B&C Tree Service

I first called to schedule a trim in the Fall, but it didn't happen until January. That was frustrating. However, the quality of the work is exceptional. They arrived when they said they would, the crew was everywhere at once, working on the trees and cleaning up. They were very careful not to damage plants in the under story. To my delight they provided me with two garbage cans full of compost (from old tree clippings) and another garbage can of mesquite leaf droppings for me to put in my compost. They also provided my neighbor with mesquite wood for his barbecue. They consulted with me about problems I was having with my citrus trees. They were done in about 2.5 hours. My trees didn't look chopped up -- they just looked beautiful.

One note about Mr. Thomas and his scheduling should be included. Mr. Thomas (as mentioned in other reviews) works "spur of the moment" with his work and scheduling. I had called his office to schedule to get an estimate initially. His office called back with the estimate on my answering machine. I had NOT scheduled with their office yet as I was in the process of getting other estimates for comparison. Then, Mr. Thomas and his crew just showed up one day and started getting ready to trim the trees without having scheduled or without our permission. It just so happened we were home. After speaking with Mr. Thomas he realized he had a mix-up and was very apologetic. I consider their showing up to do work that was not scheduled to be a big negative with their customer service. After consulting with Mr. Thomas we decided to go ahead and have the work done by his company. The work was good and Mr. Thomas was receptive to questions and seemed well informed.

The project was promptly completed by Jose's Tree Service and was well done.

They showed up when they said they would and took the dead trees out per quote. Fast!!!!

Brent quoted after a short visit and the crew turned up when scheduled. They were all very efficient and created relatively little mess. Highly recommended!

B and C Stump Removal was my third company for an estimate, based on reviews from Angie's list. However it took three calls before Brent arrived for his estimate. The receptionist at first stated that there was an emergency with a tree falling on a house, so I was patient and waited a few days before calling back, but it still took another call after that. Brent was shown the trees and provided an estimate that was lower than the others, but it was only verbal as he did not have estimate sheets with him. Brent did not communicate exactly when he could do the job, and called only a few minutes before he arrived. However, the crew he brought worked fast and diligently, removing all the trees and grinding the stumps exactly as he had stated. Furthermore, his crew did a fantastic clean-up job; it was hard to tell they were ever there. I will use B and C again and will recommend them, but understand that Brent works in a short-notice kind of way.

Work was performed timely and as promised. The bid was reasonable for the work done. We were having a roof replaced so needed to schedule tree trimming to fit roofing schedule. He was busy, but worked around our schedule and came when he said he would.

It took a week for Brent to get back to us, after he came to do an estimate (we weren't home when he stopped by). The estimate was verbal only. The crew came a couple of days after they had promised, due to a mix-up in scheduling, but Brent and his wife both called and were very apologetic, after I called the office wondering what was going on. The work took all day, as the 3 trees that needed trimmed had at least 5 years of overgrowth on them. The stump of the palm tree was ground, so well you'd hardly know a tree had ever been there. After the work was done, I went outside and just stared at my trees. I had never seen them look so good. And the cleanup was immaculate. When the bill came in the mail, it matched the verbal estimate.

My contractor told me at 4:30 p.m. on Friday that, in order for them to keep on schedule and pour the concrete for my patio on Monday morning, I either had to agree to reduce the size of the patio by three ft. or find someone to grind down the large tree stump they decided they could not reduce. I called Band C, as well as a number of other contractors, early Saturday morning. I reached Brent at 7:30 a.m. and he came and ground down the stump by 9:30 a.m.

Job 1: My call was returned the next day and they d come by the property to provide an est. When I hadn't heard from them in a wk, I c/bk and left a message. They called the next day, apologized and gave me the est. I thought the est. was reasonable and told them to go ahead and schedule the job. They arrived at the scheduled time and performed the work quickly and efficiently, and w/out any damage to surroundings plants or structures. Excellent cleaning up. Job 2: Brent removed 4 large trees and then did stumpgrinding. I d mentioned to him that I was going to have concrete laid where the trees were. He indicated that he thought he d ground the stumps down far enough, but if there was a problem when we were ready to lay the concrete then we could give him a call and he d c/back and regrind the area. The stumps needed to be ground down further. Brent returned promptly and did the regrinding at no charge. I was very impressed by his attitude and promptness. I d definitely use him again, and recommend him to anyone.

They did a great job. Provided a written estimate. The yard was clean when they were done and it was hard to tell where the tree had been.

Between when I called and they stopped by for an estimate was about a week. He gave me a quote over the phone and started work within a few days. They did an excellent job, cleaned everything they trimmed and the trees have never looked better!

They did a great job. I had them do two jobs for me. One was a very large tree removal in a tight backyard. The second involved removing one tree and shaping four others. They are professional, quick, and clean entirely up when done. Be sure to use Brent's cell phone number and he'll respond right away.

I called this company to request an estimate, as the company was consistently rated as excellent by Angie's List. It took two calls from me to get Brent out to our house to make an estimate. He was polite and informative when he did finally get to our house. It took about 10 days from the first call to his coming out. He gave us a verbal estimate. Then we got a call that the crew could come out about 3 days later. We never got a written estimate. I had to call Brent when the crew arrived, b/c I did not have an estimate in writing. He gave the verbal estimate and I accepted it, because of his good reputation on Angie's list. The final cost matched the estimate. The work was done to our satisfaction. The crew also did a good job in taking away all of the debris. I think that the reviews I read on Angie's List stated that Brent or his employee gave the customer tips about caring for and fertilizing our trees. We did not get any such advice, but then again I did not ask him point blank.

Estimate was done within 2 days of initial phone call. Service completed Monday of the following week. Great, efficient crew with constant supervisor present. They cleaned up every last stick and leaf. The estimate was lower than I had anticipated. The work was even better than I expected. Definitely would use Band C again.

Cindy and Brent were really nice to work with. They were polite and always returned my phone calls, usually on the very same day.

This is a very professional company with a hands on owner. He arrived with a 6 man crew and three trucks, as well as a bucket and stump grinder. I was very impressed by the professional and courteous manner shown by owner to employees as well as all to me, the home owner. I had bids as high as $3,000 for the tree removal.

Received quote promptly during busy monsoon season. Large crew came out and did an excellent job trimming trees and removing broken branch damaged during monsoon season. Very professional and they did a great job cleaning up our yard and answering our questions. We will definitely use them again. Only complaint was that they were difficult to actually schedule a specific time with and I ended up having to run home during the day to meet the crew.

Wonderful experience. Real pros at bringing the trees down without damaging the walls they were up against or the house. Did a thorough cleanup of the yard afterward. They were able to squeeze my job in the same week that the quote was provided.

I contacted Brent Thomas, and he arrived 20 minutes later as he was going to be passing by my neighborhood. The job included removing one huge pine tree and one large and one small palm tree that were in the corner of my property next to a block wall and a pool. When I stated that I needed to have the block wall fixed due to root damage, he told me he had someone that could complete that, too, and gave me an estimate. Once I called to hire him, he stated that they could complete the job the next day. They arrived promptly and went to work. The pine tree was in a very tight corner of the property, but they took great care to not damage my pool or the cool decking. The workers were professional and cleaned up everything. They removed the trees, roots and all, within a couple of hours, and the fence was completed the next day. I would highly recommend this company, and my neighbors are happy that they now have a tree service to take care of their needs, too.

Had initial trouble getting in contact with Brent for an estimate. Once that got taken care of, they came out as scheduled and did a great job removing my palm tree, plus heavily cutting back my eucalyptus tree. The mulberry tree belonged to my neighbor and was hanging over my side of the fence- they did a nice job taking care of that as well. I would definitely use them again.

Contacted Brent, the owner, via his cell phone. Brent was very pleasant and professional. Described what I needed done and gave him my address. He came by to verify all that needed to be done and called me with an estimate for the trees and asked if I wanted the oleander stumps removed for an additional $10.00 each. The price was very reasonable and the work was done with professional results. I will be having him back to do more work for me in the near future. Highly recommend.

COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. THEY WERE ACTUALLY ABLE TO PERFORM WORK THE SAME DAY WE INITIALLY TALKED. THEY WERE PROMPT, EXTREMELY CAREFUL AND PROFESSIONAL AND CLEANED UP EVERYTHING. TREES LOOK WONDERFUL NOW.

THEY ARE VERY PROMPT AND RESPOND RAPIDLY TO PROBLEMS. AFTER THE TREE BLEW OVER, THEY WERE HERE AT DAYLIGHT TO CUT IT DOWN. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE SURE NO DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE HOUSE SINCE SOME OF IT WAS ON THE ROOF. THEY ARE POLITE AND THEY MAKE SURE ALL THE MESS IS CLEANED UP AND OUT OF THE YARD.
