I had a service call on 10/21 for a clogged kitchen sink. I had already taken the pipes apart and it wasn't clogged under the sink. Tech came out, spent 12 mins outside, charged me $215.63. Next day ran the washer and my utility room flooded, tech comes back out and worked about 45 mins, charged another $125. 10/30 left a message saying my kitchen sink was backed up again. No call back. Called on 10/31, manager shows up at my house at 9pm and says it's a problem from my house to the street, will be $2900. Next morning, the owner & the manager show up and agreed that was the problem. My 29 yr old daughter was handling it at this point for me. The owner basically told her that he wasn't happy about being at my house (4th time out) on a Sunday morning at 8am, she basically told him to back up. The next day got an estimate from them for $6k. I asked why it had doubled from the day before, no reply. I told them I have insurance to cover sewer line repairs, no response. The owner told my daughter they had cleaned the pipes out on the East side of the house, kitchen and laundry are on the West side. There was no problem on the bedroom side of the house. Maybe they'd like to use that to justify the $365.63 I paid them for not fixing what I called them out for. I have a no deductible insurance policy for this repair that needs to be done. I have waited this long for them to get back to me and they haven't. I have a different company coming out now. The manager said I shouldn't have been charged for the second trip out, but I surely haven't seen any refunds. They must need that money really bad. I am a widow on a fixed income, I don't think they needed it worse than I do. They have walked away with my money and have fixed nothing. Don't do me any favors by cleaning out pipes that go to the bathrooms, I didn't ask for it. Sink still clogged, so unprofessional, disappointment is an understatement.

Terrible, Estimate was extremely high at least 50% higher than anyone else, plus the technicians brought in dirt on their shoes requiring me to sweep and wash my floors and vacuum all carpets that they walked on and to add insult to injury they charged me $75.00 for the estimate. Got totally ripped off, would not recommend them to anyone. Would give zero stars if I could.

We had a pipe under our kitchen sink come lose (these are plastic pipes that are hand tightened) that connected to the garbage disposal so we wanted to make sure that there wasn't any larger problem. The guy that came out looked at the pipes and hand tightened them. He used no tools or parts and spent less than a minute "working." For this service, we were charged almost $200. Again no tools or parts used at all. When my wife questioned the price he tried to sell her a monthly service plan to lower the cost. When she told him we already had the plan with his company he went out to his car and came back with a slightly higher price than he verbal told her a few minutes before. Again she questioned the price and he told us this was the maintenance contracted price while she could visually see he was trying not to laugh/smile. I called the business myself the next day and was told a manager would call me on Monday. I explained the situation and we called them because we had this service contract and just wanted to make sure that we were not missing anything other than the one loose pipe. I also explained that there were no tools or parts used and wanted to know how they could charge almost $200 and also why the cost went up after informing them we had a service contract with them. On the Monday they said they would call they never called did and we will no longer use them for anything ever again.

This is the second time I've worked with this group and both experiences have been great. Mike B. Reviewed my options and offered a few alternatives to help me figure out the most affordable option for proceeding. He walked me through the risks of the lower cost alternatives and was comfortable allowing me to watch the repair. That helped me better understand why an option may not be our final solution. In the end the time and care he took allowed us to fix the unit without the need for replacing the water heater. That was a huge relief! The tips and lessons he provided along the way were very beneficial. As I mentioned this is the second time I worked with this business. Each time I found them responsive, helpful, and I believe, honest! I look forward to using their services again

Mike & Brian Jr showed up right on time, were friendly and professional and got right to work. Installed a new 50-gallon gas water heater for exactly the price that was quoted even though they had to do some extra work on the exhaust flu because the new water heater I purchased separately had a different top than the old heater. After completing the work, they made sure I tested that I was getting hot water, then they cleaned up the area and gave a brief explanation of the unit's operation (even though I didn't buy it from them). Very highly recommended. I will call on them the next time I need a plumber. $375 which included new fittings and ball valve.

Sorry for the miscommunication, we were in the process of training new office staff. Aside from a wet spot and some sediment outside, there wouldn't be much more to see on a hot water flush.

I initially contacted Ground Zero via an Angie's List special to perform a Water Heater Flush and whole house plumbing inspection for a very reasonable price. Mike arrived on time for the appointment. He handed me a few marketing items, (a magnet with the company's contact info, and a brochure,) then went to work on flushing the water heater, and performing the inspection. On the inspection sheet he noted several things which I was already aware of, as well as several things I was not. I let Mike know that my budget wouldn't allow me to do all the repairs. Mike's low pressure approach and his very high enthusiasm for the company put my mind at ease, because High Pressure Sales Tactics are very distasteful to me. His assured demeanour and confidence in the company and the Hero Club program worked. A very short time later, I discovered a slow leak in my Master Bathroom coming from the tank of the toilet. I called Gound Zero. They sent Mike. I signed up for the Hero Club, got a deep discount on the cost to replace the toilet (which was the only way to resolve this leak) and was still able to get to work on time. Thank you Mike and Ground Zero! It's nice to know I have a reliable resource to handle plumbing issues at my older home. I know I'm going to use their services again when I get a Water Pressure Regulator installed (that's been on my ToDo list for Years!)

Mike and Mike arrived to flush the water heater and conduct a whole house plumbing inspection. Both were very professional and thorough. They also provided quotes on external work we are considering. We expected and received fair and professional treatment. We will probably have them back to complete the expected work.

This company is very close to receiving “straight a’s.” However, there were a few areas that should be addressed if I was the owner. They are a 24-hour company, but it took multiple phone calls for me to get someone to pick up. My first phone call was after hours or about 1:00 a.m., but the time shouldn’t matter if you advertise as a 24-hour company. After finally getting through and securing an appointment for later that day, Michael showed up within the set appointment time. He was training someone at the time. Both were very friendly and professional. After discussing what needed to be done (leaking hose within the faucet), we discussed what it would cost if Ground Zero provided a new faucet and installed it. We discussed the style that I was looking for, but the price was ludicrous. $600+ for parts/labor for a basic stainless steel kitchen faucet. I contained my laughter, but at that point I decided to buy my own faucet and have them install it for me. I was quoted $200 for the install, but I claimed a deal for $99 for $200 of labor through Angie’s List. After pricing was discussed we decided on a 1230-2:30 p.m. appointment time for the following day. A few hours later, I received a phone call from Ground Zero stating that there was a scheduling error and that my time needed to be moved to 2-4 p.m. No problem at this point (mistakes happen). Fast forward to the morning of the install day. I receive another phone call stating that my time needs to be moved AGAIN because of an emergency at one of the jobs that my tech was responding to. Ground Zero said that my time needed to be moved to 4-6 p.m. I understand situations arise and some things are out of one’s control. However, this, to me, was unacceptable so I called back and spoke to someone about my time being moved twice. A manager was able to step in and come by to do the install. This deserves a lot of credit for someone going above and beyond to provide great customer service. Furthermore, I would like to address another concern of mine. I never received any type of an invoice for an estimate or receipt of payment for the install (paper copy or email). Overall, Ground Zero seems like a good company, but they need to tie up some loose ends.

I was very impressed and I highly recommend Ground Zero. They were conservative in their recommendations (unlike most companies I've worked with), and Brian kept me involved and updated throughout the entire process. Their prices are industry standard but their service was not. I was very blessed to have chosen them and will be working with them again. They have hundreds of positive reviews and I can see why. Everyone was an absolute pleasure to work with, from the office admin to the plumbing/restoration guys to the owner, Brian.

A friend of mine told me to call Ground Zero to have them come out and look at it. It was on a Saturday and they made time to come out. I talked to a young man named Devon and he scheduled someone to come out within the hour! The technician they sent out was Mike and he was very nice. He gave me an estimate to replace the drip pan and I will be calling them to get that replaced ASAP!

Brian and his team were very responsive when we discovered a possible leak under the kitchen floor. Brian called out someone to locate the leak and our suspicions were immediately confirmed. Luckily the water had not penetrated the floor yet. Brian provided an estimate for the repairs and scheduled the plumber to reroute the hot water supply line from the garage to the kitchen through the attic, which saved us a lot of money and hassle of tearing up the kitchen floor. The plumbing and drywall repairs were done quickly and professionally. Everyone including the office staff were very courteous and respectful. I cannot thank Brian and his team enough for the extraordinary efforts, promptness and professionalism. I will definitely use them again if needed and I highly recommend this contractor for your plumbing repair needs.

I have been using Silver Fox for the last 2 years. Yesterday I came home to an 87 degree house. Immediately I called Silver Fox. Brian (The owner) picked up and I told him the issue and he said Fred would be over in 30 minutes. Sure enough Fred was here on time and diagnostic the A/C unit needing as needing a new compressor motor and capacitor. 1 hour later my house was cooling down! After discussing the services included in the preventative maintenance agreement, I asked if Silver Fox would be proactively scheduling the semi-annual services or if I would need to remember it myself. The primary reason I went with Silver Fox was that they promised that they proactively manage this for their customers. The tech came out the next day and did the first checkup and cleaning, all was well. As the next scheduled checkup was due in the fall, I monitored to see if Silver Fox would deliver as promised and proactively call me. They did not. Spring came and went, by the time it got to May 2012 I was tired of waiting and called them. They first tried to charge me $39.95 for the tune up after I had already said I had a PMA with them. The tech was scheduled to come out the next day so I took off work to meet them. Their stated arrival window came and went with no phone call or any notification from Silver Fox. In the late afternoon I called to see what was going on and they said they weren't coming because they didn't have my phone number on file (what??). At this point I was tired of dealing with Silver Fox so I asked for a refund of the PMA since they had not delivered on 2 of the scheduled checkups and was told the owner would call me back. This was two weeks ago as of the time of this posting and no response yet. The work they did perform at first was good and the price was reasonable, but once they have your money they stop responding and fail to deliver as promised. Beware of using this company.
