we purchases a Kitchenaid dishwasher and had to have it serviced while still under warranty. We were instructed to us Goldwing appliance factory service. The service has been the worse I have ever experienced. We have documented every call we made. They never return calls and many times don't answer the phone. Its been two months. I will no longer purchase my appliances from Spencers since they cannot take care of the customer when there is a problem.

Everything went well. The salesman was cordial and well informed and walked us through the different models and styles pointing features of each and explaining the differences. Delivery was next day. Installation was performed by a company they use and the installer was friendly and did a nice job. The old dishwasher was removed and taken away. The installer also answered some questions we had about the installation of a replacement refrigerator that will needa little extra work. A good buying experience and we will return when we replace the refirgerator (which will be soon).
Description of Work: We purchased a dishwasher from them and had it deleivered and installed.

Salesman, Brad, was very pleasant and professional as he made the sale, which went easily and quickly. Brad tried to sell us the store's $30 deliver-and-install package, but when we said we'd prefer to pick the range up at the store, he assured us that our new stove would be brought to the store from Spencers warehouse by a certain day and time, and would be ready for pickup any time after that. We paid in full by credit card, and the sale was completed amicably in a total of about 30 minutes. Good experience. From then on, however, our experience was very poor. On the day promised, we discovered that our range had not been moved from the warehouse to the store, so was not available to us at all. The best the store could offer was to have our stove delivered to our house the following day - that same deal we'd refused when Brad had offered it to us. The store said it would waive the delivery fee, but then told us we would have to purchase an extra part (something Brad had not mentioned at the time of sale) - a part that cost us nearly as much as the deliver-and-install package that we'd refused. To us, this felt very much like a bait-and-switch game, which added to our annoyance at having no new stove on the day promised. Since Brad was off work that day, we had to work with someone named Adam, someone who was far less professional than Brad. Adam seems to lack all good customer service and complaint resolution skills - he was flippant and dismissive, then argumentative, disagreeable, self-righteous, even scolding, as I tried to find out why Spencers had failed to perform as promised and, more important, when I could count on having my new range delivered. Even though I was the inconvenienced customer, the and quot;injured party,and quot; Adam's tactics were to fault me, to chide me, and to put me on the defensive. Totally unsatisfactory. When our new range was finally delivered, we learned that we were not dealing with Spencers any longer at all, but with a delivery-and setup service. That service person was competent and professional, once he arrived - which was just barely within the time window he had promised. Having learned that we cannot depend on Spencers to do what they say they will do after the sale, and having been treated badly by a member of their staff at the Arrowhead store, we will not take our future business to Spencers.
Description of Work: Sold me a kitchen range. Failed to have my purchase ready for pickup as promised. Added an extra charge after the deal was sealed.

I let John Price know that I'd gotten two quotes on what I wanted. He showed me what they had, gave me a quote, and after comparing everything, I realized that their estimate (including delivery) is even cheaper than the other two quotes I got. He even emailed me to thank me for coming in. I gave him a down payment, and they delivered the appliances on the scheduled day. They were just AWESOME!
Description of Work: They delivered a brand new stove, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge that I purchased from them.

They were clean, fast, on-time and there were no problems. They removed the old appliances for me and installed the new ones. The only thing I'm still waiting on is a $75 rebate to arrive in the mail.

THE FREEZER WENT BAD AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. I HAD A CRACK IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FRIDGE. THEY WOULDN'T WORK WITH ME OR FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY WERE VERY IMPOLITE IN RESPONSE. THE FREEZER WAS UNDER WARRANTY.

Good prices, but they do not outweigh the HORRIBLE customer service particularly with delivery and installation. We should have purchased all of our appliances at The Maytag Store (we only purchased our refrigerator there due to prices). Ed Rodrigez changed his story so many times, it was hard to keep up with. Kevin K. should not be talking to customers as he does not realize customers pay his salary. Store manager was very condescending, offered minimal help. This was a very good lesson that purchasing from the lowest price retailer does not always save you money. We went without a range and dishwasher for over a week. Will never purchase or recommend Spencer's again.
Description of Work: Purchased a Jenn Air slide-in range, Fridgidaire microwave and dishwasher. Requested delivery and installation at time of purchase. Was told by sales person that was standard with delivery. When delivery occurred, the driver left the unopened boxes in our living room stating it was not his job to deliver boxes to the kitchen, open, install, etc. We called 3 times a day for 6 days before getting help. The store manager (Roger Leech) and his employees (Ed Rodriguez and Kevin K.) had no customer service whatsoever, after the sale of course. They actually blamed me for misunderstanding their installation procedures that were clearly outlined in the contract. Finally, after we sent 2 separate letters threatening legal action to uphold their end of the contract, we started receiving some help with our problem.
