We needed a very large bookcase, 2 smaller bookcases, a computer and monitor, and about 5 boxes of books moved from our office to our home, which is about 5 miles away. I called AIM and Trevel answered right away. He was very nice and very polite and told me they could do the move that same day (he was a lifesaver!!) and offered to do it at a one-hour minimum rate, rather than the three-hour minimum everyone else was offering. Diamond, who was in charge, and his partner (don't recall his name, sorry) arrived at 3 and I found them to be very nice, very efficient and very hard workers. It was a pleasure dealing with them. When we got to my house they were great, happily moving things a few times when I changed my mind about where I wanted the bookcases, and even offering suggestions when I asked for their two cents. All in all it was a very good experience. The one fly in the ointment was the timing (what else is new when dealing with service people!). They said they'd arrive between 11 and 1, but hadn't shown up by 1:30. After a few phone calls on my part and some miscommunication, they called and told me they'd be there in 15 minutes at 3pm, which they were. When they arrived Diamond explained that the previous job just took much longer than they'd expected, with many little things coming up, so he didn't call because he didn't know what to tell me about when they'd arrive. I told him that in my opinion, not being able to estimate how long jobs take in this kind of service is understandable, but that it would have realy been 5-star service to call me to give me whatever he could guess as the new ETA. He was very apologetic about it, so I count that as a mistake they'll learn from, rather than a crew that just doesn't care about the customer. These guys don't seem like business experts, but rather like hard-working friends who began this business because they're hard workers, strong, and are great with people. I support that! Will I use them again? Yes! In fact, I plan to use them again this week. :-)
