ENMAR Hardwood Flooring

I visited the show room and was helped by a man named Patrick. He was very nice and together we picked out wood for my home. He told me the cost of the materials ($4.40/sq ft) and the install price of $3.18 a sq ft which was to include: tear out of existing floor and baseboard, the glue for the new wood floors, and re-installation of the baseboard. He indicated he would have it written up and a contract would be send over to sign via email shortly. Tricia did so, but the contract was not as agreed. It added $100 for tear out and re-installation of baseboard. I called and spoke with Patrick and he indicated he would speak with Tricia and correct it. They phoned two days later and said he was wrong and they needed to charge the extra $100. I indicated that I would pull off and reinstall the baseboard myself and to adjust and resend the contract accordingly. They did so, but then added extra cost in the way of trying to charge me for the install of waste materials (6%). This is the extra wood cuts that I have already paid for and do not actually get installed, but thrown away. I called Patrick and he said that is a mistake, and they do not charge for that and he indicated he would have Tricia correct and resend the contract that day. 3 days past and nothing was sent so I called and spoke with Tricia. She was extremely rude and hostile and indicated that they normally do not charge for this, but since I was using a promotion they were having, they were adding it on. I said that sounded unreasonable and a little like discrimination. She hung up the phone.The problem to all this lays in the fact that I came into the store and agreed to Patrick's terms and then paid $500 to enter their promotion. So now I am stuck in the promotion and work has still not been done. I have filed this complaint against them to the BBB.org and will also file a complaint with ROC should it not be addressed properly.

We had recently purchased a home and the floors were severly damaged. Enmar came in did a very professional estimate, we had a quote later that day. Scheduled us in asap and we have beautiful "new" floors. Customer service was excellent. Work provided was excellent. Would definately use them again on future jobs.

Custom floor went well during installation in September. I requested (twice) one more coat ot finish (polyeurethane) to close out final grain. At that time also contracted for office floor with engineered wood, with the agreement that the engineered wood would be in long lengths so as to match. Expected final coat of living room during the office installation Wood delivered included many short pieces in the two boxes opened. Multiple phone calls yielded assurances that the remaining 12 boxes would have longer lengths. Completed work showed no long lengths (over 4 feet) and many, many 18 incl lenghts.ENMAR solution waqs -"take it or leave it" although business office already emptied for installation. Letter to ENMAR and ROC as follows ENMAR Hardwood Flooring, Inc. 560 E. Germann Road, Suite 105 Gilbert, AZ 85297 Dear Sirs, Please find the enclosed check #3441 in the amount of $998.13, $400 less that the amount requested in your invoice #5566. The remaining $400 has been mailed to the Registrar of Contractors in check # 3442, for the benefit (FBO) of Enmar Hardwood Flooring. This action discharges our responsibility to pay, and also communicates our disappointment in your treatment of customer concerns. Specifically, with regards to the living room floor you installed immediately prior to the office floor covered by invoice 5566, we were most pleased with the installation but requested on two occasions, once to Todd and once to Tricia, that an additional application of polyurethane finish be applied to completely close the grain of the wood and seams. These requests were not acknowledged, but we expected the last coat to be applied when the office floor was installed. With regards to the office floor, we agreed to proceed with this installation based upon Todd Thompson?s assurances that the engineered wood sections were of significantly greater length that our past experience, and that the floor would not have extensive butt seams. Once the product was supplied and delivered by ENMAR, Inspection of two boxes (of 16) revealed that although the container length was 7 feet, the maximum length piece was 4 feet, accompanied by multiple pieces only 15.5 inches in length. I was assured by Todd Thompson that every box ?should? contain at least one full-length section (7 feet). Installation of 15 boxes revealed that not one piece exceeded the 4 foot dimension. In other words, the ENMAR sales presentation and subsequent assurances were without merit. Actions and misstatements must come with consequences. Enmar was amazing! They were punctual and did everything to perfection and were just so responsive to our wishes. They were simply phenomenal and an "A" plus company in our book.
