AZ Pool Works LLC

Pool tech arrived as requested and did a phenomenal job. After a monsoon storm this last week our pool was atrocious. Now it’s sparkling! Thanks AZ pool works!!

We found that they were not maintaining the pool as agreed. Early on (in June), our neighbor emailed us and reported that the muriatic tank was empty. I emailed Jerry, the owner, and he speculated that his service person was simply dumping it straight into the pool. I reminded him that I had an automated system and that it needed to go in the tank, as agreed. I do not know if he ever filled the tank because my neighbor reported that he would keep an eye on it, and I know he would fill it and not mention it. Second, we returned and found the pool unswept and water bugs in the pool. This showed that they were not sweeping and not really maintaining the pool. Worse is that we arrived home before a visit and were told that the service person would visit on an afternoon when we would be present in the house. We were in and out that day, but the pool when we arrived home clearly hadn't been swept. However, when I texted Jerry, he reported that his service person had indeed been there and that the pool 'looked great'. I texted him pictures of the dirty pool, clear evidence that it hadn't been swept, and the reaction out of Jerry is why no one should hire or trust this person to maintain a pool: upon being presented with evidence that his employee had been skipping the work at our house, Jerry first denied it and then got aggressive and told me to find another company. Denial and avoidance are hallmarks of deceit when confronted with evidence of it, and Jerry fell right back on these strategies instantly; instead of having the courage to ask his service person if they had been skipping our home or 'perhaps forgot' to sweep the pool, he aggressively denied the possibility that his employee was behaving dishonestly. Instead of driving out to see for himself when a customer has provided proof (and why would I lie -- I need a pool person!), he avoids the situation by essentially firing himself. That's a guilty conscious, and if you're looking for an honest business to maintain your pool, Jerry Handley and AZ Pool Works LLC should not be on your list. If you complain about the lack of service, he just drops you and looks for other targets. AVOID. The pictures included with this warning about this company are the exact same ones I texted him only two hours after our alleged 'visit' by his representative. They show the debris in the pool and the clearly brown dirt on the bottom of the pool.
