The pool work went well even though there was work stoppage due to communication issues between the landscaping crew and the pool crew. There have been numerous issues with the waterfall leaking that finally got resolved after 3 months. The landscaping crew never did complete the retaining wall job. We were promised dirt to complete the upper planter and it has never been delivered even after numerous calls. Communication with Presidential is awful and when I asked to speak wilth the owner I was told I needed to contact my project manager. The project manager WAS the problem so that did me no good. The pump and filter skid was installed in a poor manner and when I complained I was told that they would come back and level it. They never did. Now I have problems with my pool pump which I attribute to the skid base. The pump guy (different company) is coming out today to investigate. All in all it was a poor experience that could have been made better by good communication.

I like them, they back their work. I like the pool, just the usual problems that you have with a pool they take care of. I would recommend them, especially for the salt water pool. Their professionalism is very good.

The estimate was free of charge. I had called another company that makes the pebbly finish for the pool and I wanted to see who they use. They knew that Presidential Pools gave like a lifetime warranty. The problem was I didn't have a warranty to get the original repair fixed without any money going out. So I wanted to see if everybody would tell me that not only the cracks but the whole pool had to be redone. I just kept thinking that they were looking for a big job with a big pay cheque. I was trying to prevent that and I wondering whom to go to and who has a good warranty. That's one of their selling points. I just wanted to figure out as much as I could upfront before I had them come out. They told me that they use the group that I actually had used before as the repair group. I would consider using their services again in the future.

The job went pretty well. Overall, we were very happy with them. They did a good job. We had to keep in touch with them pretty consistently.

Did the install in the heyday of the building craze, so it took a little longer than we would have liked. But they did a very professional job. The way they run their service department is deplorable though. You can't ever talk with anyone. Worst set up I ever saw. So after service work gets done, but it's frustrating. I understand they have been going through some serious financial issues...but they are still in business and taking care of their customers.

Bill, the sales rep, came in with the lowest bid of three that I interviewed. I was concerned that the work might not be as good, but am very pleased with the finished product. I worked well with Louis, the foreman, who actually provided a couple of 'freebies', I was trying to be frugal and not spend too much, as this was an expensive project. He gave me the plastic joints - those flat plastic pieces that fit between the individual pieces of cement that prevent the cement from cracking. I had elected not to take them, in order to knock off $610, and he said that because he is such a perfectionist, he didn't want to leave me with the potential for cement cracking. We ran into a roadblock with the electrical at the end. Presidential also covered this. They said 2 -3 wks, it took at least 4 wks. They also redid the patio, which was pretty messy after the whole project was completed. Overall, I would recommend.

Loved the end product. There was a long delay in the middle of the pool construction and it has been very slow to get repairs completed. When they do answer calls or visit they are very responsive and great to work with.

Contract was signed March 9, 2006 Pool was swimmable by May 22. The problems were: gaps in the work schedule. We wouldn't see anybody for more than a week; pebble sheen installers chipped the coping in two places, and the repair is obviously darker than the original. Bobcat broke lawn edge curbing at front lawn even though it was not even close to its path. It appeared someone new was learning how to drive it. Company would not replace it. However, the finished product is well-designed and pleasing to us. The report on the landscaping division of Presidential (Presidential Outdoor Environments) is separate, even though we wanted it coordinated with the finishing of the pool.

We hired Presidential because they were doing our pool, and we felt the timing would be well-coordinated with the finishing of the pool. The salesman assured us it would be. When the pool was finished, they came around and collected $8000.00 and work was supposed to start. Nothing happened for three weeks. Multiple phone calls, many of which were not returned, and even an e-mail to the head guy of the company, Ken Chandler, went unanswered. After three weeks and a threat to have the contract revoked, they pulled a crew off another job and did our pavers, which had to be done before anything else. Once the pavers were done, the rest proceeded quickly and without problem. Overall, the quality of the work was good, with the exception of a couple of plants, one of which is being replaced within a week (at least, that's what we were told). In all fairness, the problems mainly were with the hardscaping. The softscaping foreman always got back to us.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS PROMPT, VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN POOL EQUIPMENT, & EXPLAINED THE PROCESS. HE REMOVED THE BROKEN MOTOR & CLEANED THE AREA PRIOR TO REPLACING THE MOTOR. HE SEALED THE UNIT & CHECKED THE REST OF THE SYSTEM FOR OTHER POTENTIAL PROBLEMS.

THE POOL WAS POURED INCORRECTLY; HOWEVER, THE PRESIDENT CAME OUT & MADE THINGS RIGHT. THE SUPERVISOR WAS ON HAND QUITE A BIT & ENSURED THAT THINGS MOVED ALONG QUICKLY. OUR SERVICE REP LACKED THE "SERVICE" PART OF HER POSITION. COMPLAINTS WERE HANDLED BETTER BY SALES THAN BY SERVICE. NOW THAT THE POOL IS DONE, THE RESPONSE TIME TO ISSUES IS SLOWER THAN BEFORE. OVERALL, THE POOL IS NICE.

BUILT US AN UNBELIEVABLE POOL FOR THE MONEY AND THREW IN MANY EXTRAS WE DID NOT WANT TO BUY SUCH AS OZONE ETC. ALL CONTRACTORS WERE CLEAN AND TIMELY. THE POOL IS FABULOUS. I WOULD DEFINITELY BUILD ANOTHER POOL WITH THEM. AS FIRST TIME POOL OWNERS WE HAVE RECEIVED WONDERFUL SERVICE AND INFORMATION AND SOLUTIONS WHEN WE HAVE HAD WATER PROBLEMS ETC.

THEY BUILT A VERY GOOD POOL, BUT WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS GETTING THEM TO COME BACK OUT AND FIX THINGS.

PRESIDENTIAL POOLS WAS THE ONLY COMPANY WHICH RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS. THEY WERE ON TOP OF ALL REQUESTS. I NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEIR WORK EFFORTS/PROFESSIONALISM.

THE PRICES WERE SLIGHTLY LOWER THAN COMPETITORS AND PROVIDED MORE PERKS. WORK WAS COMPLETED IN A TIMELY MANNER, BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS NOT GOOD. THE REPRESENTATIVES GAVE MISLEADING INFORMATION. ONCE THE POOL WAS STARTED THE WORKERS DID GOOD WORK. AFTER THE SERVICE WAS COMPLETE THEY WERE NOT VERY RESPONSIVE ABOUT COMPLETING REPAIRS CAUSED BY THE WORKERS, SOME REPAIRS WERE NEVER COMPLETED.

WE SEARCHED AROUND FOR PRICES ON POOLS AND WAS GIVEN THE BEST PRICE BY PRESIDENTIAL POOLS. THEY HAVE COME BACK AND SERVICED THINGS ON OUR NEW POOL WITHIN 1 DAY OF REQUEST.

WE RECEIVED THE BEST PRICE FOR THE POOL WE GOT THROUGH THIS COMPANY. THEY FINISHED IT IN A TIMELY MANNER, HOWEVER, THEY INSTALLED THE WRONG DIVING BOARD. THEY DID COME BACK TO REDO THE DIVING BOARD AREA AND MADE IT RIGHT.

OVERALL, GOOD REPAIR EXPERIENCE. THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, AND DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE WITHOUT TRYING TO ADD ON.
