Finally, we bit the bullet and updated our bathrooms. Our old guest bathrooms had lower than normal cabinets, a cheap white countertop, a dated bathtub (with shower curtain (ewww)) , an eroding mirror and chrome and gold fixtures (yuck!). Our master bath had lower that normal cabinets, a cheap white countertop, and chrome and gold fixtures (again, yuck!). We visited Sunset Tile & Bath. Mark, assisted us in the showroom with many of the decisions that had to be made. The man is very knowledgeable about the products and options for our new bath. And a real saint for his patience with our indecision! We hammered out the demolition and start date. Time for the next step. Let's do it! Thank you Mark! It didn't take long before our bathrooms were gone. They did leave an old sink so that we had water until the new ones went in. After demolition and measurements, we waited for our countertops and glass. After receiving the cabinets and countertops, the craftsmen went at it. They removed a large Jacuzzi tub and replaced the chrome and gold faucet with brushed nickel. Then the cabinets went in and were nicely trimmed to perfection. Next the beautiful new countertops, sink and brushed nickel faucets. Last, brand new shiny mirrors rounded out the renovation. The tub in the guest bathroom was replaced with a custom shower. The water valve was placed to the side so that guests don't get blasted with cold water. They also installed a really convenient shelf. Let me say this. Most of my life I have done most of my own work. I understand the work that was being done. These guys are experts with masonry, installation of countertops, cabinets, and plumbing. All new shut off valves, everything was new and updated from the wall out. This is a crew of real professionals! I would without hesitation recommend sunset bath and tile to anyone considering renovations. I am only sorry that we waited so long to enjoy our new bathrooms.

This was a big job which took 3 weeks to complete. Everyone on the crew were very professional and did a fantastic job. We're very happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend Sunset Tile & Bath.

Sunset Tile has done several remodeling projects for me in two different homes. They are by far the best in the business. Their workmanship is superior. If any problems come up, they will resolve them. Look no further! This is the contractor for your remodeling project.

Quality work ahead of schedule. No surprises and good communication.

Overall very good. There were a few issues with workmanship, however, the owner Mark, had his crew correct said defects. When doing extensive remodeling, it will never go perfectly for any contractor (I worked in a related construction profession for 40 years and know this too be a fact). Successful companies have an owner/manager who has personal integrety and will keep their employees in the same mind set. They are somewhat on the high side as far as pricing, but this should be expected for a quality job.

Awesome. The technicians were professional AND very skilled, clearly the best tile work in my house.

Remodeling took about one month. The provider answered out questions and left the area clean.

I was very impressed with Sunset Tile and Bath. I worked closely with Audra who came out to my house to measure and provide a consultation. I then went to their showroom and Audra helped me pick out my materials. At that time she had a 3D image of my space and was able to help me envision what the upgrade would look like. This was very helpful. She was excellent at steering me away from certain items while always providing sound explanations as to why my choices may not meet my needs or were not practical. I started with my bathrooms not wanting to commit to a kitchen remodel until I saw the quality of the work. The bathrooms turned out great and I was impressed so I then contracted for my kitchen remodel. I would definitely use Sunset Tile and Bath again and would recommend them to my friends.

From our initial contact with Audra at Sunset Tile & Bath to the finished project, our experience was extremely positive. Audra was informative and knowledgeable with what our remodel intent was and offered ideas we would not have thought of. The team that worked on our project were punctual, professional, and very clean in their work. They protected the work are from dust residue as well as possible and cleaned up every day. We liked that they did not bar us from checking on the progress of the project throughout the 2 weeks they spent with us. We highly recommend Sunset Tile & Bath.

It was an average quote experience.

We purchased a home that required the bathrooms to be remodeled. We hired another contractor because we had used them before. Huge problems, months of mess and agony. They did the guest bath. Then, we found Sunset Tile! What a huge difference. They were prompt, professional. Completely remodeled our master bath. The difference in process and outcome were awesome. From the designer to the tile setters, the job was completed as promised and with NONE of the agony of the first experience with the other contractor in the guest bath. These folks do not use sub-contractors which was a big selling point for us. It turns out that they have assembled a staff that should be, but isn't, the industry standard. All great talents in their particular areas of expertise. I will have them back next year to remodel our kitchen.

The experience with Sunset was a pleasure from start to finish. The interior designer was very helpful in guiding us through the design and material selection process. The work was performed very professionally, they made every effort to minimized the disruption to our household as much as possible. The dust was minimal and the workers cleaned the area at the end of each day. The end result was outstanding, and they finished on schedule.

Very well. I had originally hired another company (Baker Bros.) because I bought my tile from them and their bid was somewhat lower. However, the Baker Bros. employees left after moving my furniture and removing the old carpeting, because they said there might be asbestos in the old tile underneath the carpet. So I had to hire another firm to remove the old tile, but when I called Baker Bros. to have them return to finish the job, I was told it would be a couple of weeks before they could come back--and in the meantime, my family room was unusable. So I called Mark from Sunset, and he was able to have his employees start the morning after the asbestos tile removal was finished. The worked ended up taking 3 days rather than the estimate of 2 days, but that was in part because Baker Bros. hadn't sold me enough tile for the job, so I had to arrange to buy more.

We developed trust and confidence in Mark Matyskiel, President, as we worked with him to define and estimate our project, and our trust was not misplaced. ?He facilitated our choices and decisions, but never tried to up-sell. ?He provided specific answers to our questions - never any vague promises. ?Throughout the project he and his crew and subcontractors exhibited honesty, accountability, openness, fairness and a commitment to customer satisfaction. ?We would absolutely choose Sunset again! All the major milestones on the project happened as expected - no big surprises - and on time. ?Everything was handled professionally and the quality of the materials and workmanship met or exceeded our overall expectations. ?It should go without saying that there were no major unexpected costs or charges: ?Our experience is that Sunset is operated with integrity. Mark honored our desire to have the work substantially completed before we moved into our newly-purchased home. ?In his effort to accelerate our project, he took on the role of project manager for our project, while maintaining his other responsibilities as Sunset's president. ?This stretched him a little bit thin, and we like to think he found it helpful to receive an email or two from us highlighting minor additions or corrections that we had agreed upon, but that had briefly fallen off his radar. ?In any case, he was always accessible, responsive and gracious. Mark also provided helpful advice on choices and decisions we faced that were outside his scope, and he performed numerous extra services for us, both with and without compensation...services that would have been difficult for us to get done otherwise. Sunset's subcontractors and other vendors were top-notch and provided the same value-driven service. ?It made sense to us that a quality company like Sunset would affiliate only with quality vendors. ?His painting sub was phenomenal!! ?The Angie's List "Dos and Don'ts" discourage us from adding here the names of these other vendors. ?Suffice it to say Mark hooked us up with someone for hardwood flooring, carpet and window coverings who played a huge role in making our home beautiful! ?We highly recommend Sunset Tile & Bath.

Everyone at Sunset Tile & Bath was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The Designer, Audra, pointed out some possible issues up front, that we hadn't considered before and that could potentially affect the design of each bathroom, which was very helpful and saved time. Sunset's showroom was impressive and had samples of almost every product conceivable to do what we wanted in each bathroom. Audra had great suggestions and guidance every step throughout the entire process, resulting in two beautiful bathrooms. Sunset's construction crew and Tony, the Superintendent, was meticulous and very thorough. The execution of Audra's renderings and detailed specifications was exceptional, under Tony's supervision. Any issues or concerns were dealt with immediately and Tony involved us in decisions whenever he could. The crew was prompt and kept the worksites as clean as they could. We can't say enough about Tony's professionalism and attention to detail. He went above and beyond on several occasions and it's obvious he takes great pride in everything he does. We would highly recommend Sunset Tile & Bath to anyone. We couldn't be happier with both bathrooms, we wouldn't change a thing. A huge Thank You for the fantastic job Sunset's great crew did for us.

It was fabulous. This was the best experience with any remodel.

They were diligent, trustworthy, and did everything according to specs. Audra Lamb was fantastic. The kitchen looks beautiful. Mark (owner) and Tony(project leader) were also great throughout the entire process. I would recommend them to anyone.

From the first contact made with Audra in the office/showroom, until completion of the work months later, we were treated with friendly courtesy, respect and consideration. Everyone showed-up when scheduled, worked hard and completed everything in a professional manner. We shopped this job with two other Angie's List contractors with high ratings, before selecting Sunset Tile & Bath. Surprisingly, the other two contractors were not reliable about appointments and promised bid timing. In addition, their bids were much, much higher than they led us to believe when they visited our home. So, it was not difficult to make Sunset our choice. As with every major remodel, there were some minor hiccups along the way. But Mark, Audra and all of the workmen were extremely responsive and everything was completed to our satisfaction and on-time. We are happy with the quality of materials and workmanship and can highly recommend Sunset Tile and Bath for a bathroom remodel and tile flooring installation. You will not be sorry, if you select this company.

From the?initial estimate to completion of the project everyone who worked in our home was professional, hard working, friendly and punctual.? Once?the work was scheduled it was completed as outlined and timely.? Mark from Sunset Tile and Bath did the?design and helped us when we selected the cabinetry, countertops, etc. In addition, he provided us with the final estimate and?came by the house while under construction.?Paul was our go-to guy from the beginning to the end while in the construction phase.?Another important detail is that they kept the work area as clean and tidy as possible, which is not an?easy thing when you are doing demo, replacing tile, installing grout, etc.?We?have already referred a new client (my doctor) and will continue to recommend them in the future.

Mark and his team were on schedule and budget with excellent quality work. This is our second remodeling job with Sunset and we continue to be pleased with their professionalism and meeting their commitments. Would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone looking to do some remodeling.

I was particular about having a proper design and needing color 3D renderings and consultation to balance my parents needs and wants. Audrey was fantastic, incredible attention to detail, knowledgeable, and capable with the software to provide renderings as well as modifications as we moved through the design process. We had to a wait a few months before the work could start but once it did everyone on the team was professional, performed quality work, and had a high attention to detail. The experience with most of the subs they used also was great, just a couple schedule issues and 1 personality clash, but our Sunset Project Manager, Kevin, was immediately responsive and worked to bring resolution every time, communicating with us every step of the way. We completely gutted our kitchen and took down a portion of the entry wall to create a more open space. The tile work was especially outstanding (they did our entry, kitchen, and living room floor). We already got an estimate to do our 2 bathrooms and hope to work with them on those projects in the future. Definitely recommend them!

A woman came out for the estimate. She was extremely experience and knowledgeable in her field. She did a thorough job and took her time to get the correct measurements. She made a few interesting suggestions on a layout for the design. I do have some tricky structural things going on in the bathroom. I thought the estimate was on the upward end, but understanding for the amount of labor that would be involved this this kind of remodel. I have not yet gone through with the project yet, however.

After four bids on the remodel. I made one last call to Sunset Tile for a bid. Mark was very professionaland really listened to what I was looking for. He took pictures and measurements and promised a quote within 5 days and he delivered. There was no high pressured sales pitch and he allowed us time to make a decision. Sunset's pricing was right in the middle of the other bids, but what won us over was the profesionalism, straight forward information and the fact that the crew worked for Sunset and was not subcontracted. The team wad excellent, they started on time and cleaned up every night - almost as if they weren't even there. Paul provided continous updates so we always knew what step they were at. They tile work was unbelieveable - Carlos is a master at laying tile! Even with a few changes that we added, such as removing baseboards and using tile to replace them, they didn't blink an eye and provided the best option without a huge cost. And they finished on time just like they promised! Mark was a great help in assisting with all the choices we had to make when in the design center. He made great suggestions on tiling and fixtures and didn't hesitate to tell us what wouldn't work together. That's a great help when you are faced with so many choices. Sunset strives to make sure you are happy with the end results. We will definitely contract with them again when we are ready to remodel our other baths! You won't go wrong hiring Sunset Tile & Bath!
