 + -1 more-- My biggest gripe is that they ARE NOT a Fountain Hills company. They are a bunch of techs, in their cars, and they get called by a central dispatch, and go where they're told. I think advertising as such is disingenuous. -- Was told by dispatch it would be 30 minutes arrival: it took more like over an hour. She drove up from Mesa. -- The tech said the lock was "old" and should be replaced. The problem wasn't with the lock, it was more with the alignment of the metal faceplate on the door with the lock bolt. It didn't need replacing, so we didn't. -- I guess they're just as good as any other locksmith, but advertising as a Fountain Hills company is wrong--that was one of the main reasons for me to call them: support local business.

Description of Work: They re-keyed our locks after a home healthcare worker stopped working for our family. Fountain Hills Locksmith offered some innovative and cost-saving suggestions to create a "master key" for family members that worked all the locks and other copies for home healthcare workers that only worked certain doors. This will prevent us from having to put in all new locks if we change medical staff in the future.

 + -1 moreI just wanted to say that I called Fountain Hills Locksmith because of their proximity to my home and the glowing report given in 2004. The owner, AJ, wasn't even aware that he was still listed on Angie's List. I can only say that after being in business for more than 25 years he has learned a thing or two and is totally trustworthy. I would highly recommend him to anyone in Fountain Hills needing a Locksmith.
Description of Work: I had two sliding glass doors with broken locking levers. I called and two gentlement were here within 15 minutes ( they do live in the neighborhood). The owner, AJ, introduced his assistant, John, and immediately said that they were both bonded and insured. They were both neatly dressed in uniform with clean cut appearance and had a car with the business name on the side. Immediately they set to the task at hand. I had new replacement locking levers obtained the day before at Home Depot which did expedite the repair. One door took just a few minutes to repair, however, the second door also had a broken bottom locking device. John needed more information about the door in order to repair it. But before leaving our home he made sure that the slider could lock. The he went to Home Depot to obtain further information about getting the replacement parts. He returned later to our home to take pictures of the lock so he could contact the manufacturer. I suspect the manufacturer will promptly supply the replacement parts as they may even be under warranty. AJ also lubricated another slider so all three work like a charm now. I also needed to put a locking device on a garage storage room. AJ suggested I buy a locking replacement door knob rather than going to the extra expense of installing a dead bolt. I picked up the door knob and have installed it myself. In other words, AJ is honest, helpful, and goes out of his way to save the customer money. I have not yet received a bill for these services.

 + -1 moreHE IS ALWAYS COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY. HE REMEMBERS YOUR NAME AND IS VERY NEAT. HE USED TO HAVE A DOG THAT WAS LIKE A BEAGLE THAT WAS A TRADE MARK, BUT SHE PASSED AWAY JUST RECENTLY. IT WAS SAD HAVING HIM COME OUT WITHOUT HIS DOG. THEY WERE INSEPARABLE.
Description of Work: AJ CAME OUT AND REPAIRED OUR FRONT DOOR AND TWO SIDE DOORS THAT WEREN'T SHUTTING PROPERLY. HE ENDED UP REPLACING ONE OF THE LOCKS AND HAVING TO RE-KEY THE LOCKS SO THAT THEY ALL MATCHED.
