I needed a new air condition unit to replace a unit that was over 30 years old in my rental property. I have a nephew who is a heating and air condition contractor in Salt Lake City. I called him for advice and he could not believe the quotes I was receiving. He suggested I needed a "packaged heat pump". I went with Goodman as it was price effective and he agreed that it was a good choice for the money since these days most of these units no matter the brand have very similar parts. The thing with Goodman is that you can easily google it and find a price for the unit you need online. I was amazed to find that I was receiving quotes that were over $3000 (some way beyond) than the price I discovered online for the price of the unit. By all means do your own homework. Get some quotes. You`re crazy if you don`t include AirTech (Javier) in these quotes. His card says "prompt, honest & affordable". I found this to be true. Make up your own mind. For me I find other contractors outrageous.
