+ -1 moreThe technician did not seem familiar with our warming drawer but contacted his supervisor via phone and together they determined what needed to be done should it fail again. (It was shutting off intermittently but hasn’t since he was here. )

Description of Work: While cleaning my oven, microwave overheated and would not work. James told me by phone how to troubleshoot. Couldn't get it to work. He came next day, ended up having to pull the combined unit out of the wall because reset button was hidden way in back. He then adjusted my dishwasher arm as a courtesy and total charge was just his very reasonable service call fee. Thank you.

+ -1 moreJim was delayed by an emergency but notified me promptly that he would be delayed, then notified me again that he was on his way. He solved to problem quickly, then cleaned the pump filter and checked the washer to make sure that it was functioning as it should. I will call Jim, Appliance Medics,if I have any more problems with appliances.
Description of Work: Repaired front-load washer had an error code that it was not draining correctly and then stopped with the door locked.

+ -1 moreFirst visit he determined he needed to replace the Magetron and charge $65/labor. This took about 30minutes. Stated that this would go towards the final bill. Second visit with the part at $107 took about 10minutes to replace. Charged another $54 (gave me a $10 discount). So exactly how did the first $65 go towards the final cost? Just feel that he charged more for labor then justified. He stated that he recently brought out the owner, so maybe we have a different idea of reasonable cost. Not quite happy. Maybe I'm expecting to much.

+ -1 moreI was surprised when my wife said she found someone who would come out on a holiday for regular service call rates. He gave us an estimated time of arrival and ten minutes before that time he called to say he was five to ten minutes away. His quick diagnosis found the control panel to be at fault. He said he could get a replacement panel, but it would be about $400. He said that that option didn't make a lot of sense on a 6 year old machine when we could purchase a new replacement machine with a much longer warranty for slightly more. He then spent about ten minutes giving us his take on what to buy to replace our old machine. He was friendly, answered all our questions and his advice was right on the money. We ended up buying an LG machine that has performed better than the Maytag ever did. We would not hesitate to use this business again!
Description of Work: Our Maytag washing machine decided to take Memorial Day off right when everybody in our family of five had at least two loads of laundry to do. Diagnosis of a washing machine that would not work.

Description of Work: Dishwasher was running but not cleaning dishes on upper rack. Eventually not cleaning lower rack, Appliance Drs did a thorough inspection and determined the problem, as opposed to looking for the easiest expensive repair. They showed me the problem area and advised me how to avoid a similar problem in the future (rinse dishes better b4 putting in dishwasher). Unfortunately, my tenants did not warn me of the problem until it magnified. What could have been an inexpensive repair turned into a more major one, but cheaper than the first company that came out and did little else but shine a flashlight and say the repair would be $300 (assuming the worst w/o even turning a screw). Appliance Drs are very thorough and look for the cheapest repair first and explain how appliances operate for better consumer understanding.
