Overall from start to finish Sound Bank has earned its name, overrated service and overpriced costs. The job in all should of been no more then 1 1/2 hours at similar cost of $175.00 from an electrician. They bank your check and leave you hanging with poor quality and service.
Description of Work: We requested to have my flat screen tv installed and mounted to the wall with the home speakers, concealing all the wires. All the hardware was provided by myself. Spoke with the technician from Sound Bank and asked about costs and they stated they could not give me an estimate until they arrived to my home. Scheduled the service and the technician arrived (Gary) only not to give me an estimate, but to take 6 hours to mount a 62" flat screen TV and cut an outlet out of the wall and run the wires in through the wall. This is a new home, 6 months old, with no seeable obstacles. The technichian dragged his feet and and act if he was having such a hard time. After all was said and done, the mount was upside down, not allowing access to remove the television from the mount and the power cable was severed from him placing the cable under the sliding mound with all the weight of the Television on the cable.

Response from Sound Bank Electronics
As a 36 year old company we are dismayed at your review of our work. There are, however, a few 'errors' in your statements. Most electricians charge at a rate of $85.00/hour. Ours is $75. The TV mount is NOT upside down-it is mounted correctly. There were no wires going to the speakers so they had to be routed through the attic space and fished in the walls. It would be impossible to have done all of the above in 1.5 hour total time (including showing you how to work the system). As we are located in Lake Havasu and not Kingman it would have been unreasonable to expect there to not be a service charge for travel-as you were informed before we booked the appointment. The job on-site took a total of 6 hours-of which you were billed 5. You did not have any of the appropriate cabling so we provided that at a reasonable cost. (a quick google search confirmed this) I thing the most disturbing part of this review is that the owner of the company (myself) had to hear about your experience through an on-line review. I would have appreciated the opportunity to solve this matter in person instead of in this manner. Our work DOES speak for itself as the hundreds of notes I have on file show, some of which are posted on our website. Again we are sorry for the experience you had with our company.
