ARIZONA QUALITY POOL SERVICE & REPAIR

Description of Work: AZQP was contracted to provide pool maintenence service for my 10,000 gallon home pool. Our original encounter included an estimate of services which initially was quoted at $80 a month. After the first month of service most services were provided as agreed. After that we begin to notice changes to include an increase of $20 per month if the month had any days that fell with in the next month. For example if the month ended on the 31st and the rest of the week was regarded as a five week month thus we were be charged $20 a week instead of $80 a month. When questioned about the charge, the wife who handled all invoices was rude to my wife in her explanaiton of the change in cost of service. They also charged a month in advance which was not detailed in our original agreement. We were also informed that basic chemicals such as shock and acid would not cost extra. This portion of the service remained true until the last two months of service when we began to be charged for shock and other chemicals. When questioned about the descepency, which is also posted on their website, we we informed that shock, cyunaric acid, and algae treatment were not considered basic chemicals. We were then charged for the current month plus the proceeding months chemicals. A total of $56 extra for that months invoice. We used this company for eight months or so, and up to that month we had not been charged for chemicals until then. Lastly we have a salt system that requires periodic maintenance of the salt cell . Because of the high calcium in AZ water this cell we become caked in calcium. It must be kept clean or salt system will not function properly. It was also determined by my wife that the water pump was leaking yet we had not been informed of this by the tech who cleans the system weekly. I asked through email about maintenance of the salt system and the pump and I was informed it would cost me additonal to clean the system and the pump would have to be looked at to determine cost. When I asked when it could be done I didn't recieve a reply. This caused me to have to contact the owner by phone and he proceeded to inform me that he had turned off the pump and he would get the system cleaned. This is all without even looking to see why the pump was leaking. Then he proceeded to charge an off the cuff cost that appeared to excessive. We discontinued our service immediately. The salt system was eventually cleaned but not done very well requiring us to have it redone by a different tech from a different pool service.
