A service call was scheduled within 3 hours and the problem was completely resolved. The technician was very nice, professional and also performed annual maintenance on the water heater. I live in California and a tenant rents the property. The service call was scheduled with my tenant and the technician kept in good communication with me regarding the service to be performed. They offered a coupon for annual maintenance and the cost was very reasonable. I always rely on Angie's List to find service providers for my two rental units and have not been disappointed with anyone I have hired to date. I only call providers with "A" ratings and highly, highly recommend this company with their well earned good reviews!

Installed a new water heater. Very professional timely service! Was really impressed in the weekend service too! Technician took the time to explain maintenance recommendations as well.

The burner on my gas water heater would not fire-up even after several attempts. Based on Angie's List reviews, I called Lawson Family Plumbing. The receptionist/dispatcher was VERY kind & accommodating. She was able to schedule a tech to arrive the next day to give me a free estimate, which happened to be on a Saturday. She told me there was no extra fee for Saturdays and that there was also no "trip fee" or "service call" fee, which some other companies do charge. The tech arrived as scheduled... he was even on the early end of the time slot! Based on his prior experience, he quickly concluded the thermocouple needed replacement. The part was replaced quickly and the heater now works just fine. There was originally a mix-up in the price of the part & labor. The owner of the company himself (Jeff Lawson) called to not only offer an apology for the mix-up but also TO OFFER A REFUND OF THE OVER-CHARGE! In my book, this indicates a truly concerned & ethically run family business!

Mike went out of way to do the install on Saturday, his normal day off. He arrived at the agreed upon time. Once the install was completed the area was thoroughly cleaned. Mike spent time answering all my questions. Made sure I understood how to add the salt and when it was needed.

It was a pretty long day for the plumber and me, too. He had began his day with an emergency call so was off schedule by about 2 hours but stayed till the entire system was completed. Lots of work involved in putting one of these systems in when you do not have the 'loop' to begin. I had had probably 6 different companies out to test my water and talk specifics but Lawson hit all the marks much better than the others. It is a family ran business, is on Angie's List (this logo is proudly displayed on their service truck) and I like to support small companies rather than big box stores. At the end of his work time around 7:45PM he left but I did not know till the next morning he had failed to turn the "hot' water valve back on. Because of our very extreme heat, hot water really is not needed to wash your face but because it was Friday I wanted to get it fixed before the weekend was upon us. I e-mailed early on Friday morning to get him to return, received a phone call from the business office and scheduled a return which he did around 5PMish that day and it was an easy fix. The water is so very 'hard' here it is difficult to tell the difference as yet with less than a week of showers etc but I will be so very glad to get my soft skin back and to give all the appliances a break from the enormous wear and tear all these deposits do on washers, dishwashers, sinks, refrigerator filters and bathroom showers in general. UPDATE: 3 weeks out..love the difference this system has made with all the above, i.e. skin, appliances, laundry etc. LOVE IT! A hole approximately 9" x12" was made in my garage wall lto get to the plumbing pipes and was not repaired. I did not know that this would be happening and was not pleased to hear "...we are plumbers not dry wallers...". I complained and the plumber indicated he will return on his time to repair. I realize he is a plumber but I have no materials to repair this type of thing and was not a happy camper to be told a 'dry waller could be recommended at an extra cost'. There was no disclaimer talked about prior to cutting the hole needed to have access to the pipes, so it came as a total surprise that no 'fix' would be done by him. I feel it is/was the right thing to do and I should have been advised prior to the cutting of the hole. Putting in one of these total systems is very costly and one a contractor could have done easily while building BUT this company has good guarantees on the equipment as well as the labor. Overall I am satisfied (except for the hole).

They responded the same day to let us know that they did not do dishwasher repairs. I appreciated the fast response, and would definitely consider them for future plumbing work.

I did not have a date/time when my RO system was last maintained, so I went ahead and hired Lawson Plumbing once again to do the job. Job went smooth, and Mike kept me informed of all the steps he was doing. I do like the fact that he put on the booties to protect my floor, and also had a rug right next to the area he was working in. He did a great job, and will call them if I have any plumbing needs in the future.

They were on time, proffesional, explained everything and did an awesome job.

Mike called early and let me know when to expect him to arrive. I had a complete water softener system installed. All the necessary parts were delivered and install flawlessly. Installation went as perfectly as can be. Took out the old softener and installed the new one in a very professional manner. Mike is a very nice individual, excellent conversationalist, answered all my questions ( and then some). I would DEFINITELY recommend Lawson Plumbing to anyone! I came from the midwest and one of my good friends runs a family plumbing business, and everything I have seen so far from Lawson, is the same. I will have them return for any plumbing needs I have.

They were good. One gentleman came out, he dug up the concrete, found the leak, repaired it, and repaired the concrete as well. He didn't have anyone else come in to repair the concrete, and that is all that I needed.

It went very well. They contacted me the day I bought the Deal, set up an appointment for a few days later and were on time. He was knowledgeable, efficient and professional.

My mother put onion skins down the disposal and clogged the kitchen sink. This was the second time this happened in a few months. The first time Lonnie came out he didn't charge me at all, the second time his fee was a very reasonable trip charge. But best of all he came to the rescue the day I called. I actually have a Home Warranty that can not provide this kind of service any sooner than 48 hours from the time the call is received. Thank you Lonnie and Lawson Family Plumbing! You are the best.

I called Lawson Family Plumbing, due to a bit of an urgent issue, which I needed to have resolved today at my house. The woman that I talked to was extremely friendly and professional. She checked to see if they had any openings and there was a possibility of getting me in later in the evening, but it wasn't a guarantee, so she gave me a referral to another plumbing company. She showed empathy and concern and said she would rather have me go elsewhere and definitely get someone out right away, rather than having it not be guaranteed. I was so impressed with this and her referral just happened to have somoene in between jobs, in my area, so it worked out perfectly. Although I didn't use Lawson, I would highly recommend them and use them myself in the future based on this experience. Thank you!

The technician showed up on time, was polite and professional. The final cost was a little bit less than the estimate. I'm satisfied with the work.

My experience went okay. I ended up not using the deal. The staff was professional while visiting but their pricing was too high.

Their representative Mike was both the salesman and installer. We liked that. He was knowledgeable, prompt, did an excellent installation, provided information we needed to know and answered all of our questions.

I called for an estimate a day or two ago. We agreed on an appointment for this morning. Mike showed up as agreed, reviewed my request, and gave me a very reasonable estimate. I called later in the morning to schedule the job. There was no urgency to my request, but I was given an appointment later the same day to have the work done. Mike showed up, as scheduled, and completed the work. The workmanship was exemplary. Considering the craftsmanship and attention to detail exhibited by Mike...who took the time to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it...I feel like I got a great service at a great price. To top it off, Lawson Family Plumbing provides an instant, paperless invoice!

Once they got here, they completed the job in about 2 hours. Everything turned out good. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied with was the customer service. The appearance of the gentleman who showed up wasn’t very professional. He was very dirty and grungy looking: holes in his pants, untucked shirt, and sneakers.

Lawson was wonderful. They came out and provided a clear explanation of the issue we were having with our water heater. Then, they worked with the Home Warranty company to understand our coverage and present options. We opted to replace the water heater through the warranty. Lawson was low-pressure, friendly, and honest about their assessments. We'll probably be buying a water softener system from them in the coming months, but there was no pressure to do so. We will be using Lawson for future plumbing jobs, including requesting them through our home warranty service.
