A phone order was placed to have a load of gravel dumped in the back yard. The driver dumped the load in the street. I spoke with Ben, a manager, and stated that the order was to dump in the yard and he needs to have someone bring a bobcat to move the gravel into the yard. Ben stated the drivers are instructed to only call the customer once, when they leave the yard. The driver called, no one answered and he left a message. When the driver arrived, he did not try to call or get out of the truck to knock on the door. He just dumped the load in the street. Ben then said the order did not say anything about dumping the load in the yard and if it did, the driver is required to (get out of the truck and) get a signed permission from the owner. The gate to the yard could not be left open because of the pool. After a few more comments back and forth, Ben said too bad, we're not doing anything and hung up the phone. We now have twice as much work to move the gravel! Louis Rodriguez from All Rock Supply requested I send an email “so we can make improvements”. After no reply from them for 13 days I sent an followup email. The email reply from Louis Rodriguez stated (... “We apologize additional steps were not taken ... we will correct this issue internally ... appreciate your feed back.”.
