Terrible. I would never use this company again and would advise everyone to stay away. It appears he will show up to do the lucrative jobs, where he can make good margin, but he is awful at communicating, has problems with honesty (I mailed the check, I'm bringing the check by, I'll be there tomorrow, I ordered the Intellicom 2 board, etc, etc), and is not knowledgeable about his craft (the Pentair Pump will work with the Hayward system),
Description of Work: I paid Chris $600 to fix my leaking water leveler in my pool in mid July 2016 and he indicated he would send someone over to fix it the following week. Chris repeated this story many times over the next few months, and five times over the next month he was a no-call, no show despite telling me he would be out to fix the leak. I've asked for a refund of my $600 and Chris has told me several times he was mailing it, but it never showed. Then he indicated he was delivering it personally, but he was a no show. Chris also installed a new LED pool light and told me I had a three year warranty, but left no paperwork or instructions on how to get my light replaced should it fail. I even paid extra to have a three year warranty instead of two. Chris also recommended I buy a Pentair pump which I did, even though I have a Hayward Goldline control system with remote control. Now I can no longer control my pool with my $500 remote. He indicated he would fix the problem by bringing me an Intellicom 2 port, which he said was on order and in which he would install for free. Months have gone by...no Intellicom 2 port and my pool only works if I walk out to the pump and turn it on. Chris also acid washed the pool, which came out nice. No complaints there.

We contacted Chris by text on about May 7th, letting him know that we were having trouble with the pool. He responded by saying that he would be out the next day. Our salt system wasn't producing chlorine for some reason. When he didn't show the next day I sent him a text asking for an update. He responded by saying he couldn't come by until the next day. The next day came and the same story. No word from him, texted him and he was too busy to come by. So day 4 after I contacted him and took water samples and my salt cell to Leslie's to have everything tested. I suspected phosphates, but it turned out that wasn't the problem. I again texted Chris letting him know the results. This was on May 10th. May 12th he did end up coming out, but I didn't realize it until he was gone. When I inquired, he let me know that he had been there and he said he was going to add a bag of salt and then do a diagnostic. Long story short the cycle of no communication from him / inquiries from me continued until May 19th when he came out again with out notifying me and then sent me a text saying that the problem was that the circuit board would need to be replaced and quoted me $680 plus shipping and service fee. Because of the high costs, we sought a 2nd opinion and called Hayworth (the manufacturer). They sent out a technician from an authorized dealer. We found out that the circuit board wasn't the problem at all. It turned out that stabilizers that should have been added to our water, when Chris replaced our salt cell late last year, were absent. I don't know if they were just never added or what the issue was. Bottom line, we started out loving Chris. Even nominated him for the page of happiness. He was friendly, seemed knowledgeable, and taught us about how to maintain our pool. Unfortunately we will not use him again in the future mainly due to his horrible lack of communication, inability to be there when he stated he would be there and the fact that we saved several hundred dollars by seeking a second opinion before taking his suggestion of replacing the circuit board.
Description of Work: Our salt system wasn't producing chlorine. Chris came out to find the problem.

When I called him on Thursday, 5th September due to our issues with the pool, he answered the call. But after the greeting I heard background noises only. Then I called right back and got the answering machine. Chris called back soon after that and I explained the issues with the pool. He said that he would come the same afternoon if his time allows, otherwise he would come the next morning for sure, but he would call me again that evening to let me know. I've waited the whole afternoon and evening and since he didn't show up nor called and since I've said that I would be here either/or, I thought he would come in the morning. But he didn't show up in the morning either. So I called him again at noon time on Friday and had to leave a message where I left my phone number again (just to make sure). But I never heard back from him since. I am happy for him that he has all these great reviews on google and the one here on Angie's list and it seems that he is very busy - which is good for him... I only would have appreciated that Chris would have respected my time as well. I would have been happy if I had the chance to give him an A as well, but instead I had to get somebody else asap where I paid 289 $ for replacing 5 port water valves and 2 O-rings (if I would have ordered the kit online it would have cost me 75 $), an easy job that was done in less than 45 minutes of another local company. and quot;Dand quot; for overall and responsiveness because Chris called back the one time mentioned above. For punctuality and professionalism it's an and quot;Fand quot; for me. Sorry.
Description of Work: I've called Chris because of this review here and checked Google as well. We had an issue with the pool cleaning system and we couldn't figure it out ourselves. Now I know it was the pop up valves that were damaged. Anyway, it took me 3 calls including 2 messages I left on Chris' phone, I've got one phone call back from Chris, waited one evening and one morning, and I've never heard back from him since. So in other words.... the provider did nothing but wasted my time.

We found Chris via Google maps and chose him because he had the best reviews in the area. The reviews from Google didn't disappoint. We had him come when we first moved in a little over a month ago. The pool was cloudy and he was able to get back where it was supposed to be. I don't remember the charge then. A couple of days ago we looked in the pool to find piles of green algae at the bottom of the pool. We, being the self-sufficient home owners we are, headed over to Leslie's Pool Supplies. He proceeded to sell us a vacuum and hose and told us how to take the filters out and clean them. We got home, looked at the pump and said and quot;uh... we'd better call Chris to show us how.and quot; We did and he came out that same day, walked us through the whole process and lent us a couple tools so we could finish the job on our own. Then he came back the next day to check on the pool to make sure everything looked good. By the time he left, we understood how to maintenance our pool. The best part? He didn't charge us anything. He insisted that he hadn't done anything and that he'll be happy to charge when he actually does something. (He did of course. He taught us and quot;to fishand quot;! Much more valuable then just getting a fish) Besides all that, Chris is friendly and easy to talk to. Call him! You'll be happy you did.
