Sam came over to my home and was there 15 minutes early - he assessed the project I invisioned and was able to provide a quote while still with me. He was not the least expensive contractor but after checking references and his professionalism (hard to find these days) was what made us decide to go with Sam's company. Sam and his work crew were both professional and ontime each morning ready to paint (others in the past made excuses each day why there late or problems). The crew left each day by walking the home as to what had been done (I asked for this each day - progress report stuff) and expectations for the next day. Excellent painting

Bid consistent with others and within our budget. Written, detailed, realistic time-frame with Dunn Edwards paint to be used. Employed crew were consistent, on time, clean and courteous. Pablo, foreman, was very responsive to requests. House power-washed, holes and cracks repaired and paint sprayed on stucco and brushed on woodwork. Sam was easily reachable by cellphone and would do an inspection of the work as each part was done. 10% given on signing of contract for paint and supplies, followed by 35% progressive after stucco completed. Balance after final inspection. Would and have already recommended Unique Coatings to others.

Friendly, hard working staff.

Unique was timely and professional. Toward the end of the project, the manager deligated to workers and was not there to verify quality or completion. But overall, the project went as planned, particularly with the difficulty of scheduling around other contractors.

Unique Coatings repaired stucco, wood trim, and the patio cover and they replaced a personnel door in the garage. They painted the stucco, trim, and wood siding. They also stripped, sanded, stained, and varnished the oak front door. The house looks very good; the only downsides were scheduling and the front door. The job took longer than it should have (part was due to rain and part was their scheduling us around other jobs). Also, the front door took several rounds of sanding and reapplications of the varnish. They were very diligent in that they came back a couple of times (once even after they were paid) to finish up little imperfections.

5 stars ++ Unique Coatings did a wonderful job in painting our building!! They were very clean, professional and did not bother any of the tenants. The workmanship and materials that they used on this project were the best quality. Their attention to detail was excellent. When I was first walking through the project with Sam Coffey (the owner), he pointed many of the items that needed to be addressed and some that I had not even thought about. Bottom line is that you can obtain quotes from other painters, but in the end you will kick yourself if you do not end up using Unique Coatings for your painting project. I highly recommend them.
