 + -1 moreWe asked Mary K of "Welcome Home Designs" to help us have a popcorn ceiling removed, new flooring laid and to create a new layout in our family room. In our dining room we wanted the carpet removed and a nice, new tile floor put in to match the tile in the kitchen area and then to create a oneness with the living room area connected to the dining room. Working with our contractor, Mary K kept the projects moving along and we now have a new ceiling with solar tube lighting and new fans, hardwood tile flooring in the main traffic area of the family room and a very comfortable but updated, open look. In our dining area the carpet was removed and, with Mary K's direction and design, a tile floor with a inlaid border for the table area and intricate tile lay design was put in place. It highlights the area. The living room area has been rearranged, furniture pieces removed and some new added. A nice, new flow and look. We have always been very pleased to have Mary K of "Welcome Home Design" involved in our home projects. She puts on the finishing touches, attends to details and is very accommodating at a reasonable price!

 + -1 moreMary Kay worked with us for the first time six years ago to remodel our kitchen and dining area plus update other areas in our 1968 home. She helped us to chose kitchen cabinets, appliances, wall and floor time, paint colors, wall hangings, etc etc etc. I still love the end result and she was on top of the work all of the time. We have been thankful many times that we hired her for this project (at a very reasonable hourly rate) so we ended up with a quality job. 100% "A" rating.

 + -1 moreIn February 2013, we were going to put a house on the market to be sold, and I asked Mary K to give me some suggestions on changes and paint to get it ready. She responded promptly even though it was a small job and met with me on a weekend to walk through the house. With her input, I had the house ready to list within a couple of weeks. Two months later, it was sold. Thanks, Mary K!

Description of Work: We hired Mary K to hang new window treatments in our front room. She came over with some samples and spent time helping us choose new window treatments that matched our house. She also made some recommendations on color choices to paint our living room, dining room and kitchen. Colors we never would have chosen ourselves! She also gave us input on the flooring and new carpet. Now that the whole-house is complete we are so very happy. The house, even though it is 22 years old looks very modern and classy. The colors are incredible and we just get a big smile every time we walk in now! Additionally we called upon her for a consultation on choosing the colors for the exterior of our home. She was very attentive to our input and steered us to choosing both the 4 color scheme on the outside of our house, but also helped us choose the new tile for the roof. When the painters put the wrong color on the house and I freaked out, she came up right away to look at it with us and give us guidance. (We thought that the paint applied was the color we chose, but the painters actually put on the wrong color) Mary K is a professional in the finest sense of the word and fun and friendly to work with. she gets an A+ from us!
