We had termite damage to our beautiful wood floor--specifically in three places. The damage was very extensive and unsightly. After having a termite treatment done, Splinters fixed our floor. The 2 men who came to do the work were VERY good--honestly, our floor looks like nothing had ever happened to it!! We highly recommend Splinters.

We had new wood floors laid throughout our home however the contractors that put them in did not clean up the glue causing us to them having to find someone to help us remove the glue in every room. We found Ron and he was truly amazing. He listened to our concerns and did as he said. He has an incredible attention to detail and made them better than we could have expected. We walked in to an immaculate house with beautiful floors.

Hard working and did a great job. My only negative was some of the venetian plaster will have to be touched up. Definitely would hire again for floor refinishing

They were very responsive on every issue. Josh was very helpful answering questions I had since this was the first time I had dealt with this repair. Ron was very good on follow up and very reliable. Everything progressed just as originally promised.

Ron and Mark, the owners of the company, came March 27th, 2023 to reseal my wood floors with polyurethane. They did not bring a vacuum or any tack paper with them. They have an ROC and said 30 years of experience so I went forward. After they were done the floors are wet and you can not walk on them to examine them. There were at least 15 missed spots, puddles, and bubbles. I called Ron, they came back April 7th to correct the errors. They still did not bring a vacuum or tack paper, but said they had tack paper this time. They use old t-shirts around a broom to clean the floors. It does not work leaving debris and pushing mud up to the wall. Which they proceeded to lock down under the polyurethane. The floors were better in areas, but some areas I had pointed out were now permanently locked under the seal. We had agreed upon $1000.00 for the two rooms. He said after it dried he would give us time to move the furniture from one room to the other and finish our house. After the job they did and the little effort put forth I decided not to move forward. Because the floors looked better at a distance I had paid them $1300.00 dollars. Since I am not going forward with them I requested the $300 back. Before I could say anything about the money, Ron hung up on me like a 5 year old. Then he did not return the call, when I called him right back, it went to voice mail Today we were texting and he is refusing to return my money, now insisting that was the amount he originally said, and it is not. They do not follow industry standards, they are not professional, and now I find out they are not even honest. I am extremely disappointed and definitely would not recommend their business to anyone. Today he asked me what industry standards, not even knowing the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) has standards I guess

Very unprofessional, ruined our floors and did not do the work they started, and had to get the floors completely redone. They said they would refund us a very small amount of money, but never did and will not return our phone calls

Ronâ s a really nice guy, someone you donâ t mind having in your home. He did what he said he was going to do, in the timeframe he said and at the price we agreed to. Great communicator, punctual, and he did a great job. Our floors look amazing.

Ron was very accommodating with scheduling an estimate and also for the actual work once engaged. I had glued down engineered flooring sanded and restained to match (as close as possible) to the woodplank look tiles. Ron and Ryan did a first-class job on the floors, kept the workspace clean, and were on budget. Highly recommend!

This owner operated business is a throw back when customer service meant something more than an advertising catch phrase. I was an out of town property purchaser wanting to rehab my newly purchased older property. After being told what couldn't be done by 2 other flooring contractors, Ron educated me as to what can be accomplished by a 30 yr. professional.......and he lived up to his word and exceeded my expectations! Again, being out of State, he guided me to flooring renewal potential and was totally transparent in scheduling and completing the job. Seeing the result confirmed his professionalism. He is the ONLY contractor, thus far, that has meet every expectation for a distant customer. You can't do better! Go here first with your hard wood flooring needs.

Ron started the job on Monday, came on time every day and finished on Thursday. His team was professional and cleaned up after themselves. He is personable, professional and friendly. He really knows his flooring. My floor was last refinished 30 years ago before this. It looks brand new!!

We had been told by several different contractors that our 20 year old engineered wood floor was beyond refinishing, and frankly, that wasnâ t hard to believe. It looked terrible, with heavy traffic areas very scratched up, and there were a couple areas where the floorboards were delaminating and disintegrating. We were researching tearing it out and going with tile, but decided to give refinishing another try. We reached out on Home Advisor and Ron contacted us within a day. He came out, gave us a very reasonable estimate (less than half of what tile would have cost), and considering his decades of experience & reviews, we gave him the job. We found our laundry room had water damage behind the wash machine that we had been unaware of. Ron was able to rebuild that area with some old original extra wood boards we had. There were a couple more areas that were so damaged that he wasnâ t able to make them as uniform as the rest of the floor color and finish. However, these arenâ t in highly visible areas & we knew they werenâ t going to be perfect. Theyâ re not obvious to anyone else entering our home . One thing he could have done better was to point out those areas when he finished so we could discuss possible solutions with him. However, when we did identify our areas of concern, he came back out and suggested some fixes that didn't risk further damaging the wood. Ron proved to be knowledgeable, true to his word, professional, and he delivered the product on time and on budget. He was sensitive to our time frame and was very considerate of our needs. We would definitely recommend him for your hardwood floor refinishing. In fact, I already did. We were amazed with the transformation when he started sanding! The finish product is a wonderful difference in color and quality! We absolutely love our new wood floors!!! He and Christian â both great guys - finished the job when promised, and our twenty year-old floor now looks fabulous!

Ron did an amazing job on our floors. Our flooring situation was a challenge due to stains left behind from the previous homeowners. Ron was able to remedy all issues, and we were left behind with absolutely gorgeous refinished floors!!!
