I ended up having to hire somebody else to come in and reclean the place. It was a company I had hired before. The girl who came recognized the guys from a place she used to work at and said that not only had this guy been fired for doing such a horrible job, but that he used to cut corners all the time, including at the hospital! People can die from stuff like that! She said he would half a** a two hour cleaning job into a half an hour. She said she had no idea he had started a buisness and he had made inappropriate advances on her a few times. I would steer clear of this guy. I know he's just starting and sometimes it takes a while to figure things out, but for being an experienced cleaner, this guy was clueless! Don't waist your time, money, or effort on this guy. He's better off out of business!
Description of Work: After hearing abou this guys upstart buiness from a friend, I decided to give him a call. His website said that he has five years of cleaning experience and that he's cleaned medical facilities, so I figured he'd do a great job with my place. He was supposed to show up at 11am and didn't show till 2pm. He apologized and said he was lost. I thought to myself, "for three hours?" but I let it go. I was also taken back by how unprofessional he looked wearging dingy beat up clothes and a pinstrip hat that looks like it belongs with a suit! He barley said anything except "Hello" "Sorry I was late, I was lost", "Are there any special instructions" and "t'l take three hours for me to finish." I explained tha the babies room was the most important room and that I left specific cleaners that are baby friendly in the doorway. I gave a few other instructions about how I like certain things around the house. I told him the baby ad I were going to run some errands and get out his way for the next few hours and we'd be back before he left. Two and half hours later I come home, expecting him to be near finished. I had read on his website that he charges 15.00 an hour for general cleaning, so I had $60 in cash to tip him since I had given some specific instructions for the babies room. I open the door and he's sitting on my couch eating food from my refrigerator watching my tv! He looked like a deer in the headlights! I asked him if he was taking a break and he mumbled yeah. Then he dissapeared into the bathroom for like a half an hour. I started looking around and I noticed that he hadn't dusted and that there were streak marks all over the windows. I went into the kitchen and they were fingerprints all over my stainless steel fridge. THe floor was mopped, but it was now sticky and looked glazed over. I then went straight into the baby's room to find the cleaners not even touched and nothing done bt the trash taken out. He finally emmerged from the bathroom and told me that he was all done and it was going to $115.00. Angry, laid into him about the baby's room and the other things I had noticed. He told me the streaks will go away in an hour or so and that he though I had already cleaned the baby's room since the cleaner was sitting out! I asked him what he used to mop the floor and he had the audacity to laugh and say, "mop and water". I was furious. Then I asked why it was so much when his website said 15 dollars an hour and that he was obviously not working a full three hours. He said, "well, I have o make up the gas money from trying to find your place and I round up on time." I honestly thought he was kidding, but he just starred at me.I told him I didn't want to pay him for such a S****Y job! He told me that "extortion is illegal and best left to the goverment" I was speechless. At this point I wanted him to leave, so I just handed him the 60 dollars and said, that's all your getting and walked him out the door. I have never seen anything like this!
