Nick was very professional from the beginning. We made many changes during the course of our planning, and Nick didn't appear to have any problems with our changes; he offered practical feedback and helped us reduce our cost when possible. He even went shopping with us, so we could discuss our ideas and choose the plants that would be attractive and also flourish in Arizona. The other folks on Nick's crew were pleasant, courteous, and respectful of our property (no damages were incurred during the course of the project). The finished project looks spectacular! My wife and I are extremely happy with our backyard, and would recommend Scape Tech for professionalism, cost, eco-friendliness, and appearance.

Nick and his crew were terrific. I would hire them again in a instant. The crew would arrive early and work late. The whole project took about 2 1/2 weeks. Not one problem came up. We are LOVING our backyard! Thanks Nick!

The crew arrived on time and worked very hard all day long until the job was finished. Nick was very good at keeping me up to date and informed on what was next. The job was completed on time and was exactly what I had asked for. I would use them again if the need ever comes about.

It turned out great!. Justin was in charge of the project and was wonderful from day 1. We got a few other bids and went with Justin because he wanted to make us happy with our project, not just do the job. We were working from a landscape plan created by a well known Scottsdale landscape architect. There were a lot of plants involved. Some decisions and changes were made due to elevation change that became apparent after the demo happened and Justin reassured us that all would turn out terrific. He even did a 3-D drawing showing us of how it would turn out with walls along the walkway, which the walls were not part of the landscape plan. All his workers were hard working and respectful of our property. The project took them about a month to finish. A few odds and ends were taken care of after the project was finished and they took care of those fairly quickly. Plants were planted at the end of June so we are concerned that some might die, but Justin reassured us that they will replace any that don't make it.

We had been planning on landscaping our all dirt backyard for some time and Justin with Scape Tech turned our vision into reality. From day one Justin was honest, friendly, punctual, knowledgeable and provided a very competitive quote for the job. He was always available to answer any questions and was very willing to make some changes we had mid-job. We were thinking about planting a different type of tree; however, Justin informed us that particular species has a very hard time surviving the Arizona hot summers and had us look at the Mediterranean Fan Palms. We're glad he did because we love the way they look and its nice knowing we won't have to worry about them in the summers or winters. The job was completed in about 4 and 1/2 days and their team arrived every day they said they would and did not skip any days to work on other projects. Once they started the job it was exciting to come home and look in the backyard to see what they had done that today, instead wondering what they did or when they would be back. They transformed our backyard from a dirt lot into a mini paradise for us to enjoy for years to come. I highly recommend ScapeTech Landscaping and Design, you won't be disappointed. When we purchased our house it came with a very desert/low water landscaping package. We wanted the backyard and parking area to look much more lush and tropical. Nick heard us out and carried out the idea. Before deciding on scapetech we interviewed approximately 8 other landscape architechs, many of whom were outrageously expensive and/or not responsive. Nick was very professional as we went through the design process, incorporating our new ideas, explaining what would work and what he recommended. The backyard turned out great and he was less expensive than many of those we received quotes from. Overall what really distinguished him from many was his responsiveness and ability to communicate.

Nick designed landscaping for our new home. He did our front and backyards as well as a courtyard. He is creative and very knowledgeable. He was very easy to work with fairly priced and great communication. I always knew what was going on and when. He and his team were very professional and worked very hard. I am thrilled with the work done and look forward to working with him more in the future. I can't say enough positive things about him!

Needed more "people space", texture and color in the backyard of a house we recently purchased. Did due diligence and interviewed several different people to do the job. Scape Tech met the criteria of not only bidding within our budget but listened to what we had in mind and offered suggestions that we may want to consider and incorporate. Nick and his crew were great to work with. I say "with" because I was making decisions along the way at each step of the project. They would consult with me for approval as they moved through the project. After the pavers were in and I had the true visual of the yard, the landscaping was easier to design. I am a plant person, so I already had that part of the project covered. Nick got the plants on my list, installed them, dripper system and LED lighting. We decided to have him redo the irrigation in the front yard, too, as well as the LED lighting. Great job! We are very pleased. Punctual, considerate, cleans up at the end of the day. I built my home with my girlfriend and moved in July 2014. I had met with the pool company several months prior and developed a pool design that I really liked but was having difficulty coming up with the surrounding design for the backyard landscape. The pool company claimed to have a landscape division but their approach was simply to ask me ?what would you like?? The problem was I didn?t know what I wanted, nor did I know how to go about designing the backyard. I met with two other landscapers after the pool company had given me a ?design? and all that the landscapers offered was to undercut the pool company?s prices. The problem was at no point was a true landscape designer involved. I decided to consult Angie?s list and discovered ScapeTech and after reading the reviews decided to schedule a consultation with the owner Nick. Nick came out to my home for a meeting and took the time to ask us questions and get a feel for what we liked. We had found some pictures on the Internet of things that we liked and gave Nick those ideas as a starting point along with some feedback of things that we would like to see, such as that I wanted the backyard to feel like it was part of the original topography. Using that feedback and the stuff from the pool company Nick was able to truly design an amazing backyard. He explained to me why elements of the pool company design were not practical, up to code, or functional and went about designing a backyard that fit our style and budget. The whole process was amazing! Nick and his crew did a great job at returning phone calls, showing up on time, and keeping me up to date on the progress the entire way. His crew took care of a couple of mistakes that the pool company made and there was a regular open dialogue between Nick and I regarding budget and my options. He always took the time to make a recommendation based on his experience and get my feedback on each suggestion. In the end the project was done in the projected time and on budget and exceeded my expectations. I truly have a wonderful backyard oasis now and it is all thanks to Nick and his crew. I would highly recommend him to anybody looking to improve upon the functionality and aesthetic of their backyard. There is a difference between a landscaper and a landscape designer, and ScapeTech truly will help you design exactly what you need. For those of you building a pool as well call Nick first! He will be able to incorporate the pool and water feature into the overall design for a better flow. Nick completed contouring, drip system, lighting, decking, coping, water feature, putting green, boulders, fencing and more. It was full service and great experience the entire way! A++

Nick and his crew did a landscape makeover. I had originally wanted the backyard replanted and re-sodded. He explained that the sprinkling system needed to be re-done (over 10 yrs old), so there would be proper irrigation to the new plants and grass. He also recommended LED lights...something we hadn't even considered. The results were fabulous! The project was completed in the timeline promised and for a reasonable price. I highly recommend ScapeTech!

I hired Nick and team in Feb 2015 to do major landscape remodeling on house we just bought. He was very professional and timely with his bid and started the job quickly. The remodel included adding a fenced grassed dog yard with gates, irrigation, and lights. It also included additional yard lighting,extending side yard parking area by 35 ft, widening gate and adding a rolling gate, creating 5 seating areas of pavers, and adding a front security gate so dogs don't dash out. Nick honored his bid and his team did quality work. they were a pleasure to work with and worked with us when we needed to make some changes. I am very happy with the job they did and would not hesitate to use Nick and his team for future work.

Nick and his crew are professional and prompt. We had no problems working with them and all went smoothly. We were even allowed to go to the nursery and look at the plants and trees we were using as well as picking out the pavers and boulders. We will definitely use Scape Tech when we are ready to tackle the front yard and recommend Nick highly.

Nick was great to work with. Not only was he a straight shooter, but he was punctual, professional and provide a great view point for my backyard Most important to me was the fact that his leadership team was on sight for the project.. His team came out and did amazing work. They made sure everything was cleaned up and they checked in with me before leaving the job. I will use them again in the future when I put my hardscape and pool into the backyard.

Dan went beyond what was expected of him, all of his work was great. Dan even fixed my sprinkler system that a previous landscaper had broken, and at no charge. Dan is friendly and courteous and very easy to deal with, it was quite refreshing. I must also add that the price was exceptional. My overall experience was just great. We had a somewhat complex project for the landscaping of our property. Nick took us to a property where he was landscaping a back yard. We were impressed with his work and decided to hire him. He also took us out to a nursery to pick out the trees and bushes. Nick and his crew were very professional, on time and hard working. Nick is an excellent landscape contractor with significant experience in landscape design and installation, and a flair for turning artistic expression into reality. He is very knowledgeable in the types and species of plants, trees and bushes, which look best and which will best survive in the summer heart and winter frosts. He and his crew did an excellent job of installation of the landscaping, which involved placement of rock and boulders, a beautiful dry creek bed in the front yard, irrigation valve, back-flow preventer, irrigation water lines, and the low voltage lighting fixture placement. He used the best materials, which will require less maintenance and will last longer. He installed 3 spaghetti irrigation tubes for each of the large trees (2 deep and one surface) and 2 spaghetti tubes for the smaller trees and some bushes. System testing of the automatic irrigation and lighting systems were successfully performed. A couple of minor adjustments were made to the design as the work progressed to improve the looks and functionality of the landscaping, including additional lighting. Nick from ScapeTech Landscaping and Design delivered on our dream of a welcoming courtyard entry, a large backyard oasis, and a refreshed front yard landscape. His stunning design and competitive quote resulted in our choosing his company over the four others from which we received designs and quotes. He replaced a barren concrete courtyard with an inviting paver walkway and a fragrant garden with lavender and grasses that provide interest and movement. Potted palms grace the front entry, and bougainvillea provide splashes of red. Guests walk into our courtyard and pause enjoying the beauty! An artist friend visiting us exclaimed, ?Whoever did this has the eye of an artist!? He broke up the stark backyard on our one-acre lot with mounds, boulders and low-maintenance Xeriscape. He built a gorgeous 12 linear foot boulder water feature to enhance our pool and installed pavers over our existing concrete back patio which now is extended to complement the free-form pool. Our customer satisfaction remained high throughout the project. Nick was always responsive to our suggestions but provided sound advice on plant choices, etc. Installation was done in the heat of summer, and his men often worked 10-hour days to bring the project to fruition in about a month. That was a very reasonable timeline considering the scope of the project and the fact that he was working cooperatively with the pool installers and county inspectors. Once the pool was finished and he had full access to the property, the project moved rapidly. Nick is a hands-on owner, but he has a very capable team leader in Santiago who kept the crew moving according to plan when Nick was not there. His men are polite, hard- working and trustworthy. We truly are satisfied customers and highly recommend ScapeTech as a reputable, competitive company that produces excellent results.

Dan was wonderful! He went above and beyond to help us accomplish all that needed to be done. He was very respectful and was great to work with. Dan was very particular in all that he did and would go home at night and research questions that we had about our landscape. The price was great and the quality of work was outstanding. The pavers turned out beautifully and the drip system works great and is just what we needed to make our lives much easier. We would use Dan and his company again in a heartbeat!

I met with Nick at my home on 5/30/14. He took the measurements for the new driveway and quoted me a price of $2,600. I accepted the proposed price and Nick said he would email me the proposal that evening. Nick said his schedule was full and he would put a proposed dated on the proposal. The proposal stated the work would be done before the 20th. I wanted the landscape rock laying on the surface, so having a couple of weeks to get it moved worked well for me. I called him on the 6th to check on the schedule date. He said he wasn't sure which day but thought he could get it by or before the following Friday the 13th. He call on Wed the 11th and said he would show up between 6:30 and 7:00 on Friday and complete the work in one day. They arrive just after 7:00 and completed the work and completely cleaned up and were gone before 3:00. The driveway looks great, he and his men were all polite and professional. I've already referred him to another owner in the subdivision who is thinking of the same thing. We are totaly satisfied and have a driveway to be proud of and done a week early. We highly recommend Scapetech.

The experience was very good. I didn't go with them but it was only because of timing. They were very polite and very quick to give an estimate. They were not pushy so it was great. They were very courteous and prompt. They followed up. They were great. They were responsive.

It went very good. He was very nice to work with and I think that he is comparable with the others on price. We just have not made a for sure deal. He was very nice and very punctual in responding to my phone call and meeting with me to give me the estimate.

First of all Scape Tech (Nick Rawlings, Owner) was very responsive and timely in visiting the house and providing me a written quote within a couple of days. He listened very closely to my desires and concepts of what I was looking for, then proceeded to layout a design and prepare the quote. I had also sought a quote from the landscaper who had completed the front yard for the developer. There were some delays in getting their representative to the house to provide a quote. The other contractor's quote was competitive with Scape Tech; however, I do not feel they really understood what I was looking for in some of the desert plants I wanted and the hardscaping requirements I had addressed to both contractors during their initial on-site visits. Notwithstanding pricing quoted, the other contractor could not begin services for approximately 3-4 weeks, if that soon. Scape Tech was able to start on April 23rd right after I closed on the house. I was wanting to have the landscaping completed before I did the final big item moves from from old home on the 28th. Nick was able to accomodate that. The week before he came out and showed me what he had designed and confirmed the cost quote. We reached an agreement to go forth and he marked the plan on the dirt with blue paint, etc. Additionally, he let me go out to his supplier with him to select the gravel and large rock types that he would be placing in the yard. He started the project as promised on April 23rd. Everything was completed and we conducted an acceptance inspection of the results on the 25th. He and his crews were absolutely great. All work was completed as contemplated and the backyard turned out wonderful. It more than met my best expectations. I would recommend this contractor anyone seeking landscaping and hardscaping services.
