Mark Laos-Amado has been taking care of my 2 trees for 6 or 7 years. He is very knowledgeable about all plants and trees here in the desert. He and his family have been in the area since 1921. When Mark and his crew come to work they are professional and always are careful to inform you of what needs to be done and answer any questions you may have. They never leave the property without fully cleaning up the area first. They are polite and courteous at all times. When we had the serious freeze a few years ago I thought I had lost my huge bottle brush tree out in front. Mark pruned it and has continued to shape it - it has come back to be a beautiful tree with more red blooms on it this year then in the 18 years since it was planted. When ever I have questions or my neighbors do Mark will stop by and try to answer them and guide us in taking care of our older or new trees and plants at no charge. Mark came out after the monsoons last season to prune my evergreen xylosma tree. When it developed a strange leaf problem a few months ago Mark came right out to try to help. Between his help and the extension office we have found out the problem and are adding different nutrients. Mark continues to assist me on this. I will have him back to trim and shape it when the monsoons this season (2014) are over. I have recommended him to many neighbors and friends. His knowledge is welcomed and I depend on him to always do the right thing for the trees - NOT FOR HIS WALLET.
