After fixing the leak, Lance showed me the work completed and we tested the line to make sure it was no longer leaking. I was very satisfied with the work completed and would certainly use him again for future irrigation issues.

+ -1 more. Provider did not honor the deal. He did not do a comprehensive anything. He was at my house for approximately 15 minutes (short of the 1 hour indicated in the deal). He didn't check the drip irrigation nozzles because they were under the plants and bushes. When he had the whole system working I asked him to turn it on again so I could locate the nozzles. He refused. He showed me some wet dirt near some roses where the nozzles are very obvious. He did send me an estimate for repair - $120 to "rebuild" the first valve that new costs around $27. The repair kits are around $10. The estimate for the three remaining valves was $60 each - the diaphragm needed replacing. My research shows that the price of the diaphragm is less than $10. He ripped me off when I asked him about the hour promised in the deal. His reply that it only included 6 systems was evidence of the con because I only have 4 systems. So bottom line - what I got for my $84 was a quote for $425 - which I don't believe would be the final costs because he did nothing to check the drip irrigation nozzles. The estimate included replacing the sprinkler heads which worked and only need adjustment for spray. One of the working sprinklers he wanted to replace "due to poor installation" only needed a small fountain moved out of the direction of the spray. Buyer beware - the Big Deal I got was payment of $84 to get a half-assed assessment of my sprinklers and opportunity to "rebuild" units that become much more expensive than replacing with new parts. My experience with Lance White was equivalent to dealing with auto-mechanics who think women are stupid and try to take advantage.
Description of Work: Big Deal was for COMPREHENSIVE SPRINKLER TUNE-Up - which was suppose to include up to 1 hour (or 6 systems) check sprinklers, and program sprinkler timer. There was no comprehensive anything done. Lance White was at my house for approximately 15 minutes. He did not check the front drip irrigation nozzles in the front or back yards because they weren't visible - drip irrigation nozzles are normally near the plants and not out in the open. He did not check 6 systems because I only have 4 (3 in back yard and 1 in front yard.) He originally told me I had 5 valves (in reality I have 4 -the fifth valve he was counting twice wasn't being used and had not been used in years.) One valve was not working correctly. He was able to turn it on and he told me apparently the one valve controlled all nozzles or sprinklers, He said the proof was that there was some wet ground. I asked him to turn it on again so I could see where the various sprinklers were located. He refused still complaining that the drip irrigation nozzles were difficult to find. He noticed that the lawn sprinkler heads in certain areas were not directed correctly - He did not adjust any sprinklers or the water flow to them. I have re-directed sprinklers to correct coverage problems and was shocked when he said they all had to be replaced - which I consider unnecessary. As he was leaving I asked him about the 1 hour service that was part of the deal. He told me the deal was for 1 hour or 6 systems (valves). Because I had been told I had only 5 valves originally I checked. Apparently he was counting non-working value twice. He did not do a comprehensive sprinkler tune up as advertised. He said he would need to rebuild the valves. I asked what rebuild values were compared to cost of new valves. He told me he didn't know anything about the cost of new valves. Effectively I paid $84 to get an estimate for repair. Most contractors don't charge for estimates. Buyer Beware.....the deal is only for an estimate to work - not a comprehensive sprinkle tune up.

Lance was very prompt in returning my call and immediately walked me through testing the irrigation panel - with the hopes of me fixing it myself (to prevent a service call). At the time, we thought we fixed the issue. I had to call him the next day and report that issue was still occurring. He came out that very same afternoon and ended up replacing the circuit board. I was very satisfied with Lance's service and professionalism and will definitely be calling him in the future.

I was very satisfied and pleased with his work. Lance fit me into his busy schedule due to the severity of my problem. He arrived 24 hours after I contacted him.
Description of Work: Repaired and replaced two main cracked irrigation lines which required digging two three foot trenches approximately a foot deep. Removed and replaced the soil and gravel near the trenches. Repaired three spaghetti lines which also required removing the soil and gravel. Inspected and replaced irrigation control box circuit board. Lance indicated replacement was covered under manufacture's warranty.

+ -1 moreWe showed Lance 3 areas where water was welling up from the ground, one of which was under the front sidewalk. He dug out all the rocks and dirt on either side of the walkway, pulled out the old hoses and spliced in two new ones. In the back yard he did the same thing for two other broken hoses. Fortunately they were not under sidewalks, however he did have to move a boulder to get to one. He also capped off several little feeder hoses that weren't needed any longer. He explained everything he was doing, cleaned up the messes, and even advised us about our watering schedule.

Description of Work: Woke up at 6 AM to a Jogger knocking on our door. Somehow our automatic sprinkler head had been busted off and water was Gushing down the street. I called Lance about 8-:30-9 AM and he said he could be out the next day, which was faster than I was planning anyway. About and hour later, I got a call from Lance stating that he had a cancellation and could fix my sprinkler Same Day if I had the time. I obliged and was Very Grateful that he took the time to call me. He showed up Same Day and fixed my problem. Couldn't get any easier, and I couldn't ask for better service.

Checked all the sprinklers, drips and bubblers, adjusted them were needed. Checked for leaks and found four. Moved rock were needed to find drips. Explained operation on programming board and set program. Will come back to address the leaks and cap off two bubblers. Very courteous and professional.

+ -1 moreCalled Lance the day before with our problem made an appointment for 8:30am next day. He showed up as scheduled. He adjusted the controller which had gotten messed up when the landscaper replaced a valve. We could not get it to turn or off on schedule. Lance is an expert in the irrigation service. Will hire him to do our sprinkler system in the front yard when we are ready. They also give a 10% discount to seniors .
Description of Work: adjusted and reset everything on the water controller so the irrigation is working again.

+ 0 moreDo take advice from someone who knows what they are doing. The "landscapers" I have had really messed things up. I would never allow another landscaper to touch my system. They just don't know what they are doing. If irrigation is the issue, call someone whose specialty is irrigation. Irrigation Repair Services really is a good company. I called them because a close friend, who had used them, really encouraged me to use their services.
Description of Work: I called today to schedule an appointment to have my irrigation system checked. Lance answered immediately and scheduled me for a slot between two existing appointments. He fixed a leak, replaced some soaker/irrigation heads and inspected the landscape lighting in the front. The price was fair and he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. What a nice man! He was pleasant, knowledgeable and very professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services.
