Went very well. Brian stuck to his estimate regardless if the work was more than what he originally estimated. That's good business that he adheres to his quotes and doesn't play games. I watched them during the whole process and was very pleased with the quality of their work. One of the more senior roofers even re-did some of the tile work on the end because he didn't like how the junior guy did it, that was all without me saying anything.

I got three bids on the roofing and spoke to each person. I picked Bryan because of his high rating on Angies list, his bid was in the middle, and he was easy to talk to. He explained everything that had to be done and when it needed to take place. When the time came to put on the roof, he and his crew showed up as promised. They stayed on our lot in Bryan's trailor. At the end of the week the job was done. We found out that the cabin is out of square so it was even more difficult to put on the roof. It looks great and whatever he did, it does not look out of square. I highly recommend Bryan.
Description of Work: We are building a new cabin in the Prescott area. This is a very difficult site, very steep and located at a 7100-foot elevation. The cabin was framed and the roof was framed at the time Bryan installed the metal roof. He helped me choose the the type of roof and answered all my questions. My husband said to add that he cleaned up the work site to his satisfaction. Bryan is very easy to work with and he did an excellent job.

The estimate was very fair and the work was completed as promised. Since the roof work was done, I have had Buck Mountain Roofing prepare another area of my roof for the installation of solar water heating. Again, Brian was quick to respond with a fair price. This has been a very dry summer so the roof has not been tested with any torrential rains but I am pleased with the quality of the work and confident with the roofer. My thanks to all for your customer service.
Description of Work: I asked Brian for an estimate to replace entire roof on my 18-year old home and was pleasantly surprised when he informed me that I did not need an entire roof and simply needed repairs to certain areas.

Contractor arrived as scheduled for inspectin, e-mailed estimate next day, and offered a competitive price and the best warranty and materials of the 7 estimates received. An additional 5% discount was given for being an Angie's List member. Work was started within days of contract signing, and completed in 5 days. Very pleased with the results.

These guys were very good and were consistent with their service. No matter how much I called because of another leak, they came out and redid it until we stopped having leaks. They were always top-notched when it came to professionalism and service. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again.

He was very pleasant to deal with. They were on time every morning as promised. They gave me a quote and gave me a bit of a deal where if I could move up the work I would get a discount, which was nice. I am very happy with the finished product which is the thirty year laminate shingles. UPDATE: My living room ceiling cracked where two pieces of drywall were nailed to the joist. According to my drywall repairman, this was probably caused by the workmen dropping the bundles of shingles on the roof. This happened during the whole job even though I complained to Brian. Also, the nails used for the job were too long. The nails stick through the plywood in the attic 3/4", splintering some of the plywood. Also, the nails have come through under the eaves 1/4", also slitting the paint and wood.
Description of Work: I had the whole roof replaced on our 1500 sq/ft house, and a solar powered attic vent installed.

I got an estimate from Buck Mtn and two other roofing contractors for a complete re-roof. Buck Mtn's estimate was $1000 higher than the other two. One contractor offered 30 yr shingles instead of 20 yr, it was still $500 less than Buck Mt. Just wanted to post this info to let people know to shop around.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of Mr. Yoder and Buck Mountain Roofing in general. I live out of Phoenix and learned that I had a serious concern related to my flat roof as it was starting to lift up and starting to form some puddle areas which were beginning to weaken. I received a quotation from Mr. Yoder based on his review of the roof. The actual work ended up costing more, but it was due to valid issues with the quality of my previous roof and some additional work that needed to take place. The issues were well communicated to me promptly and I had the opportunity to decide and respond. I felt like Mr. Yoder made great efforts to keep the price reasonable and perform high quality work without cutting any corners. I had comfort that the job was being done correctly and would last a long time. His team was professional, timely, communicative, responsive, thorough and did a nice job cleaning up after the job was done. I would recommend Buck Mountain Roofing to others.
Description of Work: I had a complete flat roof replaced on my home and had it rebuilt and sloped to avoid puddling in the future. I also have a partial tile roof, and the company replaced some missing and broken tiles where necessary.

Brian made a very thorough inspection and explained in detail everything he found. He very patiently answered all our questions. He sent the quote within two days as promised. We also got quotes from three other roofers, but felt most comfortable with Brian and gave him the job. He started on schedule and kept in excellent communication with us. The job went very well and we are pleased with his performance, including some minor fix-ups that were handled promptly.
Description of Work: Installed a new roof, using existing tile although approximately 50 broken tiles had to be replaced, on our 12 year old 2500 square foot house.

I called Brian and arranged a time for an estimate. Normally, they have a fixed rate for repairs of a certain number of tiles, but I asked for an on-site estimate as I had some concern about other tiles.. Brian came out and met with me and confirmed that only the broken tiles needed repair. Since the issue was only cosmetic, we scheduled for a few weeks out. I received a call the day before the install. The installer was on-time. I was pleased with the installer's professionalism. The repair looks perfect.

I got three written bids and Buck Mtn was in the middle. The additional charges above the low bid were, in my opinion, worth it since Buck Mtn proposed 30 year shinges and the low bidder provided 20 year shingles. Because of work load it took 6 weeks to schedule the crew. The crew was polite and made sure that the area was cleaned of all debris which was hauled off at the end of the job.
Description of Work: Buck Mtn tore off an existing roof down to the deck, replaced some damaged decking and a fascia board, installed a vapor barrier then reshingled the roof w/Owens Corning 30 year shingles. Additional work included replacing existing turbines with newer vents, added some additional vents, sealed off all penetrations and painted all pipes.

I got three estimates including Brian's for the work to be done. I did not agree with what the other two companies proposed to fix the deck. One of the other roofing companies suggested that I simply sheet over the water damaged deck. I completely agreed with Brian's proposal of how to fix the deck. Brian worked quickly and kept me informed of where he was in the process of fixing and installing the new deck coating. After the work was done I noticed that the railing wasn't properly sealed where it attaches to the deck. Brian had a roofer out the next day that fixed the problem to my complete satisfaction.
Description of Work: Brian replaced water damaged decking plywood, supports, trim and installed a poly coat surface on our walk out balcony. Brian removed the balcony railing and carefully place it aside so that it would not get damaged. He then cut out the damaged plywood, stringers and trim and replaced with new material. He then put down a new poly deck coating that required him to return 3 times to allow each step of the poly coat to dry properly. He then replaced the railing and fixed stucco damage caused during the procedure.

I was very patient in getting quotations for the work on my home. I contacted 6 different roofing companies and in the process of the estimates and interviews I learned from every one. Buck Mountain seemed responsive to the requirements I had. I wanted valley metal, 40 year shingles, 2" drip edge, and a few others. From the very start I had stressed how important a QUALITY job was for me. This was something I would be living with for years to come. I mentioned QUALITY over and over again. I mentioned that quality was more important than price. Buck Mountain was not the low bid but they are very good talkers. My roof was done several months ago and I have had some time to evaluate and inspect the job that was done. My dormer vents were supposed to be replaced. Only 4 were installed when I originally had 5. Exposed staples. Broken roof decking. My rating is AVERAGE. Brian did take care of some other concerns like nails through the overhang. I just don't want them on the roof any more.

I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS JOB EITHER. I DID APOLOGIZE AND AGAIN TO APOLOGIZE FOR THIS COMPLETE RE-ROOF. THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IN THIS COMMENT WAS THAT I PERSONALLY TRIED TO FIX THE ITEMS LISTED ABOVE. THE MEMBER WAS UPSET AND DID NOT WANT ME TO REPAIR ANYMORE ITEMS. AGAIN, I AM SORRY AND WOULD STILL GO BACK TO REPAIR IF ALLOWED. I WANT EVERY CUSTOMER TO BE COMPLETELY SATISFIED, EVEN IT TAKES GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND THE ESTIMATE!

Brian arrived later than I had expected, so he was here when another roofer that I had contacted for an estimate arrived. Brian was condescending toward the other company even though they came highly recommended by an Internet company and they have been roofing contractors for over 30 years. Brian's estimate was higher - by a lot - than either of the other estimates that I received, even though his estimate was less detailed and comprehensive than the contractor I retained (another roofing company, an Angie's list award winner; I'll review them when the work is complete).
Description of Work: Brian estimated the job. He estimated the repairs necessary to repair the rotting roof deck as well as replace the water barrier on the roof and replace the tiles. Brian also suggested that the hips and ridge of the roof be covered in Solite, even though there was no evidence of problems and I had not requested that information prior to Brian's arrival.

THOUGH THE "CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS SUPPOSED TO RIGHT, IN THIS CASE IS NOT. HE IS CORRECT IN THE FACT WE WERE NOT ON TIME, THOUGH WE WERE 45 MINUTES EARLY IN OUR ESTIMATE WINDOW. IT IS OUR GOAL TO EXPLAIN FULLY EVERY ROOFS CONDITION, BEING IN THE REQUEST OR NOT. ALSO, IF WE MENTION QUALITY OF ANOTHER COMPANY (WHICH ISN'T OFTEN) IT IS BECAUSE WE HAVE SEEN THEIR PRIOR WORK FIRST HAND FAIL. MOST OF ALL, I (BRIAN, THE OWNER) WANT MYSELF AND MY EMPLOYEE'S TO BE HONEST!

As I have already stated, Brian was extremely helpful from his quick response to my first call to all the questions right to the end. It was a smooth operation from start to finish.
Description of Work: Brian and his crew showed up and got right to work stripping the entire roof. Brian himself installed the new Energy saver skylight and cut the holes for the needed roof vents. The job was supposed to take a day and a half, but the crew had the job done by that evening. The crew was very polite and careful as well as very proficient in their work. They didn't get in a hurry at the end of the day and cleaned up was excellent. The added touch was when I saw one of the roofers painting all the stand pipes, vents and trim. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a really fair and honest roofing company to do their home or business. Brian was very helpful from start to finish in advice to pricing. We are very happy with the job. Their warranty over the manufactures is a BIG plus also.

Company owner Brian and employee Jeremy arrived at my home at the scheduled time to review the job. The estimate was e-mailed to me the next day as promised. I compared Buck Mtn's bid with 6 others already received. They were a little more expensive than others, but in some ways, I was getting more for my money. Brian was the only contractor who recommended removing two courses of existing shingles to ensure proper tie-in with the remaining roof; he proposed 2" of foam (vs 1"); and his bid came with a 10-year leak and manufacturer's warranty (vs 5 years). Only one complaint: the estimate could have been more detailed. The warranty, foam coverage, etc were detailed up front, but replacing the drip edge and wood shingle molding weren't. I had to ask to make sure. Also I was told I got the Angie's List discount, but it was never quantified on the invoices. The job was performed as planned in 2 days. Jeremy returned a third day to make sure a missed spot had been coated properly.
Description of Work: Removed approx 108 sq ft of existing foam roof and replaced with 2" of new polyurethane foam and acrylic top coating.

We had leaks in the tile roof, all the felt had deteriorated. One of the big problems was that the same tile was no longer available. Brian checked many distributors in the area and found a close match, which they installed on all the trim, the only difference in the tile was a slight color difference and the new tile had a shine. They also repaired the facia, which was rotted, installed bird stop, and metal trim. We thought they did a great job and were also very professional. We would definitely recommend this company without a doubt.

I was under pressure from my insurance company which had threatened to cancel my insurance if I did not have a new roof. I called several companies to explain the situation and find out if they could provide me with an estimate in time to satisfy the insurance without dropping me. Buck Mountain was not only the first to give me an estimate, but also the most reasonably priced as well. Several did not call back at all or could not provide a written estimate in time for the insurance company to keep my policy in force. Brian (the owner) also helped think of ways to work within my budget as well and all the work was done professionally and in the time frame promised. Everyone says the roof looks great!
