Description of Work: Had to replace H2O heater. Called Home Depot installation service. First responder quoted about $600 plus cost of new heater. Later called again and got Delta Mechancial they quoted $328 + cost of heater. They arrived when they said they would & accompanied me to Home Depot to exchange the unit. Returned with new unit & quickly installed it for price quoted.

Description of Work: Contracted by Home Depot to install a garbage disposal. The plumber failed to remove the plug and as a result, our dishwasher failed to drain. Thinking that the dishwasher had gone out, we replaced it. The new one did not drain, and the reason, the plug remained in the new disposal. Delta Mechanicals only compensation was to offer to reimburse the cost of the installation, which they as of now have not done.

Description of Work: We ordered a new platinum level 50 gallon 12YR warranty water heater listed as $639 on a Sunday morning at Home Depot after discussing the alternatives with Mike of HD and Adam of Delta Mechanical via phone call made by Mike. We were told $1284 would buy it and get it installed with a drip pan and the disposal of the old one. We agreed, and it was efficiently and professionally installed in our garage by noon on Monday as the temperature headed to 110 degrees outside the garage where the water heater lives. Before Delta arrived that morning, I had quickly picked up and painted a 24 x 24 inch piece of 3/4 inch plywood to put over the platform surface damaged by the feet of the old water heater, as I was told the installer would not be doing any work on the platform. I was allowed to nail it into place after the old WH was lifted down by the strong and charming Russian born installer. I would not be afraid to do similarly again. I just never knew how much of a premium we paid.

+ -1 moreARRANGEMENTS WERE MADE FOR THEM TO INSTALL MY NEW WATER HEATER ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20, BETWEEN 1 AND 4. WHEN HE HAD NOT SHOWN, I CALLED THEM AROUND 4:30 INQUIRING WHY HE HAD NOT YET ARRIVED. THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT KNOW WHERE HE WAS BECAUSE HE HAD NOT CALLED IN. THEY RESCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 21, BETWEEN 9 AND NOON. HE ARRIVED BETWEEN 9 AND 9:30. HE WAS FINISHED BY 10:45 AND DID A GOOD JOB. THEIR OFFICE PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL.

+ -1 moreTHEY QUOTED THE JOB OVER THE PHONE AND STUCK TO THEIR BID. THE WORK NEEDED WAS ACTUALLY MUCH LESS INVOLVED AND EXPENSIVE THAN OTHERS HAD INDICATED IT WOULD BE. RATHER THAN DIGGING UP OUR YARD AND DRIVEWAY, THEY WERE ABLE TO REPLACE THE WATER PIPE BY SIMPLY PULLING IT OUT OF THE GROUND.
