ACME Locksmith

Had a GREAT experience today with ACME locksmith. Called to have someone come and assist in replacing my back door lock that broke. Within 45 minutes Ryan arrived and replaced my dead bolt lock and cleaned up my door handle to make it work more efficient. Also re-keyed the whole house so there was only one key (as I wanted) for the entire house. Replaced several broken locks and door handles too. Ryan was professional, fast, and very customer focused. He explained what he was doing, ensured that it was working correctly and re-checked prior to departing. I would recommend ACME to anyone needing locksmith assistance. I have used ACME and have had a very positive experience. The customer service provided was what made the difference. Friendly, fast and good price.

He was timely, he did run into some an issues he didn't expect, and the job ended up taking much longer than it should have

It was great. I have been to them before and I think they are very good at what they do. There were no additional charges. One time I went there and the way the deal was written, they even gave me extra things. They made a standard key and that required them going in to the car with a laptop and doing things like that.

ACME Locksmith arrived on time and only took about 30 minutes to re-key about 9 locks. I had purchased a coupon to save on the service call, make sure to have it printed to give to them. Super nice young man changed all the locks in no time at all. The per key was really reasonable and we are very happy with the work. They also tell you that it's rare to have a problem with a lock but if you do to just call and they will come back out and help you. I think it's great they guarantee their work. Highly recommend.

Ryan called to let us know he was on his way when he was about 20 minutes from our home. He was very efficient and friendly. Our small poodle, Tootsie,really made over him and he was nice to her and took the time to pet her. We are both elderly and Ryan was very patient in explaining everything about the job and what he was doing at all times. We felt very comfortable having him in our home to do this work for us. He also let us know of a coupon I could get over the computer from Angie's list. They are the ones who referred Acme Locksmith to us. We are on a fixed income and we appreciated his thoughtfullness in letting us know about the coupon. We would highly recommend Acme Locksmith to our family & friends.

Young man seemed to have difficulty performing all tasks. We didn't have the keys for any of the locks needing service, so it took some time to unlock all of them. One of the patio door locks was "frozen", but eventually the technician got it moving again & re-keyed both of the door locks. For the acrylic trunk lock, he was finally able to open the lock, but a new key could not be made for it because of the type of lock it was, I suppose. As a result, the front piece (don't know locksmith terminology) that would lock the lid in place hangs down now in perpetuity! I've wondered since this experience if a more experienced locksmith could have performed the tasks more easily & resolved the problem with the trunk.

Ryan extracted a key from an ancient deadbolt & was able to reinstall the lock & modify the strikeplate. Ryan was punctual & worked effficiently. He also cut a couple of new keys. I was pleased with the services rendered & would use Acme again. I considered the work done by Ryan to be a good value, especially with the Angie's List coupon.

Our appointment was scheduled for the morning after the afternoon I made the initial phone call. Ryan was right on time, first thing in the morning. He was polite and professional and repaired and replaced the jammed latch in 15 minutes. He even gave recommendations on how we could prevent this jam from happening in the future. I would highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

The scheduling was very easy when I made the original appointment. The technician called me 8:45AM advising that he would be ready at 9AM, which was in line with their estimated time frame. I advised that I would be able to be there by 9:10AM. We finally agreed upon meeting at 9:30AM. The technician arrived at about 9:45AM and estimated it would take about 30 minutes to complete the work. It ended up taking over an hour. Although it did take longer than I expected, it didn't have a dramatic impact on what I was doing. Overall, the work got completed and I would probably use them again.

Technician showed up a bit late, but once he started working, he took the lock apart, modified the lock holes to fit the door lock appropriately, and got everything working and locking as it should.

During our intial phone call, Ryan mentioned the current storm, at 8:00 pm, might cause an unavoidable traffic delay, but he showed up on time. Ryan also informed me of the cost, and assured me this would be the cost at the time of service. The company van was labeled with the logo and contact information, which was comforting. Ryan was very pleasant and quickly provided access to my home. Very pleased.

The technician unlocked the storeroom door in about fifteen seconds, which was fine, but 60 dollars for that seemed a little high, and that was using an Angie's List special promotion. The problem came when it was time to pay. The technician insisted I had to give him an actual coupon or I've have to pay the usual full price for the service call. I said that was unreasonable, in this day and age of sending and receiving everything electronically. I told him I could e. mail my coupon to the company, but he thought that would not be acceptable. Finally he called his office and was told I did not in fact need to hand him a coupon but simply give him the code, which I did. The next problem was he could not leave me a receipt proving that I'd paid him. He said one would be e. mailed to me. What was e. mailed to me, however, was the invoice, with no indication I'd paid. I called the office and the receptionist there said she'd send me a receipt by e. mail the next day. It never came, so I called the office several days later and got a locksmith on the phone, who was very pleasant, but he couldn't send me a proof of payment. I gave up after all the unnecessary trouble and waste of time. This company seems absurdly unprofessional and of poor quality, and I'm surprised Angie's List would promote its services.

I had a 4 hour window from 9-1 and Bobby from Acme showed up right at 9. He looked at the door and because the door was hinky, he adjusted the lock "holes" for lack of a better term so that the deadbolt would work properly. Bobby was great and I will use Acme in the future. Thanks, Acme!

I don't remember or care, but Angie just refuses to let it go. No, Angie, I do NOT want to review this person! Please, Angie, please make it stop. It's been FOUR YEARS now. Please let go. It's time to move on. I do NOT wish to review every vendor I've ever used nor do I wish to be assigned random reviews of people I've used. Give me a "no" option, Angie, it's for the best.

I called and they came out within a couple of hours and took care of everything timely. They were courteous and very easy to work with.

The original lock on this door was worn out from old age. Replacing the original lock was not an option as a matching replacement was not available. Thus the technician installed a Double-Bolt Lock manufactured by Cal-Security Enterprises, Inc. This lock is far superior to the factory installed lock for actual security purposes. Plus it has a special safety feature which will prevent young children from unlocking the door and leaving the house un-noticed.. The entire process took less than an hour to complete. This is the second time we have utilized Acme Locksmith for lock issues. They are the best. The technician for this repair was Ryan - give him an A+ for his good work. Thanks Ryan!

I called to make an appointment for a house call to repair and re-key the lock mechanism for an outdoor security gate. Based on my conversation, the locksmith speculated that I knew enough to disassemble the lock assembly and bring the lock into the shop; thus saving the cost of an expensive house call. I did so, and brought it lock in that afternoon. In the shop, it is first come, first serve. They were able to immediately clean and lubricate the mechanism and re-key two cylinders at a reasonable price while I waited. I am very pleased with Acme Locksmith and will use them again.

They were absolutely excellent. I was very happy with the results. He also took the time to re-grind some of the door grinds. They got the job done in less than one hour. The scheduling was easy.

The repairman was great. We thought that we were going to have to replace everything, but he was able to find a way to repair every issue instead.
