They are the oldest plant nursery in the Phoenix Valley. I have gone to them and have received very excellent advice. They have recommended people for help with my fruit trees, pruning and garden advice. They are down here in the valley. There are 200 types of landscapers here. I picked the oldest company here, which is Whitfill. They have recommended other companies to help with my landscaping. I usually go out there three or four times a year. I call them often. They are good with helping my garden I am trying to plant. They know which plants work best here. You have to be careful what plants you plant here. You need guidance when you plant in the desert area. I get that with them. With them you figure out what you need and what you can afford. They work with you and add more plants as you can afford it. They started in the 1950's and they are still around. They wouldn't be in this area if they only catered to luxury homes. They work with what people in the area can afford. They have been a great help in the advisory area. Their prices are extremely competitive. They have always been very helpful.

I bought and they planted several trees and cacti for me

After loosing over a 100 plants last summer due to lack of water. We contacted Whitfill Nursery and worked with Joy Neumann the landscape designer to replace our plants. Joy was great to work with and provided us with many ideas. She showed us plants that would work best in our yard and drew up plans for where the plants would be planted. On the final plans she labeled all the plants and which ones would need to be covered in case of frost. The crew and Joy arrived on time and spent most of the day planting the new plants and adjusting the drip system. Joy stayed with the job and made sure all the plants where planted where she wanted and adjusted a few so they would look better. They also set some Moss rock flagstone that Joy had picked out that looks great. . At the end of the job she coached us on the plants and the watering schedule. Joy is a professional and knows her plants I would definitely use this Nursery and Joy again.

Since 2005 Whitfill has planted 9 trees in our yard. The planting crew are wonderful, hard-working guys. Have become friends with the Crew Leader Saul and look for him or Gabriel whenever we have questions or need planting ideas. I have called from home several times to ask about frost problems or leaf discoloration on my Lemon trees. I trust them entirely and know they will not sell me something that won't prosper in a particular time of year. I always buy my flowering plants and soil from them since I know the quality is the best. I really like the whole bunch. I especially like the chickens wandering around, it gives a real farm feeling. You'll like them also.

THEY DO NOT REALLY CUT YOU A DEAL IF THE HOLE IS ALREADY DUG (WE HAD OUR ORIGINAL LANDSCAPERS DIG THE HOLE and WANTED TO HAVE CITRUS TREES PLANTED CLOSER TO THE OCTOBER/NOVEMBER TIME FRAME, AS WE WERE TOLD THIS WAS THE BEST TIME TO HAVE THEM PLANTED).

THERE WAS A PLANTING FEE FOR ALL OF THESE ITEMS, AS WELL AS AN ADDITIONAL FEE FOR DOUBLE STAKING THE TWO NEW TREES. THE TREES AND BUSHES APPEAR TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION, AS DO THE BUSHES AND THE PLANTS. THEY CAME OUT AS PROMISED, AND PLANTED THE ITEMS WHERE WE HAD INDICATED WITH THE FLAGS THEY HAD PROVIDED. THEY LEFT SOME MESS BUT, WITH ALL OF THE DIGGING THEY HAD TO DO, THAT WAS TO BE EXPECTED. WHAT WAS NOT ANTICIPATED WAS THEIR TRASHING THE MAIN SUPPLY LINE FOR THE DRIP SYSTEM. WHEN THE SYSTEM CAME ON THE NEXT DAY, IT WAS LIKE A FOUNTAIN IN OUR BACK YARD WITH WATER GOING EVERYWHERE. IT TOOK AN AFTERNOON, AND JUST OVER $200.00, FOR A SPRINKLER REPAIR SERVICE TO FULLY REPLACE THE LINE AND TO ADD LINES TO EACH OF THE TREES PLANTED. WHILE I EXPECTED SOME PROBLEMS, I NEVER ANTICIPATED THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO THE DRIP SYSTEM.

THE WORKMEN ARRIVED ON TIME AND DID A GOOD JOB OF PLANTING THE TREES. THEY SECURED THEM SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE RUINED BY WEATHER. HOWEVER, THEY DID BREAK A SPRINKLER SYSTEM PIPE AND DID NOT INFORM US.

WHITFILL NURSERY WAS VERY PRICE COMPETITIVE. THEY DID A GOOD JOB INSTALLING THE 6 TREES IN THE PLACES WE ASKED FOR THEM TO BE PLACED. ALL THE TREES SURVIVED AND ARE VERY HEALTHY.

THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY DELIVERED ON TIME. WHEN THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH ONE TREE, IT WAS CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY.
