Came out right on time. The tech was friendly and helpful. Gave us all our options and helped us chose the best for us. The installation went smoothly. These guys take care of my AC as well, and I am completely satisfied with this job and the rest of what they do for us.

Very disappointment. Sick to my stomach over how poorly we have been treated by this company. We just spent $10,000 with them and the unit is not functioning properly. We are in the middle of record temperatures so you can imagine our urgency. The office manager Nuvia is extremely rude and should not be speaking to customers. She told me that they didn't make the unit just installed it (thank goodness). I eventually hung up and called trane and they were a huge help. This should have been done by air and water factor. I was told the manager would call me back and when he didn't I called an 2 hours later and was immediately put on a lengthy hold. Please do not use this company!

Not only late and, but incredibly incompetent. I was assigned Air & Water Factor from my home warranty company, Republic, for a garbage disposal tripping the circuit breaker issue. After 50 minutes past the scheduled service time (which was 7AM, first service call of the day), I had to call the dispatcher which went to voice mail. I got a call back at 8:05AM telling me that they had issues with the driver picking up the truck. No problem, I just expect a courtesy call when you are going to be an hour late. When they showed up, he plugged in the garbage disposal and it tripped the circuit breaker. He told me I have a bad switch. I said plug another garbage disposal into the outlet and see if it works... he said he doesn't have a garbage disposal. I asked 'Why would you show up to fix a garbage disposal without one in your truck?' else in and see if the switch works? He said he isn't an electrician he doesn't diagnose electrical problems. I told him it's not an electrical problem. I plugged in a high horsepower air compressor to the outlet for the garbage disposal and turned it on / off to demonstrate it wasn't the switch. He said he had to call Old Republic to get the work order reassigned for electrical. I think the plumber was just hoping to turn the hex wrench wrench on the bottom of the garbage disposal, reset the breaker, and get their $65 fee. He knew the disposal was bad when he left. He was either lazy, or incompetent, either way I am glad Republic sent another plumber out to replace the broken disposal.

Anyone that will ask you to lie to your insurance company and want you to do it right away is a fraud.
Description of Work: Installed a new water heater, which is so far doing ok. Also had them install a new reverse osmosis unit under sink. Well, it had been steady leaking from the time they installed it for over a week when we finally noticed the soping wet drywall, new baseboards, cabinets, etc. We all ruined. Everything had too be torn out, cabinets drywall, everything! I called the company as soon as we noticed it, and he told me how to shut the valve off. He came over the next day w a plumber and after they had a pow wow in the front yard, they came in to say that the disposal was leaking and they fixed that. I didn't notice that was leaking earlier because nothing on that side of the sink that iI use was coming out if the cabinet wet. So the next day, the owner calls me and tells me to file a homeowners insurance claim and tell them that all the water damage was due to the disposal, which was a out right LIE.. he counseled by husband and I on what to say. He was going to chip in $500 and his water restoration partner would chip in another $500, leaving us with the rest of the deductible of $1500!! I thought about this for about 2 minutes and told him no....I'm not making a insurance claim on this and I'm not lying about the truth.

Response from Air & Water Factor
We did install a reverse osmosis filtration system at the customer’s house and unfortunately there was a defective fitting that developed a leak. When we responded to the leak we also discovered and documented a leak from the garbage disposal that was installed by another company. As there were multiple parties involved and assessing liability was difficult we suggested that the customer turns to their homeowner’s insurance which would make them whole immediately and then can subrogate from the insurance companies of the contractors involved. This way the customer would have the repairs done right away and the bickering is left to the respective insurance companies. Our insurance company was notified and is ready to assist for our portion of the claim however we cannot assume liability for another company’s installation.

We love our new Trane unit installed by Air & Water Factor. I found them on Angie?s list. I called and was set up for an appointment the same day. When the tech looked at our unit the news was not good, but hearing it come from a professional who was able to empathize and had our best interest in mind helped ease the pain. He explained everything to us and even took pictures to show us the damage to our unit. However, the estimator came in and laid it out for me and I chose a mid-level system. Before he left he got me up into the attic and pointed out some issues with how the original system was installed and explained why and how they would install the new system to make it work more efficiently. Everyone at Air & Water Factor from the ladies on the phone to the techs were very courteous and professional. The owner came to check how the install was going and make sure everything is done correctly. I will recommend this company to anyone and everyone I know.

We needed a check up on our AC and called Air & Water Factor, because we have used them for our plumbing needs. They were very professional and really did a great job. Scott arrived about 10 am on Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend when my compressor quit. within two hours of a phone call for service . He promptly diagnosed the problem, replaced the fan and had the system operational by 11 am . During the discussion Scott appraised me of the policy of giving me credit for the entire cost of the service including parts if I purchased an upgraded system. Tim came out right away and proposed 3 different upgrades. We decided to go with a larger, more efficient Trane system when allowed remote control via smart phone, or tablet. The same week Travis and Scott replaced the entire system which included working in the attic for half the time with air temperatures well above 100. The entire process too a single day. They lft the site clean and fully operational . Kudos to all
Description of Work: Initially replaced compressor fan on a 12 year old A/C unit within 2 hours of a Sunday call over a holiday weekend. As 12 years is at the tail end of a useful life, I decided to replace the entire system with Air & Water Factor Factor which included a credit for the previous work on the old system.

Everything went very smooth from the consultation to the installation. The installation was done in a day and they came out a week later to balance the air flow. When summer hit, we no longer had some rooms that were cool and others that were hot. Everything that these guys did was as good as I could hope. The new return and supply vents line up straight with the walls. I'm very impressed with the work that was done and I will use them anytime I need more work done.

Scheduled an estimate, called at the end of the same business day and the guy came right over and went over everything in clear detail. He gave several options, gave absolutely no pressure either way and made things simple. He went over our situation going over every factor that contributed to heat staying and leaving in various parts of the apartment. Prices were very fair, all appointments were done ahead of schedule, and I feel much more comfortable about this unit should anything go wrong. It's like life support in Arizona, and I trust Air Factor with everything. Excellent service, experience, warranty, and overall impression of the business.

Great experience. Newly purchased house with 14 year old HVAC system. We explored cost to replace versus cost to repair / tune-up. They were forthright on the pros & cons of each approach and gave some recommendations to consider. We ultimately decided to replace the units. They had all three units replaced within a week with no surprises. Highly recommend!!!

We had relatives staying at our Condo; when they arrived and the air conditioner was not working. I called Air Factor, gave them the details, they contacted our relative, and Justin showed up immediately and fixed the problem. 2 years before we had used Air Factor and Water to do some major work on our air - conditioner. Air Factor is good about calling every 2 years to see if we would like to do a maintenance check. They are not pushy. We highly recommend them.

On June 18, 2013, Air Factor serviced my air conditioners at a cost of over $1500.00 (upsale-my fault). On May 20, 2014, my units were serviced again at a cost of $255.00. On June 23, 2014 one of the units went down and Air Factor's tech came to fix my unit. Cost $69.95. I thought it was interesting that they would not back their work done on the service visit. The tech at that time told me that there might be an electrical problem needing an electrician. I thought that was why he was at my house. The same unit went out again on July 4, 2014. When I called the next morning, I was told that there would be another service call if they were to come out again. I rejected that as I will no longer deal with a company that does not stand behind their work. There was no interest in solving my problem or helping the situation short of charging me for another visit. I called another company and was told, "Of course we check and service all electrical connections. That's what we are licensed to do." I will not longer patronize a company that does not do what an air conditioning contractor is expected to do. I will give them this. They were on time. Update: The next technician who came from another company said that a wire to the furnace had all but burned out, was shorting and should have been found by an air conditioning technician. I had a call from the president of AirFactor questioning my review. Although I could tell he wasn't happy with the review, we communicated well and he was willing to listen to my point of view. I thought it was classy of the president to want to deal with the problem. It is not my goal to harm the reputation of AriFactor. Many reviews here indicate they are a good company. I just want to relate my specific problem and thought it could have been handled better.

$69.95

Response from Air & Water Factor
Dear Member, As we truly appreciate your prior patronage with us, I feel it is necessary to clarify a couple of items based on this post and subsequent update. First, Air Factor does stand behind and back (warranty) all of their work for a period of 12 months for both parts and labor. We do not warranty ‘New Issues’ as they would be unrelated to the previous visits. Think of it this way; If you had your car in the shop for wiper blades and the next week the gas cap broke, would that be the repair shops fault? Of course not. In regard to the 6/24/14 visit and the $69.95 service charge, this charge covers the cost to send a technician out to your home and diagnose the concern. As this situation was a New Concern, we don’t warranty it, or ‘back it’ as you stated. The diagnosis from our technician was that there was an electrical issue in the house wiring leading to the furnace. We advised you in writing to seek the assistance of an Electrical Contractor, as we don’t do house wiring and are not Licensed Electrician’s. It would be an unfair assumption to expect an HVAC Contractor to perform house wiring repairs without the proper licensing. WE DO check ALL electrical connections within the equipment however as our license allows for that. According to your Update, you next contractor confirmed what we already told you. So we did find the concern. You apparently didn’t follow the advice of our technician, who stated in writing, to seek an electrician, as you called back on 7/04/14 with the same concern because the concern was still present. All in all, I am glad to know you got the system fixed, but just hope the person who did fix it was a licensed electrician. Best Regards, Air Factor Management

Tim was very easy to work with. He came over, took measurements, looked at the old unit and where things were placed. He then showed me 3 different units that would work in my space. He explained the differences between each one and how they would work for me. Once I chose one we went through everything line by line and I added or took away things that I wanted or didn't want. He also gave me a credit for the work they had done 4 weeks earlier to get the old unit running enough to get me some cool air. He did not try to sell me anything I didn't need, which was nice. They estimated 6 hours to install but had it done in 4. They were there when they said they would be. They were very mindful of my home and took care not to damage anything while pulling out the old units and replacing with the new units. Tim came back a couple of weeks later to inspect the unit to make sure everything was still working as promised, which it was. He also explained to me how the moisture sensing units worked and what I should do it they were tripped. I would recommend, and have recommended, Air Factor to anyone who wants an honest, caring service provider. They aren't the cheapest on the block, nor the most expensive. You truly get what you pay for with this company. They are a great company and all of their people that I have had interactions with were easy to get along with and very courteous and helpful.
Description of Work: Replaced my air conditioner, it was 32 years old. They could have repaired it but because of the age and the amount of electricity it was using we determined that a new on was the way to go.

On Apr03, my heat pump kicked on because of the cool morning. The air wasn't heating up. I called a heating and air conditioning service that I use. They came out and determined that it needed about two pounds of refrigerant. I told them I had gotten three pounds in Nov 2013 and told them there has to be a leak. The service guy determined it needed a new coil. My unit was from 1998. Service guy called the next day and told me the part was obsolete so that left me no choice but to purchase a new heat pump. I had his company salesman come out and give me a quote. My brother said to try Air Factor because he had them replace his a/c unit last year and also had them replace one on one of his rental homes. I called them on Friday April 4th and salesman named Tim came out within two hours. He first went upstairs and looked in my attic to check on the ventallation tubing and determined it all looked good and no apparent leaks. He them climbed onto my roof to look at the unit. It sits on a small balcony off the back of the house. He took pictures and took measurements. He then found a unit for me, a 13 SEER, 3 ton Bryant unit which is made by Carrier. Total price was $5585.00. The other bid I got was about $940 more than his. He came back on Monday April 7th and I signed a contract with them. He said they had an installation opening on Wednesday April 9th. The installer came out about an hour prior to disconnect the power from the unit as well as the wooden stand it was sitting on. The crane came about an hour later and took old unit off and put new unit on. Total installation took 4 hours. The salesman named Tim had an unbelieviable knowledge of heating and air conditioning. I have never seen of any guy that had his knowledge. I recommend Air Factor highly.
