Our Frigidaire stopped working due to a electronic control board issue with error codes "SY CF". Upon calling the extended warranty department at Frigidaire they stated to call their service contractor Appliance Express. Upon contacting Appliance Express I was put on hold several times for extended periods and never got to speak with anyone. The last call rolled into a "we are closed" voice mail. I called again the next morning and the gentlemen who answered the phone was unprofessional. He became upset because I called several times and stated to me "call Frigidaire and tell them I am refusing your work order due to personality conflict" and hung up. Frigidaire could not find another contracted service vendor to come out for another 3 days.
Description of Work: The provider was contracted by Frigidaire to perform extended warranty repairs. The provider failed to perform the services because as a customer I complained to Frigidaire about Appliance Express responsiveness.

Appliance Express TECHNICIAN was the THIRD technician, from three different companies, in-a-row to come to the house to fix the temp problem and did it! The FRIGIDAIRE FRIDGE 26' model SXS just could-not keep the temp in the fridge within a set range. Complete annual maintenance is performed by myself on the cooling fins, fan and compressor area under and in back of the fridge so I was positive that the problem could not be in that area (except for the lack of 'freon'.) The first technician I called was the man that got my Propane clothes dryer switched to NAT GAS when we moved into this new home. He came to the house & replaced the electric motor unit that allows super cold air from the freezer into the fridge section. This I paid for myself. This did-not-work. He told me when he arrived that he did not know of this FRIDGE type when he started, but was sure he could find out what was wrong. When I called prior to 4 July weekend; he was the ONLY-ONE-THAT-ANSWERED-THE-PHONE in the entire Phoenix Metro Area. I then called ELECTROLUX and found out I could get a two warranty for 1/4 the cost of the FRIDGE; but the fridge would get fixed or replaced by ELECTROLUX so I purchased the Warranty. 866-386-5286 The total BOZO that came to our house, sent by ELECTROLUX, on the second call looked the entire FRIDGE over from top to bottom and front to back and inside at the cooling coils & fans & defrosting heaters. He concluded that everything was fine and that all we needed to do was rearrange the food in both sides of the fridge to allow better air flow. I almost fell down it was such a stupid statement, We have been using the FRIDGE for over two years and have not had a single problem with it; but this BOZO is now saying it was how we put food in the FRIDGE! He got his 'warranty service # from ELECTROLUX, to get paid for his bad job and left. AND THEN ON 31 JULY 2015 WE HAD THE BEST TECHNICIAN IN THE PHOENIX METRO AREA (LEE) FROM APPLIANCE EXPRESS COME TO OUR HOUSE. Technician LEE looked the entire unit over, made a call to verify the problem he found, got the parts that day, replaced the bad parts and GOT OUR FRIDGE WORKING PERFECT WITHIN 3 HOURS, TOTAL. I would recommend Technician LEE from Appliance Express for ANY job he had knowledge about. Technician LEE from Appliance Express, 5850 W Market Street, Glendale AZ 85301 (623) 247-2031 Thanks to Appliance Express and technician LEE for the superior job, I almost hope that something I own breaks; just to see the magic act of technician LEE.
Description of Work: Warranty item, no cost. LEE, of Appliance Express, fixed the temp problem on my FRIGIDAIRE FRIDGE.

I called and they were able to come out the next day. The day before Thanksgiving even! He was able to show me exactly what happened to the old one, replace it with the new one and was very very friendly, fast and efficient. I was worried about the cost but they were able to give me an accurate estimate over the phone. very very pleased, they did a great job! Edit: 2 hours later the ice maker was still not dropping ice. I called them and they thought it could have been the optical sensor that was also bad. He told me over the phone how to test the optical sensor which I did. He was correct, it was not working. Now here's where I'm irritated. The entire reason we called them and asked them to come out was because we needed the ice maker working for Thanksgiving. The tech should have taken the 10 seconds to test the optical sensor but did not. By the time we called them, they said they would not be able to come back over to take a look until 6 days later. 6 days! Finally they come back out and take a look and now they're saying I need to pay $125 for the optical sensor and an additional $25 in labor. Now mind you, I've had 6 days to stew about this. In these past 6 days I've looked up a bunch of youtube videos and this is literally a 10 minute job that can be done with an off the shelf screw driver and a $30 5 star reviewed part from Amazon. I'm a little sore that after paying $222 for them to do a job that they're wanting to make even more profit after not catching their first mistake. I understand that these guys are skilled workers and I'm taking a risk doing this myself but I work on electronics for a living and based on the videos, it looks like an easy job. Keep in mind, I'm not trying to get something for free here. I understand that workers and companies need to make money, but trying to profit off of their mistake is not good business. In all fairness when I told the guy on the phone my feelings about this and let him know I can get a generic part for $30 or the whirlpool official part for $70, he finally offered to let me order it online and he'll come out himself and install it for me. For an additional $25. Honestly, not everyone gets it right the first time, but when you pay for convenience you expect it to be done right. And if it's NOT done right, AT THE VERY LEAST make good on the deal instead of trying to make more money. The guy on the phone admitted it's a REALLY easy install and I should have no problem doing it myself. So I guess I'll just do that. I'm not going to pay an extra $150 to fix something that should have been caught the first time. All of the above said, they were very fast getting out to my house and the tech was friendly. I don't really appreciate that they charged me full price for a non-whirlpool (OEM) official Ice Maker but I was willing to look past that based on they were saving my butt for Thanksgiving. But that didn't really work out.
Description of Work: Was supposed to replace the ice maker in our whirpool fridge/freezer. At first we thought they did a great job however after waiting 2 hours it still wasn't dropping ice. They wanted to charge me an additional $150 to come back out 6 days later to fix it. Not good customer service at all.

I called several repair companies on the day after the 4th of July; most said Monday would be the first they could help. Called Appliance Express/We-Rent and talked to BJ. She asked about what the ice maker was and was not doing. She said a serviceman would call in about an hour. 55 minutes later Lee called and said he was about 10 minutes away. He arrived and looked at the ice maker and said and quot;the coating was worn offand quot; and took off the cover to show me and sure enough it was!!! We have whirlpool and he said he did not have that model with but would be back in an hour to replace it. He said he will call before he returns. 50 minutes later he called and is on his way back new ice maker. He took the old one out, changed a part from it to the new one and had it back together in onlt18 minutes. Both BJ and Lee were very businesslike, professional and really knew that they were doing.. I will call Appliance Express/We rent if need again. The service charge was very, very reasonable. The price of the new ice maker they charged was much less then the price quoted by the other companies. VERY VERY PLEASED with service I received.
Description of Work: replaced in door ice maker that was not making ice.

The tenant contacted us to report a problem with the washing machine. We looked at Angies list and chose Appliance Express to do the repairs. We were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to do business with them especially over the telephone. We set up an appoinment which was met on time. Technician was very punctual and thorough. The problem was repaired with no additional parts needed or cost.
Description of Work: The washing machine was not spinning properly and the water was being retained in the tub. The technician determined the problem and repaired it. No additional parts were needed. It saved us the cost of replacing the machine. The washer was located in a rental property. We had our reservations not being able to be there and observe what had to be done but we were assured by the tenant that the technician was professional in every way. We will be calling them again if needed. It was a pleasure working with them.

Called and said I had an oven that won't heat and a burner that only heat on high. Repairman came out the next afternoon. I told him I had replaced the element in the top oven but still didn't work. He checked and I had lost a wire inside so wouldn't work. He corrected it. The burner worked on all but warm. He didn't think he could get a new control as my stove is 42 years old. I told him not to bother as long as the other settings were okey. He was very friendly and informed me of many things to look for and what they did. I would surely call them again.

This was part of a home warranty.
Description of Work: They were called because of a water leak from the refrigerator. They came two times and caused the refrigerator to break down twice, causing me to lose a refrigerator full of food twice. The second time, they made the compressor go out by reversing the wires. The first time they were to come, they did not show up after my having waited several hours for them to come. When I complained, I was yelled at twice over the phone by two different people. One of the workers broke my trash can and when I reported that, I was called a liar. My experience with this company was a nightmare.

They diagnosed my problem and were very honest about the cost. They were on time!!
Description of Work: My washing machine motor is going out. I thought maybe it was just the pump. They suggested since it is so old not to repair it as it would be too costly. I'm using the washer until it croaks; it works fine until it overheats, usually after about 2 loads.

THE REPAIRMAN WAS COURTEOUS AND A SKILLED PROFESSIONAL. THEY ARRIVED AT THE TIME THEY SAID THEY WOULD. HE DID PERFORM A VERY PROFESSIONAL TROUBLESHOOTING. HE ARRANGED FOR US TO BE ABLE TO STILL USE THE ATTACHED MICROWAVE UNIT UNTIL THE NEW PART ARRIVED. HE CLEANED UP ALL DEBRIS. HE WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY.
Description of Work: OUR OVEN STOPPED WORKING AND WAS MAKING A LOUD CHIRPING SOUND. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE CHIRPING WAS TOO TURN OFF POWER AT THE CIRCUIT CONTROL BOX. THE TECHNICIAN ARRIVED AND TROUBLESHOT THE OVEN. HE FOUND THE PROBLEM TO BE A TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSIDE THE OVEN. HE ORDERED THE PART. THEY REPLACED THE SENSOR WHEN IT ARRIVED AND THE OVEN NOW WORKS GOOD.
