AVOID AT ALL COST! This company misrepresents information to customers. They were supposed to come out for an estimate on a pool heater and service to clean the pool. No action was to take place without the homeowner present -they were instructed to call before arrival as we are moving into a new home and were not on property. Instead, the technician let himself onto the property (unauthorized) and treated the pool with chemicals. Advertised fee was $85 per month for 4x monthly service. When told we didn’t want to use the company because of what transpired, an invoice of $105 was sent. This was never agreed to and is premised on a misrepresentation. The company is also completely unhelpful over the phone and is incredibly rude. Plenty of other pool services to use. Beware of mail advertisements from unprofessional companies that cannot survive on referrals. Highly recommend avoiding this company -ZERO STARS SHOULD BE AN OPTION. Nothing was agreed to and the company’s fake invoice will not be paid.

Punctuality was not the best. The guy worked hard, but i continued to have problems with my pool system overall. Told me they would return my phone calls (nope), told me they would come back out to the house to check the system (nope). I wont use them again, very disappointed.

Once a week for a month, it costs $100.79. I have been with them for so long. I can get in touch with what is happening. I can call them and find out, if they are late, what is happening. The price is good.

Serviceman came on 9/26 to consult, and we conducted a bucket test to see if pool was leaking. We already knew it was leaking because of significant water loss. Out of professional courtesy, I allowed the test. After confirmation, I advised the serviceman, and waited for an estimate. Received estimate of $180 to pressure test system on 9/29, which I approved immediately approved. It was acknowledged on 9/30. Here's where the fun began. From that day on, times were scheduled without asking me first, missed appointments, excuses of "I got too much work," My boss is really slammin' me," I told him after 3 days to come and get his equipment, that he was fired. I gave him a second chance. I asked him what coud I do to help the process move faster for him, He told me if I could dig up where the suspected leak is, that would save a lot of time and labor$$. I agreed. I dug and he pressure tested the skimmer and we determined the leak was underneath the skimmer in cased in the concrete deck. That was 10/2, over the weekend, I dug under the deck to the skimmer, and advised him that I had reached the skimmer. He said he would come by on 10/6 to see what I had done. He said he would come early evening so that it was still light. He also mentioned that it was his birthday. No show, no call, no text. Next day, same thing. I fired him again. Today is Thursday 10/9 and his pressure tester is attached to the skimmer. I have no intention to pay any charges related to this "service," and obviously never recommend this company.

They did a good job for me. Just one employee came out to complete the work in about a weeks time. Once everything was in motion it was completed quickly. The gentleman they sent out really focused on fixing us up.

Used the service since 2002 and have been mostly happy. There were some minor issues over the years but the company was always responsive to correct and they are a very reliable and professional service. They always show up when scheduled and provide a very thorough cleaning of the pool. We also contract them to clean and replace filters as needed, etc. and they always do a good job. We would recommend the service for consistent, reliable and professional service.

We were pleased with their services. I had a dog and they were really good with him by not letting him out the gate when he was outside. I was satisfied with them.

The purpose of any pool service is to keep the pool clean and the water sanitized and clear. This is something that Gilbert Pool Services failed to do. In the span of a year paying them monthly for pool services, they never once checked the pool filter, an integral part of any pool service. They spent an average of five minutes at our house, I timed them several times. The only service they performed was to put two chlorine tablets in the chlorine dispenser and sometimes cleaned out the collection baskets from the pool. At $18 dollars a visit that worked out to around $200 dollars an hour and then they still didn't perform the service required. We went back to South Carolina and when we came back after six weeks the pool was filthy. Bottom covered in leaves, filter baskets full of leaves. The surface covered in dirt and matter. Automatic pool filter clogged and not working. When I called Gilbert pools to have them correct the problem, the owner refused to come out and look at the pool. In fact they broke the contract and failed to ever come out again. After three days and no response from Gilbert Pools, I cleaned the pool myself, the leaf baskets and unclogged the automatic pool filter which Gilbert Pools sold and installed. I then took a sample of water to Leslies pool service and it took over $60 dollars of chemicals to bring the water back into compliance. This did not get this bad in three days. I then called another pool service and asked what they did, and they said the first thing they do with a new account is take the filter apart and check the the filters for dirt. They also said part of maintenance is taking the filters out twice a year and washing them out. This is a simple pentair 320. Well I took the filter apart, (it took all of five minutes) and discovered the filters were so clogged and full of gunk that I had no choice but to replace them. I feel that Gilbert pool should have done this at least once within the year that I paid them. I feel they may have even put my health at risk. I dont feel I owe them anything and in fact they owe me an apology for being such a poor service. Enclosed is $54 dollars for the three times they allegedly came out while I was gone. I have no way of knowing if they actually did. I shouldnt give them anything since they didnt do anything and were totally non responsive to my complaint. I am also filing a complaint with the better business bureau and with angies list. This is no POOL service company more like a money cleaning operation. Do nothing and expect to get paid. Our pool guy is great! He takes great care of our pool and always lets me know if there are any problems.

Started pool service in April 2012. Reported to Ryan their supervisor I was having problems with pool cleaner person, that he was leaving the pool pump on without the water flow turned back on. He said he would talk to pool cleaner. This continued to happen.I called the office and explained this. they had to check with owner and reported back several days later that there solution was to monitor the cleaner. I explained I was fearful of damage to pump and pool if this continued,and there unwillingless to change cleaner after this had been going on for two months I would cancel contract in writing for cause. They then bill me for $116 for cancellation. Since then I have had to repair pool pump. I wrote and explained to them what happened. There version of phone conversation is totally different and fabricated. I never spoke to an owner , only a receptionist. They wrote back, never mentioned there supervisor Ryan. They did not sign letter. all they did was give a distorted version of what happened and threaten Collection.

They keep the pool very clean. It sparkles and it looks very nice.

I was satisfied with the service until my regular service guy quit in January. From that date the service was very sporadic and poor. In January GPS missed three service calls which we called them the same day to inquire why our pool wasn't cleaned and GPS stated they were short staffed because our pool man quit and a person will be over to clean our pool when available. They never arrived. So, 3 x $50.00 = $150.00 (One Hundred & Fifty dollars). GPS never paid! In February, GPS only clean the pool and not the trough and spa as agreed in our written contract. Again, we called them the same day to inquire why our trough and spa wasn't cleaned and GPS stated they were short staffed and wouldn't be coming back until next week, so 2x$50.00 =$100 (one Hundred dollars),. GPS never paid! We cancelled our service with GPS at that time due to their breach of the contract. GPS continued to bill $122.07 for January and February despite the fact they failed to show up and provide service for 5 cleanings and failed to honor their written $50.00 guarantee. We received the final invoice March 1, 2010 for $273.25. I subtracted the cost for the 5 missed service calls, paying GPS $30.57 for January & $91.50 for February and forwarded $122.07 which they cashed. GPS is now seeking the difference through a collection company, for $175.94. I would be willing to pay the $175,94 to GPS if they are willing to donate my $250 to charity, unfortunately, this is unacceptable to GPS. Move on to the next pool company!!!!

They come on time, and they're courteous, but they're not as good as their predecessor. Cost reflects monthly charge plus chemicals.

THIS COMPANY CAME RIGHT AWAY AND PERFORMED THE WORK RIGHT AWAY AND EFFICIENTLY. AN EMERGENCY AROSE DURING THE COURSE OF HIS WORK AND HE CAME OUT RIGHT AWAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. HE CLEANED-UP AFTER EACH VISIT.

I HAD NO EXPERIENCE WITH POOLS BUYING A HOUSE WITH A POOL I HAD TO RELY ON A GOOD CONTRACTOR TO INFORM ME HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING ANYONE THAT IS NOT LICENSED, BONDED OR INSURED BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE AS A NEW HOME OWNER.

THE TECHNICIAN THAT CAME OUT WAS AWESOME. HE WAS ON TIME, CAME ON A SATURDAY AT NO EXTRA COST, AND SPENT TIME EXPLAINING EVERYTHING TO US. I FEEL A LOT MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT POOLS NOW. HE ALSO FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS WITH THE FILTER. I PLACED THE INITIAL PHONE CALL TO THE COMPANY ON A THURSDAY, AND THE WORK WAS COMPLETED ON MONDAY.

THE SERVICE PROVIDERS DON'T ALWAYS ACT IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. WE HAVE HAD THEM RETURN TO RE-DO WORK ON ONE OCCASION. ONE PROVIDER EMPTIED THE LEAF COLLECTION BASKET ONTO THE ROCKS RATHER THAN THROWING THE REFUSE AWAY.
