ACME Locksmith

Would rate 5 on price, except the angie's list is apparently only honored when you make the apt online, not when you phone. Even when you say you called them from angie's list ,and even when the locksmith onsite asks where you got the referall (I said when I called in) and you say angie's list. This was $20 off the service call, instead of $59 it would have been $39--again this price was not honored (I did not notice it until after the gentleman left). The service was good, but I find this practice by Angies List subscribers to be strange. It's happened to me both times in using the service. I know I got much faster service by phoning in. And this company answered the phone!! Most of the one's I have tried to schedule on Angie's list do NOT answer the phone--and they do not call back quickly either. This one gets a A+ on all but the part on not recognizing and honoring the special service charge price.

I lost all the keys to my car. The car was a 98 so the key had a chip in it. It wasnt as simple as just having a new one cut, it had to be programemed. The acme lock smith came out and cut me a programable key, programmed it and made me 2 spares (third one free). I have no complaints and I was very happy with the service. I called them back a few months later to change the locks on my doors.

I called on Saturday morning and was told someone would come out that day between 1 and 4. Thomas showed up around 1:30 or so. He immediately went to work on the door and was done by 2:15. The security door had been installed about 8 years ago and in the last 2 years it had become increasingly difficult to lock until it finally froze up. Thomas said that out of 5 pins inside the lock, only 3 were actually there, meaning the lock had not been installed correctly right from the beginning. In the space where the missing pins were supposed to be, a bug had gotten into the lock and made a nest. It was long dead but the remains had caused even more problems. Thomas fixed everything and the lock operates so smoothly now! Very pleased with the immediate response and the professional work. Thank you, Thomas! Would definitely call back for any future work.

They were professional and courteous and offered to review pics of the safe, the serial number and make/model to try and obtain the combination from the manufacture prior to a service call to help determine the extent of service. They were unable to obtain the combination and were unfortunately unable to provide a service within the time frame we needed. Provided us with a direct cell phone to their safe specialist so that we could text them pictures of our safe.

We didn't have any service done by Acme. We changed our minds on having the work done.

I called Robert to get a price for two remote-key for my two ford vehicles. He was very helpful, and interested in giving me the lowest cost service he could provide. He was out of stock on the keys but ordered keys for us and called when keys were available. We elected to go to their store to get the keys cut, programmed and bound to each vehicle. Sean performed the actual work and was fast, accurate and courteous. He did the job right the first time. He did all the work at lunchtime without one complaint! I plan to use this company for all of my future locksmith needs!

Excellent service on all dimensions.

When the door handle broke, I had gone to Lowe's and bought a new set that matched the one in place. When I attempted to remove the old handle, I could not do so because of stripped screws and that led me to calling ACME to come out and replace it for me. When the locksmith arrived, he assessed the old handle as well as the new one that I bought and they were different brands. This caused an issue in that the new handle was longer and a new hole would need to be drilled in the door to accommodate the longer length. The locksmith then removed the old handle to see exactly what was broken and not allowing the handle to latch. Since the old handle was no longer being manufactured, the locksmith called the manufacture to see if the part could be replaced. I appreciated this because he came back to me with options...send the handle to the manufacturer to have them replace the part for relatively low cost and a new hole would not need to be drilled for the new handle BUT I would only be able to keep my front door closed by utilizing the dead bolt and because of the holidays approaching, it would take 2 to 4 weeks to complete the repair. The other option would be to install the handle that I purchased from Lowe's and drill the new hole to accommodate the new length. The lock smith also explained to me how I could repair the hole from the old lock so that it would look uniform with the antique wood style door that I had. I chose to have the new handle installed. All of this was done on the same day I called them which was a Saturday afternoon.

I was completely satisfied with the service Acme Locksmith provided. The person I spoke to on the phone when I called to set up my appointment listened to what I needed and was very helpful with suggestions. I was able to obtain an appointment 2 days later. The locksmith they sent showed up on time, was very professional, did an excellent job on the locks, and took the time to answer all of my questions. He was also able to squeeze in an install of a security lock on my sliding door, which I had not mentioned when I called. I did use the $39 service charge deal from Angie's List, which saved me $20. I was very happy with the service and would definitely recommend them to friends.

It turned out really good. I liked that he was on time. He was very professional and gave us some security tips that we had not thought about. The locks are fine. There were additional charges beyond the big deal amount. The total cost was $150.

He was very personable and efficient. He had no trouble rekeying the locks and asked us how many keys we wanted. We would definitely use this company again.

The locksmith did an excellent job. He showed up on time, had the locks changed out before I knew it and provided the requested number of keys which I tested in all locks. They work perfectly and I am very pleased with the service. I would definitely use them again.

These people were terrific! I had been waiting for a total of seven weeks to hear from the combination of my HOA, rental agent, and local post office to hear if any were authorized or inclined to replace the lock on my mailbox. ACME Locksmith was the complete opposite of the indifferent ineptitude I had encountered. The locksmith was a few minutes early, done in 15 minutes, and friendly. What a pleasure to work with a company that provides such outstanding prompt service!

I visited the location on 12th St. and Glendale because I lost my keys to my camper shell. I was very happy with the customer service I received and I had new keys made for me in no time at all. I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a locksmith.

Communication was wonderful. I called and explained that I would not be home but a friend would be there on the appointed day. I was told exactly what to expect, how to prepare, and what cost would be. He called 15 minutes prior to appointed time, arrived on time, and provided excellent service. He had my friend try all the keys/locks to insure she was satisfied. Fantastic - can't say enough good things about the service and qualify!

The locks I had were high security locks, and they asked me to come to the shop so they could look at keys. When I arrived, there were two employees there -- one was on the phone, trying to help another customer, and another was working at a bench. There was no "be right with you", or any comment acknowledging I was there. There was only one other customer in the shop, and I waited 25 minutes before any employee even spoke to me. Then they weren't able to make the determination about whether they could rekey my locks right away. They took my number, and said they'd call back. But they never did. | |From what I could hear from conversations they were having with other customers, they were at least realistic about what they could do. And though I don't have direct experience, they sounded like they are competent. But they score pretty low on the courtesy scale, at least in this instance. | |I had the work done by another locksmith.

I've owned my place for 12 years & have never locked the storage shed, but today, it was locked. They sent Steve right away and he got the door opened immediately.

Re-keyed the entire house ... excellent job.

They rekeyed a front storm door to match the keys to the rest house. The did a good job and I was pleased with the service

It was done great. They were very nice, on time, and the price is right. Everything was good.

It went fine. After sevicing, the lock worked much better. Also, he slightly enlarged the opening that the dead bolt slides into so the bolt would slide in more easily.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was perfect. The part was about $350 additional to the Big Deal price, but it was the only way to fix the door. He was great and I recommend them to anyone.

Matt arrived on time, did an exceptional job, offered his experience and suggestions for taking care of these door locks on a routine basis. He did all that I wanted and more in less than 45 minutes.

It worked out pretty good. They did fine. The locks were all fine. I would use them again.
