About us

The Finishing Touch can do architectual molding, applaqays,Inlays, Onlays, 3D carvings and engravings using Wood, Non-Ferrous Metals, and Plastics. We have over 1000 pieces of 3D artwork on our internet site instantly available for your next project. Moldings or picture Frame material comes from a catalog of more than 500 styles. In either case, moldings or 3d designs, anythinng you can send a drawing picture or small sample of can be duplicated into custom artwork. Cabinet refacing is a great way to spice up your kitchen. We can replace all your kitchen or bathroom cabinet doors at a huge savings from purchasing new. Invasion of your privacy is minimal with most of the work being done at our shop. All we need are the measurements and how you would like them to look and you won't have us under foot if the cabinets are all being completely replaced. The new doors can be embellished with a standardized design carved and engraved into the doors or, you can put a different design on each door. Actually you can even change the wood and the style and nothing more and save even more. Business owners and homeowners are more and more using wooden or thick polyurethane type products for their signage. This type of sign can be outstanding compared to just a flat painted sign. 3D carving and engraving can really make your sign stand out. The material that we make some from can last years and years even in a harsh Minnesota climate. Even plaques and trophies can have custom engraving done sometimes when it's not cost effective or even possible to have what you want done a conventional way. Our equipment is very fast and accurate compared to the old school ways of producing the same sort of work. We can even do most circular or curved molding. Even if it's out of production we can reproduce it from your sample. CNC machines especially the router are revolutionizing small and large run fabrication carving and engraving. You would be amazed at the designs it will run, like a beautiful fireplace mantle. Or, the one piece or part that you may need for a restoration project.
