Tech did what he thought might help BUT to no avail. Looks like the compressor is going bad?...He put a booster kit in ($260). Won't restart after running long enough to substantively reduce inside temp...Unit is 2014 install. Warranty?.

On Sunday morning at 1 AM, I realized my a/c was dying. Later in the morning I called-out to several companies on-line, but nobody responded to me until I got a call from Dave at High Efficiency, (a quick response at that). Dave got my refrigerant line repaired, evacuated and recharged at a price that was, at first, hard to swallow. Later that day, one of the other companies showed up at my door and I explained that the repair was already done. "Well, what was done and how much did H.E. charge you?" When I told him, he said for the same work, his bill would have been 50% HIGHER. I'm writing this one week after the repair and my system is performing very well. Tech came out to diagnose my brand new split pump system and he ended up filling the refrigerant and admitting he did not know what the problem was. Turns out the problem was not fixed and was promised research would be done to help get it running again. I ended up having to go back to the private contractor who built the home, and he sent out the ac guy who installed it. The first thing he did was check the levels of refrigerant and said there was none in there. This means either this companys technician did not actually put any in the unit, or he created a bigger leak by over-tightening the hose connections. Essentially I have overcharged 230 dollars for a refrigerant top off that may or may not have happened. So yeah, I am pretty angry about it.

These guys were incredible!! Home Advisor referred them and they came through with 5 star service calling me right away with my emergency air conditioning problem. Dave was here when scheduled and fixed my problem right away while also explaining in detail the issue I had and a suggested plan on what to prepare for in the future as my AC unit is showing wear and tear. Gus and his tech Chuck were very professional. They worked quickly and accurately to meet my family s needs. We were told by multiple companies that we would have to replace our whole unit. Gus and his team installed my home AC unit at the highest professional level possible. They installed a split system with the air handler on the roof in a small attic space in temperatures over 106 degrees. Besides the basic installation , they fixed and adjusted several key components necessary for optimal performance of the unit that were overlooked by 3 other companies I took bids from. No matter who you choose to do this kind of complicated installation, at some point 'Trust' in the company makes the difference. Gus delivered on his word. I'm 100% certain anybody using High Effoency Air Conditioning , wil be every bit as satisfied as my wife and I were. Thank you Gus.

Gus was super responsive and was able to get Dave out to look at our unit that wasn t cooling the very next morning. We have some older units and Dave did a great job diagnosing and explaining what was likely happening with our unit. We liked our service so much that we had Dave come back to do annual maintenance on both units. Great discussion on the age of the units, what is worth investing in or not. If you are looking for honest, knowledgeable people that are not looking to sell you some thing you don t need...this company is for you! I absolutely recommend them over the larger commission based companies!
