The lead mover was very professional, and took great care with our belongings. The other 2, less so. We were constantly having to ask them to be careful with the boxes marked Fragile. Even with the constant monitoring, we still had several items break, and our washer/dryer and doorways were very scratched up (they were 2 months old).
One of the movers was only on his 2nd weekend on the job, and was unused to the AZ heat. He was constantly having to take extended breaks to cool down. At one point he stumbled and knocked over a bookcase, damaging it.
At the new home they ran a furniture dolly into the wall trying to move our latex mattress, creating a large gouge. We'd offered to break it down into pieces due to the weight but they were adamant it would be easier to move in one go on the dolly.
Before the move we were advised they only accepted cashier's check or money order, so would need to over-pay (they weren't willing to wait for me to run to a local convenience store). The gentleman that scheduled the move (i'm assuming the owner) and the lead mover assured us it usually only took a couple weeks to process the refund and that damage claims took a couple months to process due to the insurance claim process.
It ended up taking them three months to refund us because they "lost" our paperwork several times. They told us that the shelf they damaged wasn't covered because it wasn't solid wood, even though it was damaged before actually moving due to carelessness. And they simply stopped responding to calls and emails regarding the claim for the damage to the wall. They did not respond at all to a BBB complaint.
tl;dr, Do Not Use Legacy Moving. They have an F on BBB for a reason.
