He showed up on time and rekeyed all the locks we needed in a timely manner. I was very impressed that he replaced a bent bolt mechanism with a new one he saw sitting in our garage from a previous door knob replacement.

The contractor came on time, and had to break the lock into small pieces to release it. He then replaced it, and replaced anther lock on the screen door and aligned the door at the same time.

I phoned Violet at ACME's main office for a quote to have our new house re-keyed. She was very polite and helpful. Her quote was itemized and accurate: $12.00 to re-key each lock, $2.47 for each key (the first two are free), a flat $59.00 travel fee, and a $20.00 fuel surcharge for clients who live outside of the 101. I had a few questions about the security of our front door, and she said the technician would be able to answer those free of charge. She also mentioned an Angie's List coupon that offered great savings: spend $35.00 for $75.00 worth of service. I made an appointment for the locksmith between 9 AM and 11 AM the next day. The technician, Tom, phoned me on my cell phone at 9 AM to confirm the appointment and update his ETA. He arrived at 9:30 AM. Tom was also polite and got to work quickly. He finished the entire re-keying job in about 20 minutes, even though our front door lock was a high-security lock and required extra attention. He also answered my questions honestly, without trying to sell me unneeded equipment or additional services. Overall, I was very impressed with ACME Locksmith. I would use them again in required, especially if they offer another great coupon on Angie's List.

He arrived promptly and was able to complete both tasks in less than 15 minutes. He was very professional and we were very pleased. We have his business card and will definitely call this company for any other work as needed.

I contacted Acme because I saw from their Angie's List page that they provide 24-hour service. I spoke to someone at approximately 7:30pm; after asking a few questions to assess the problem with our door, he gave a straight-forward and very reasonable price quote. He told me who would be calling and what to expect next. A technician named Alex called me within 10 minutes, and he arrived at 8:30pm, which was the time he stated he would be here. He quickly confirmed the problem --- the door had shifted, so the deadbolt and knob-handle were not lining up properly with their strike-plates -- and had the repair completed in less than 30 minutes. He was courteous, professional, and efficient. Also, we have several cats, and the technician was kind and patient about this; this was very important to me, and I appreciated this aspect of the technician's service. I will definitely use this company again and recommend them to others. I have never had an after-hours issue with my home taken care of so quickly and easily.

Arrived on time and promptly installed the dead bolt. The installer was pleasant and very professional.

Matt was very knowledgeable, and explained the workings of the front door lock in preventing someone from using a bump key to gain entry to the house. While taking apart the front door lock to show me the principals of home security, Matt noticed that the builder of the house removed three of the five pins in the front lock. As Matt explained, this was a serious breach of my homes security, and Matt had to rebuild the lock in order to restore it to the original working condition. He also made recommendations in securing my sliding glass doors to the patio and balcony. The locks that he installed will ensure that my home is very secure, and I have peace of mind for my family’s safety. The recommendations that Matt made concerning the securing of my garage were extremely helpful. He also explained how to prevent someone from using the pull cord in the garage to gain entry by avoiding the remote entry security feature. I was very happy with his knowledge and professionalism and will use him in the future. I recommend that anyone reading this that purchases a new house from a builder hire him, because it is the safety and security of your family that you are protecting. I would hate to think of the consequences of falsely believing I was secure, when in fact the safety of my family could have been easily compromised.

The service was great! We called and scheduled services to change 4 of our door locks. We had just moved into our new house and had the key to the front door but not to the other locks, 2 for the back door and 2 on the door to the garage. He changed the locks to the garage door and the back door and matched the lock for the front door for free. He was very prompt and courteous. The price was quite acceptable since we had the angie's list coupon. Thanks for the great work!

We recently moved and wanted to have all the locks re-keyed. Additionally, there were some deadbolts that needed replacement. The locksmith arrived on time; worked quickly and did everything requested. All locks re-keyed to the same key, new deadbolt installed. Provided with 4 keys for locks.

Called them on a Monday and they offered to show up that same day but I wasn't available, so we set up an appointment for Wednesday. The locksmith showed up at the start of the two hour window, which was nice. He was nice to deal with and knew exactly what to do. He took the lock apart, created 3 keys for me and put the lock back together all in about 15 minutes. Needless to say I was pleased with the efficient service. The Angie's List coupon made it affordable.

Overall experience was excellent. No trouble recommending him. Made it to the house as he said he was. Courteous. Took time with me - knew I wanted security ideas. Knows his business.

I bought a house and didn't close on time so had to reschedule several times. The people at ACME were very professional, polite, and understanding. I needed all of the locks in the house rekeyed. Matt called 15 minutes before arrival, arrived on time, and finished the job in a timely manners. After the job was finished he took the time to explain other things that could be security concerns and the "new" ways thieves are gaining access to houses. I very much appreciated this and was able to take care of these things quickly. Great service. Personal and professional.

The company was very responsive and came the day and time that I requested. The young man rekeyed all the locks and made some suggestions for security that I appreciated. He was extremely professional and worked the entire time and finished the job in a very timely manner.

They did a couple of extra things that I asked them to do. They were very prompt, courteous and they just did a really good job. I would definitely recommend them to others.

At about 7pm, coming back from a trip to the library, the cylinder of the lock from the front door popped out as we were going into the house. I called ACME and they ask for directions and said they would be there in about 20min. I didn't ask for an estimate, but mentioned that I had find them through Angie List They showed up on time, gave me the option to change the cylinder or the lock, I choose to change the lock. They warned me that the decorative piece around the lock may not fit anymore, I accepted the risk. They changed the lock with one with the same style. They were pleasant and polite, and I was relieved to have my lock fix on the same day - Charge was reasonable for an off hours work.

The man who came to our house was thorough and very helpful. After he left all of the deadbolts worked much better than before and they were all on on key. He also explained to me why some of the door latches aren't working well and what to do about it.

I was very impressed with the young lady who took my initial call. This company went out of their way to accomodate me and made sure my needs were taken care of quickly! The gentleman who came out to actually fix the problem was prompt, courteous, and very friendly. The lock was replaced although the option of fixing the existing lock was offered in case that was my preference. I absolutely could not have been happier with the level of service I received from these folks and would not hesitate in the least to recommend this company. They were outstanding across the board!

This company was great to work with. The person answering the phone was professional, pleasant and helpful. The technician that arrived not only created new keys but noticed that I was struggling to open the door and he discovered that the initial installer of the door handle had put it in backwards so it was ALWAYS difficult to open. This technician corrected the installation and it works great now! (he didn't charge extra for this helpful fix)

I had Acme out two different times to do work for me. The first time, I had them cut a replacement key (at my house) for a Dodge Minivan, and the second time, I had them come out and program some new keyless entry keys for the same vehicle. Both times they did excellent work, and one of their service guys even went out of his way to leave behind reference numbers for future keyless programming. It was great to have home service, especially for what I thought was a reasonable fee, and what was excellent pricing on the keys themselves (way below dealer).

They were good. They were friendly and did the work pretty fast. I would consider using them in the future.
