Description of Work: The vinyl tile is beautiful in the rental apartment. It is soft to walk on, warm to bare feet and looks better than the floors in my house. Great installation, too.

We went to Kino Floors July 17, 2013 to select tile for our flooring project. Kino's is always a welcoming, warm business to visit. Cindy Fletcher is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and not at all pushy about anything. I've always enjoyed doing business with them. Working with the Fletcher's is also nice because we enjoy a very bright color palette and Cindy and Dale are never judgemental about our selections. We decided on the same tile my husband put in our hallway bath. It is a thick, heavy tile with verigations of color and pattern. We opted to have Kino's install our flooring and do all the tear out and disposal of existing materials. The tile requires the use of a professional wet saw. In doing our bathroom, our home wet saw was ruined and we just weren't up to the task of all the tear out and laydown work. Dale, Cindy's husband came to our home, a ranch style built in 1978, to take all the measurements and provide a spot on quote for the work. Fitting us in to existing tile jobs put us into August for the install. When Dale and his crew came to begin the project, Louie informed them we wanted the tile placed at a 45 degree angle, something I hadn't shared with Dale when he came to give us the quote. I also didn't think to ask about baseboards. Dale was concerned there wouldn't be enough tile to lay a 45 but was good natured about what I neglected to share with him. We had plenty of tile as it turned out. The work took about 6 days, beginning August 7 and ending August 13, 2013. Dave and Angel, the installers, were wonderful. Both are artisans. I was surprised at how little waste there was given the number of odd cuts that had to be made. These men kept a clean environment. I came home at 4:30 daily to no mess. As an aside, we have 3 very large dogs, one of whom barked almost incessently during the time Dave and Angel were working. My husband was largely unsuccessful in soothing her. She has a big bark. The men never complained and never took shortcuts to get away from Sweetie's noise. Dave and Angel redesigned the landing by our front door. It is much larger than what existed and is so attractive. I cannot say enough about their work ethic, their artisanship and their devotion to their craft. My husband is equally impressed and enjoyed their company as well. I am absolutely delighted with our new floors. Dale was distressed about having to add an additional $145.00 to the quote to cover the labor involved in cutting 45 degree angles. This also took two additional days of work. I couldn't get over how little the extra cost was. The angles of our kitchen and dining area are odd and were difficult to work with. Dave and Angel laid tile out in our studio first to get the design right before setting tile in mortar. I am so appreciative of their time, effort, skill and craftsmanship. This is the first time we've not done home improvements ourselves. After this extraordinary experience, it will not be our last. If you are looking for excellent selection in carpet, tile, and everything in between, Kino Flooring should be your first stop. Cindy and Dale are wonderful as is Michelle. They understand the ins and outs of everything they sell. If, like us, you are prone to do it yourself projects, the Fletcher's will share their knowledge and expertise. If you decide to have them install for you, you will not be disappointed. We've purchased tiles, grout and vacuums from Kino Flooring for 16 years and have never once been disappointed. Having them do the work for us was a wonderful experience. I believe it will be for anyone who chooses to use their services.
Description of Work: 1. Removed tile and carpeting in kitchen, dining area and landing. 2. Installed tile in kitchen, dining area and landing. 3. Provided the tile and grout for the 240 sq. ft. project.
