Very slowly. He promised once he commenced our wall that he would be there on it and only it, until completion, as we stressed that this was important to us. However this was a lie, as he then did the standard textbook operation of a bad contractor, where they have you sign the contract, promise work will commence as soon as you sign and pay your deposit, once that's done, we never saw him, and found he was off running around town doing the same to other people. He gave us a completion date of 1 month which was a week longer, than the other estimates. It took him 5 months and that was only because we complained and threatened to call the Registrar of Contractors frequently. If we had not we are convinced he would have been here at least 8 months. He also has very bad attitude, is not apologetic in any way for his 'no show' times.
