The original shower doors shattered so I purchased a new set at Home Depot but didn't want to mess with the removal of the old ones and installation of the new ones. I contacted Big D's and they were happy to send someone over to do it. They cleaned up the old door, removed the frame, and re-painted the wall. The new doors were installed professionally, straight and true, and within about 1 hour. The contractor was very professional, helpful, and competent. I was happy to have this (seemingly simple) job done by a professional, it certainly looks better than if I did it myself.

The job went very well. Dennis and Jode both came out to estimate the job. As soon as the tile was delivered, they got started on the work. They did a good job keeping the dust down while removing the old tile, and were great with overall cleanup. They were also very accommodating to us living in the house while the work was going on, so as not to leave us without a toilet, and getting the kitchen done as quickly as possible. The tile and grout work turned out great. We had the tile laid in a diagonal pattern, so there were lots of fancy cuts, but minimal waste. We also had some small border tiles installed in certain places, (around fireplace hearth, doorways) which looks great too! We are very satisfied with the work that was done!

Big D's comes with even bigger prices. When Dennis came to my house, he was on time and very professional. I felt very comfortable talking to him about what I needed done and he seemed very knowledgeable regarding the process. I had purchased laminate hard wood flooring and all the material needed for 3 bedrooms, living room, very small hallway and front entrance hall. The total of square feet came to 1036. Dennis looked at what I had and said everything was fine. I needed to have the tile taken up in the living room and hallways also the carpet taken out of the bedrooms. He would remove and put back the baseboards and move the furniture side to side when putting the floor down. He said that he and his crew could have it done in 2 or 3 days. I was feeling great. He then told me that his wife would email me the estimate. I already had some idea of a price but when I got the email, I was in shock, offended and just p***** off. $11,034.00 for 2 to 3 days of work, I had already purchased the material for 1036 sq ft of flooring. Really. I then emailed his wife and shared my feelings and she emailed me back and told me that is was not going to take 2 days to do but 2 weeks. Are you kidding me. Well I got another estimate today from another contractor for $2500.00 he then gave me a discount for paying cash. I gave him 50% down and I had him add another small project to the list. The project will be done in 4 days. Sorry Mr D's but $8534 difference is more than I can afford.

This was the first time that I used them. He did a good job, and was reasonably priced. It was good. The garage door is still working fine.

Took a little longer than expected, due to weather and material delays. Very professional crew. Excellent job,including cleanup after the project was complete. I would definitely recommend this company for construction or home repairs.

Excellent estimate process

We hired this company (found them in the phone book) to do a small remodel job in a house we purchased in Kingman. We lived in Seattle at the time and wanted the job completed before we moved in. The contractor went to the house to look at the job, and quoted us about $500. We wanted it to be completed (with time for the tile floors to set) before we arrived on Sept 2. They agreed to have it done. They found matching tiles in the garage of the home, so spared some expense of purchasing matching tiles. They consulted with us over the phone and via photos over email, to make sure of what we wanted before starting in. They procrastinated a bit with starting the project, and we were worried the tile floors would not be set when the movers arrived with our stuff. But the floors did get done in time. When we arrived, the wall had not yet been respackled, and Big D's contractors came the next day to complete that work. All in all, they did a very good job and did it for less $$ than quoted. Our only issue was that the wall was not completed prior to our arrival, but it was done the next day (while the movers were unloading so a bit inconvenient), and it turned out well. We would recommend this company based on our experience.
