARIZONA ROOFING SYSTEMS I responded to the email and answered through Angie's List to make sure they got it. When I didn't hear back I wrote to them on the 16th and got this reply: Hi Steve, Our apologies, I wasn't notified of the email till just now. We are extremely bust but I do have a specific person that is getting these done just as fast as possible. I will make sure he contacts you first thing in the morning. Thank you! Thanks, ARIZONA ROOFING SYSTEMS Again, I hear nothing back. On the 20th, I emailed them: I purchased service from you on the 13th. I have yet to hear from anybody about setting up service. Clearly you do not want the business and that is fine with me. How do I get a refund for the voucher I purchased? Thanks, Steve After that, I received a phone call from David scheduling service on the 21st. David came to the house and left and I never heard a word. When I got home they had a Roof Inspection paper attached to my door. They wanted to charge 322.00 to fix the three tiles. As for the roof inspection, they wrote "Great Condition". So basically, their Tile Roof Tuneup is nothing more than paying $149.00 for them to give you an estimate to fix anything they find wrong. Seems pretty shady to me. You should not have to pay for an estimate or, if you do, the amount should be refunded. Especially if the result of such a superficial inspection is "Great Condition". I would not use them again.

Took a while to get the quote back. When I did I was a little surprised at how high it was. They were running an Angies list special at the time for a brand new roof and the quote for another layer was nowhere near their special price for a new roof. I wonder what would have happened if I had just bought the special, I would have done the improvements for that price. Either way didnt go through with it because of price and let them know that. They said theyd sharpen their pencils and get back to me. Never heard from them again.

We were aware we had a leak from recent storms. In addition to the tune up, they gave us a reasonable quote to fix a leak that was larger than we thought and replace tiles. On time, professional. Great job.

The company never contacted me. I was finally able to get a hold of them but he couldn't come out for quite some time. This is somewhat of an urgent job so I need to get my money back.

This company did not respond to schedule, even though there was supposed to be a two day turn around. They sent me a message saying how busy they were, not with any scheduling request. They never scheduled and I have waited 10 days. I will not be using them and requested a refund.

The roof turned out great. Workers were very considerate and the price was right.

My experience with Arizona Roofing Systems was all good. They did a good job. They were good, clean people. They came when they said they would, did the job when they said they would and cleaned up and left.

While under the 5 year warranty the roof leaked. They did some repairs but it kept leaking and after a while and many returns to the roof, I was no longer getting timely responses to my calls. Each time they came out there was usually a new guy doing the job. I finally got a new roofer to replace the roof and he showed me many mistakes that had been made that was the cause of the leaks. These problems would not have been fixed unless the roof section had not been removed because they had been hidden.

I am very happy with the job they performed for me. They roof is fixed and I think they have very good prices for roofing repairs. I would like to recommend them to anybody that needs roof repair. I trust this guy and I think he is very responsible.
