Cutting Edge Curbing Sand & Rock

NEVER AGAIN Suppose to call at least thirty minutes in advance of delivery! Driver tells his boss that he called me multiple times and I never answered, so he just dumped the load in the street. Over a four-minute window, the driver did call five times, and the fifth time left a message, and then dumped the load. Note that I'm in the house on a phone call, and all of this happened in a matter of five minutes. I return the call to the driver within 12 minutes of his voicemail only to find out that he dumped the load in the street and nowhere near the spot it was to be dumped. It will now cost me another $400 to move the $500 worth of gravel that this idiot driver did not follow protocol. Pictures attached of the four calls, and the voicemail from the driver. My return call was at 12:05 pm which the driver didn't answer, and I called again a minute later only to find out he had already dumped and was on the freeway home. ALL IN TWELVE MINUTES START TO FINISH. NO THIRTY-MINUTE ADVANCE CALL OR CALL WHEN LEAVING THE YARD.

They don’t do small jobs

Do not allow this company to do your curbing! I have never been annoyed or frustrated enough to actually take the time to write a review online so I'd at least consider my words of advice. We just bought our first house and are doing the backyard from scratch so we decided to spend some extra money to make it look extra nice with some concrete curbing. We have needed them to come back 4 times now since the initial install to fix their work. For whatever reason they seem to feel inconvenienced that I want their product to look good in my yard. If they would have touched it up properly the first time instead of this lazy patch up there would have been no problems and they would have a happy customer with several referrals. The first few pictures are their initial patch job around some problem areas that they came back for. When we called them to come back yet again they fixed some but left others untended to and piles of extra concrete around the border where they did fix them. Part of the curb looks nice, but the rest of these eyesores ruin it for me and my family. Please learn from my mistakes and find somewhere else to get your custom curbing installed. Edit: Won't let me upload pictures for negative review I guess but trust me you'd be embarrassed to show others and very upset with how it looks.

Cutting Edge has come to my house twice, once to curb the front yard and recently to add curning to my back yard. My curbing looks awesome! I prepped my back yard with lines and little trenches and I thought it was perfect - then these guys stepped in and I can't believe how flawed my original lines were! Their lines were *perfect* and they integrated all the boulders (front and back) into the curbing so seamlessly. They're like artists. I can't say enough good things....

We liked their price, and the job was quick; it did not take long as you might think. They put the curbing where we wanted it, and it was the exact shape we had ordered. The negative aspect is that it was supposed to be colored curbing. We had chosen our color, and the process is that they pour a powdered pigment into the concrete, then mix it in. It was not well mixed. Even our general contractor, which had subbed out the curbing job to this company, told me that it looked as if they did not use enough of the pigment or mix it well enough into the concrete. Once it dried, the curbing color was really spotty and was not consistent. There were a lot of discolorations. One side of the backyard was darker than another. The lighter side was so faded that it didn't look like colored concrete at all. Curing did not resolve the discoloration. Even though curbing is pretty inexpensive to begin with (at $2.50/linear foot), my contractor actually took $100 off of the final price because we chose to remedy the situation ourselves by painting the curb. (Easy...one gallon of exterior stucco/masonry paint from Home Depot and two hours on a weekend.)The only way the curbing company can remedy is to come in, tear out the curbing sections, and redo the discolored sections. We told them that we did not want them to do that as they would need to replace 30 sections of curbing. We just wanted to paint to insure color consistency. Now, it looks great!

The end product was amazing. The curb was straight and beautiful. I had some issues with my project that was of no fault of Cutting Edge Curb Company. The area that needed curb was not properly prepared and Cutting Edge had to come back once I made the ground flat and level and was completely prepared for curb. The only minor issue was a slight lack of communication, since I was in Seattle at the time they did the job, I normally communicate using e-mail. I could have addressed some details and avoided a minor issue that Cindy corrected in a very prompt and professional manner which speaks volumes on how they want to make sure the customer is happy. My minor issue had nothing to do with the quality of their work. Overall this part of my project was completed very well and I would not hesitate to use them again. I though the price was very good and the crew (I met the first time they were at my property) was very professional and right on time. My only regret is that I wish I could have been present while they did the job the second time they came to do the work. My my schedule would not allow for that. Great Work Cutting Edge!

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME.

THEY HELPED OUT ON A VERY DIFFICULT JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME, AND RETURNED EVERYDAY.

WE FOUND THEM IN AND AD RECEIVED IN THE MAIL. I CALLED SEVERAL COMPANIES AND THEY CAME OUT TO PROVIDE A FREE ESTIMATE. THE FIRST TIME I WAS HOME WHEN THEY CAME. THE WORK WAS VERY GOOD. THE SECOND TIME,I CALCULATED THE LF AND LEFT THEM A CHECK BECAUSE I WAS NOT GOING TO BE HOME. I WAS SHORT IN MY CALCULATIONS. THEY COMPLETED THE WORK ANYWAY AND LEFT AN INVOICE FOR THE BALANCE. WE SENT THEM A CHECK IN THE MAIL. I THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT THAT THEY CONTINUED ON EVEN THOUGH I WAS SHORT. THEY DO VERY NICE WORK, AND THEY SHOW UP ON TIME.
