Sam Coffey and his team did an incredible job, and met our very tight time frame. He also found some big problems (electrical, plumbing) and was able to fix things that could have been catastrophic later on. They did exactly what we asked. We needed to move in before they were done, and they started with the bedrooms so that we could sleep there while they finished the downstairs. It was a big job, done well, and quickly. His team of workmen were polite and neat. My last experience with contractors was a disaster--over budget and weeks and weeks late completing, so this was quite a contrast.

This was our first experience using HomeAdvisor to find contractors for our outdoor painting project. We chose Unique Coatings and Construction for their high ratings and reviews from other customers on the HomeAdvisor's website. We were not disappointed in the job Sam and his crew did and would hire this company again.

Sam is very professional and his crew did a fantastic job. I was amazed at how well they did all the prepping which took them one full day. They were here on time everyday and were friendly and did excellent work. I would highly recommend them .

We picked this company based on their ratings on Home Advisor and were so happy with their work that we hired them to install crown molding and baseboards throughout our home and paint the entire inside. We are extremely happy with the way our home turned out! It was a pleasure working with Sam and the crew. Sam and his crew arrived timely and worked diligently. I am still in the midst of the remodel and paint. While it has been hectic, Sam's crew have made things easier than I anticipated. They clean as they go and the construction mess is as minimal as can ever be expected.Sam is personable,warm and trustworthy. I practiced law for 40 years and have seen the wrong side of contracting far too often. Sam and his crew are the embodiment of how home remodeling should be done. I would recommend Sam to anyone who is looking for fairness, quality, competency and reliability in a contractor.

Sam showed up on time and described what would be required to paint the exterior of my rental house. Of all the contractors I contacted he was by far the most technically knowledgeable regarding the type of paint needed and how the surface would need to be prepared prior to painting. His crew did excellent work and made repairs, as needed, to trim and damaged siding. They completed the job as scheduled at a fair price. As he is a general contractor and does kitchens I am having him return to remodel the kitchen. I am looking forward to working with them on future projects.

Sam and his team made my exterior house painting project easy and successful. Everything was perfect - from initial response to estimate to completion. I watched the crew do very thorough prep work from caulking everything, to sand, prime and paint. Sam provided samples of different colors, and I am very happy with the final color I chose. The crew was very professional, cleaned up each day when done, and when they left they took all the trash with them. This is a group of men who know their trade and perform it perfectly. I have never had such a pleasant experience with a contractor before. Well done to Sam and his team. I already asked for another bid on painting an interior room!

Unique Coatings and Coatings does a great job. My only hesitation in writing this review is that I want them to be available for immediate future projects. It is refreshing to have someone who calls back right away, prompt, emails, and flexible. They not only paint but also can do multiple different renovation jobs. The team does great work with great attention to detail. I would recommend them with 5 stars plus for customer service, communication, workmanship, timeliness, and overall. My house looks like new. You do not need to go further in search.

From the initial phone call I received from Sam I was taken aback from the outstanding customer service. He was knowledgable, courteous, up front about the process, and was on time with his deadlines. 5 star all the way. Quality work. My wife and I are new to the Huntington Beach area and did not know any local contractors. We turned to Home Adviser where we found Unique Coatings and Construction along with three other contractors. I obtained four bids and we chose Unique Coatings and Construction. Sam wasn't the cheapest bid we obtained, but we made our choice based on his previous reviews combined with our first impression and not merely price alone. We hired Sam to remodel two bathrooms in our second home and I felt so comfortable that I simply handed over the keys and allowed Sam and his employees to complete the job unsupervised. In the planning phase Sam provided input and suggestions while listening to our concerns. During the project Sam kept us updated on the project and provided pictures of the progress. The bathrooms were completed as scheduled and the finished project was amazing.

The guys did a great job painting the exterior of our home. showed up on time and they were very polite. the attention to detail was almost Navy like. Those in the Navy would understand. Thank you again to Sam, Pablo and his crew. I'll make sure to contact them again for future projects.
