His worked was excellent! The total cost included parts and labor. I would refer him to anyone! I'm actually working on getting him out to do some electrical work for me.

Everything went great UNTIL I needed him back to fix some things that were not installed correctly. He came back twice but after that never returned my calls again for legitimate concerns and issues that I had with the work. A handyman is only as good as his warranty and in this case, there was not professional follow-up.

Went great! James is professional, shows up on time, and loves what he does.

James arrived on time and fixed the issues requested. My biggest irk was the price. I agreed to it because I just wanted things to get taken care of but the price was excessive in my opinion which came to about $125/hr. He did a decent job but for that price I would have expected near perfection. On reflection, little things bugged me, perhaps because of the high amount. For instance, rather than remove the items beneath the sink he asked my wife to clean it out (I've never had anyone do this, the 10 or so other workers just moved everything out and got to work). Also, the screws on the fence were too long for the slat thickness so ended up partially erupting from the slats so you have screw tips piecing out a bit. I would have thought if he saw the screws were too on he would have just chosen smaller ones. Also he didn't clean up properly after himself after installing the sink. I've had a few handymen before and never left a middling review but this one just left a bad taste in my mouth even though he got the job done. Won't be using him again.

He did a real good job. I was very satisfied with the guy's service. The pricing was very reasonable. He was not a licensed contractor but he told us that right upfront. He was dependable and he did good work.

Called and left message on 9/24. Now 10/4 and have not received a response. If they can't return a call to get new business, what will their response time be after a project has started?

As I recently moved to the central AZ area from the East Coast, I looked to Angie's list to find someone that was honest, capable and pleasant that would be available to help me with things that needed to be done at my new home in order for me to be comfortable living there. My intention was to identify a handyman that I could trust to do what he said he could do. I was successful in doing so as Valley Home Services Plus has now become my very own Handyman. I witnessed James to be skilled and mindful in his approach to completing tasks, dependable as he honored time for both of us, creative in his approach to problem solving and I look forward to calling him to do other jobs that I want done without fuss or muss. I also would like to say that James was pleasant and fully present to the task when he was working at my home. I appreciated that and I am delighted to know that I can call him for future work...and I will. Thank you Angie's List and James Maltese for a job well one.

James was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive when I initially contacted him and was very detailed in what would need to be done. He was prompt for the appointment time and very efficient with his work. He was also very personable while at my house, which is seemingly a rare trait. I would not hesitate to recommend James and will most definitely be calling him in the future for other work I will need done.

He worked quickly and efficiently and completed the job in 1 day. He cleaned up after himself and did a great job. I would definitely hire him again. James does not require a contractor's license for his line of work so his prices are better, but the quality of work is very good.

Since we just moved in we needed this service right away. I called several area Handymen and none could do it that day. After I explained this to James he was able to clear some of his time that day. He gave me a two window for his arrival. He showed up in the early part of that window He started immediately installing the grips asking me several to make sure he was installing them so that they were easy for me to reach. He was very pleasant and worked fast. I was so happy with the work that he preformed I have asked him to come back on Monday to install a large shed in my back yard. I would recommend James in the future.

Jim arrived early to the job, walked around and organized the work to be done, and got right to work. He worked non-stop until the job was done! He did excellent work and I will be using him again.

This job went very well. We got three estimates. The estimate from Valley Home Services was in the middle and was very fair for the work that would be done. He charged only at cost the materials needed and separated out his labor charge. He did very professional work. Took one day as he promised. He brought the baseboard material over to my home several days before the job so that I could paint it in advance. No complaints at all. I would use this service again.

He only came out just the one time, but I am making like a laundry list to do some more work. I gave him 2 red stars, he was really good. I really like James. He even did a little extra while he was here and I was really pleased. He was prompt, neat, clean, the job was done to my satisfaction, he was pleasant, and the price was right.

I give Valley Home Service a 100****. This handyman was the BEST Handyman I've ever used. I would recommend his service to everyone I know. He hung up my curtains, 46' TV and a light fixture. I think his price is fair. He has a very full schedule, so you have to book with him early. He is very good.
