Repaired roof damage, no problem. Replaced porch lights. One didn't work; they came back and fixed it, but it took a while. The other has since stopped working. Repainted front doors and replaced hardware. Paint splashed all over new brass door hardware; door hard to lock/unlock; door doesn't close properly so alarm goes off; overall not well done. Requested estimate for window replacement several times and never got a response. Replaced two skylights with "sky windows" and used the requested low-uv glass but installed clear, flat glass without asking for a preference. The clear glass means (a) heat buildup and (b) a clear view into the rooms from above. The flat glass and gutter structure pile up with leaf droppings from landscaping next door, clog up and cause leakage inside the room. Did not finish interior wood supporting the sky window, so have a lovely unpainted wooden "box" to deal with. Generally uncommunicative. Would not use again. Champion has done a great deal of work for other people I know. Years ago had a great reputation but in past couple of years work quality has declined dramatically.
Description of Work: After hail storm, repaired roof damage, replaced porch lights, replaced skylights, repainted front doors and replaced hardware. Requested estimate for replacing beading around windows but they said they couldn't do it.

Very well, we are very pleased with the end result. Joe Jenkins reviewed our plan and made sure it was sound. He went through very detail and contingency with us prior to quoting. He secured HOA approval, all permits and work started the day and time he stated. When a city inspector stopped the work due to permit issue with his own city office, Joe worked through the problem and got us the permit variance needed. Work took about two weeks, work crews arrived promptly at 7 AM and left at 4 PM; they always cleaned the site before leaving for the day. There was no confusion from his crew on what, or how, they should build the structure. Joe was at the site at least twice a day and answered any questions or concerns. Other than the permit issue, which was the city's fault, the build went without a hitch.
Description of Work: Construction of large attached patio structure with integrated lighting. Size is approximately 20" x 20', wood framing construction with house matching stucco. Electrically wired for four outdoor lighting sconces.

We were told from the beginning that the majority of the work would be completed in two months, however the remodel began in February and did not finish until September. There was very little communication from the contractor once the project was underway and we were constantly guessing whether anyone would show up on any given day. We never did receive a project schedule! The reason we hired a contractor was to have someone to keep the project organized, schedule subs, and take care of the day to day progress. It ended up being my husband and I doing all the work; scheduling and meeting with subs, showing them what to do, checking their work, making sure materials had been ordered (which they never were until we brought it up) etc. We had a couple of items stolen from our house, so we always had to be here when they we working. The whole project turned out to be a nightmare, however it does look good now that it is over.
Description of Work: Added 200 square feet of livable space as a bedroom/play room, replaced Arcadia door with a french door, redesigned kitchen island, widened walkway between dining room and kitchen.
