Kathryn was helpful with quotes. Gave me a variety of options. I came back several months later to do the job and she was still responsive and helpful. David was also responsive and good at what he did. My one concern was that he proceeded to cut into my fireplace to make the box fit. Ultimately this wasn't an issue because there is a frame aesthically, and it had to happen (or I would've had to switch to a smaller model insert), I just really wanted to be communicated with. I was home most of the time, but even if not home, I wanted a phone call. At the very least, this would've given me a chance to cover items nearby with sheets to protect from dust---I really wish they had done this without me asking but I would've liked to do it myself if they didn't. I sensed from the conversations that his assistant was very much learning. The assistant was capable, but to me that means the supervisor shouldn't leave the job. He did for a couple hours and I think this made the job take longer. Luckily, they did not bill me for this time. Finally, they did leave some aesthetic blemishes on the fireplace stone. I called them after a couple days and they were at my home the next morning, buffing/repairing the stone, apologizing, no cost, and letting me know it would take a little time/wear for the stone to not look freshly buffed. Overall, satisfied. Not perfect, Not fantastic, but good.

The owner came and replaced /repaired fan. No chg for service, just the part. I am extremely satisfied.

We purchased a new Chinook Blaze King wood stove for a basement family room from Roof Dancers this year. They installed it per the plan and it is working well in our second home residence. We also had an existing Vermont casting woodstove on our main floor that was not drafting properly. They diagnosed the problem correctly and repaired that stove such that it can now be damped down. It holds a fire all night which it didn't before. So I give Roof Dancers an "A" (Excellent) for quality and expertise of their subject matter! For pricing I gave them a "B" (Good) because the costs associated with all the piping and hardware needed for the installation seemed expensive and hard to follow lengthy parts lists but I am admittedly not an expert in the supply chain of piping. We did get a good deal on the Blaze King stove as it was last years model. They also get a "B" on responsiveness as there could be improvement in their communications. They sent us an invoice at one point which had a significant upper included. This is a second home so we are not there on site much of the time. We assumed the work was complete per the invoice ans so paid the invoice in full thinking they had gotten ahead of us. But when we went up the following weekend there was no stoves installed at all. Hence, no heat. In hindsight, I think they meant the invoice to be a proposal for the additional costs discovered but it was not clear. Anyway, it got straightened out after a bout of confusion. Bottom line - The stoves are working great and keeping us warm at 9000'. Roof Dancers have much technical expertise in woodstoves and the installation of them. I would use them again and recommend them to others. Good overall job!

They were very professional, but were also very expensive. On a limited budget this makes it tough.

We contacted Roof Dancers to get some parts needed to install a second-hand propane heating stove in our new house. They were always willing to find and acquire the parts we needed, and their pricing was fair - it matched what we could have ordered over the internet.

We called to have an estimate on fixing our pellet stove. The gentleman that came out was nice enough but he immediately wrote off our pellet stove saying it was too old and impossible to get parts for. he recommended upgrading to a 3 to 4000 dollar gas fireplace. We kept researching and found a local company, Wizard roofing, that was more than willing and able to fix our current unit along with cleaning the chimney and reconnecting/replacing venting pipe for less than $200! The woman on the phone at Roof dancers basically gave me the same run around the fix it guy did, and tried over the phone to convince me that one of their very pricey units was the only way to go when I tried to ask her questions about buying a unit online. The were only going to sell one of their units, there was no compromise on their end and if we hadn't taken the time to research and look at options we never would have known our unit was, yes old, but in excellent working condition. I'm sitting in front of it now, only 2 weeks after having Wizard remove it, clean it, fix it and reinstall!

Very nice company. Came out to check our fireplace and chimney to see why smoke was coming in. Found the problem and fixed it quickly, offering suggestions.

The technician arrived late, was pleasant, but didn't seem to have much experience. I had to find the part number for the part in the owners manual. He wrote that on the invoice and charged me 90.00 dollars for the service call. I called their store several weeks later and was told the manufacturer was notorious for being slow on replacement parts. The store staff called me with the amount and a month later said the part was in. I went to the store and saw the replacement part was clearly not what was ordered and it was missing several key components. It is now October, my fireplace was never fixed, I paid for a part I never received, and I haven't heard from them since.
