Response from Annette Denham Interiors
[Member Name Removed] has misrepresented herself in a review that came to my attention today, 24 May 2023. Angi.com did not notify/provide me information at that time to respond. [Member Name Removed] sent an email indicating she was happy with her project and also voiced interest in a MasterBath remodel. With no vision, she pushed for a design without paying a design retainer. To break the ice, I agreed to show them a design concept in AutoCad on my laptop, as an incentive to move forward with a retainer, but would not provide a printed copy until there was an agreement/retainer in place. [Member Name Removed] and her husband were/are not entitled to a FREE design, that is not how I work or good business. If you want to call paying for a design expensive that's your prerogative, but it's also mine to not provide you one than. Let's be clear, good design is NOT FREE. It is quite ingenuous of her and her husband Mr. Minzey to offer such a review, especially when they were accommodated in their very short demanding window of time for the project to be completed. From start to finish less than 60 days. As a general contractor, it is my job to check on subcontractors that do work for me, it is responsible to visit them in the morning and then in the afternoon or at the end of the day to address any potential issues immediately. Contrary to [Member Name Removed]'s comment, I did not spend the entire day at her home. For example, [Member Name Removed], caused an issue on the job by purchasing a different vanity size then she agreed to, and my plumber requested my presence to the jobsite to show me that the plumbing would have to be moved to accommodate her vanity. Other challenging contractual issues on this project included husband [Member Name Removed] as the electrician and [Member Name Removed]'s brother tile contractor.
