Open Sesame Garage Doors

I was quoted $699 to replace two springs on my 16x8, 25 gage garage door. Very expensive for a 30 mins job. Got the springs replaced the same day for $225 ( 5yr warranty). Photo attached: No damage on anything. Be smart to get multiple quotes..! I paid a $75 trip charge.

This job was handled under a home warranty contract. I contacted the home warranty company on Fri Jul 11 and the job was immediately assigned to the reviewed provider. The provider contacted me within 2 hours of the online request to the home warranty provider, and we arranged for an early Mon Jul 14 service call. They do not work weekends which I understood before setting the appointment. Checking with Angie's list, I noted that the provider had an and quot;Fand quot; rating based on 1 review, so I was curious about how that was arrived at. Thanks to the transparency of the Angie's list website, I was able to read all of the details of that review and found out that the provider was rated only on an apparent lack of telephone response to the rater's early-morning calls, and no contact or work was ever performed. This seemed to stem from a misunderstanding of hours of operation of the provider. I found the hours of operation listed by the provider to be accurate when checking online. Of course, I did not expect an immediate response going through a third party, but felt that the response was very adequate. and quot;Steveand quot; showed up on-time Mon morning and was able to complete the job in about 20 minutes, replacing the remote controller module on the garage door opener. When I inquired about re-programming of my car's and quot;home-linkand quot; remote system, he initially said it wasn't included, but then within a couple of minutes had it working! I was very pleased with the outcome and would use this provider again. For those members comparing prices, without the home warranty contract the job would have cost $165.

Our garage door was damaged the night before and we waited until 8:00 AM to call Open Sesame. Their website says they open at 6:00 AM so we thought someone would answer the phones. No one did. We left an urgent voice mail stating that we couldn't get our car out of the garage and needed to get to work. Called them back at 9:30 and left an angry message. They finally called back around 10:00 AM stating that, and quot;The phones have been ringing off the hook. Sorry about that.and quot; By that time, we'd already gone on Angie's List and found a reputable garage door repair company who DID answer their phones and was sending someone out within the hour. Later learned that the only reason they get all the Costco garage door installations: Someone is related to a person working at Costco. Nepotism never works! Don't even think about calling this company for help on repairing your garage door!
