I ordered a garage door in May of 2015 submitting half down. Steve, the manager, was both knowledgeable and pleasant, important attributes when making an expensive purchase. He noted that both the garage and the room above it would be much warmer with an R19 door. I had hoped to order a Liftmaster belt system opener, but the manager noted he had difficulty in securing those from his supplier and recommended a Linear. However, Consumer Reports and my husband, a mechanic, both recommended a Liftmaster system because it is quieter and can be connected to your smart phone. Paul installed the beautiful, new garage door, but there were gaps on both sides of the door where bugs or wind could enter. Paul attempted, but was not successful in installing the new opener because the rail was too long. I was worried about the old Genie system being able to lift the new door, but Paul thought it would be okay. I called Steve and he very cordially drove over the next day to fill the gaps. Steve was correct. The garage is much warmer as is the room above it. My purchase was a wise investment that added curb appeal. The window design adds much needed light in the garage when working on projects. Unfortunately, the old Genie system broke in December. See my other review for the rest of the story. Recommendations: 1. Keep Liftmaster in stock. 2. Match Home Depot prices. Home Depot's installers are from Payson. I try to buy local to support my city's businessmen. 3. Train Paul in how to install and adjust garage door openers.

Sam, the installer arrived with the garage door system, a Linear, on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. I asked him two questions: 1. Do you have the skill to install it? 2. Are you honest? He stopped installing the new system, admitting that the rail had been removed from a garage in Cottonwood several weeks ago, and that a former employee from California, who has since quit, had stolen ten rails to build a rack for his van. The installer said that the manager, Steve, had handed him the used rail to install. Of course, I cancelled the install. I am grateful for his integrity. The low professional score is for the manager who gave him the used rail to install. Last summer, I had hoped to purchase a Liftmaster Belt system because I purchased a new energy efficient garage door from Guaranteed ($2,000), but Guaranteed Door is chronically out of stock of this top notch band and the manager pushes Linear. Last summer, Steve, the manager, took a great deal of time in helping me select a garage door; his service was excellent. Paul installed my beautiful, new garage door.However, he attempted, but failed to install the Linear stating that the rail was too long, remarking that old system would be okay. But it broke in December. I called Guaranteed Door, which was still out of Liftmasters, to order a new system that would fit.The second installer, Sam, who has ten years experience, stated that a Liftmaster Belt system could have been adjusted. Trust is essential in any business relationship. The new garage door is beautiful and energy efficient; my family's home is much warmer, the curb appeal stunning. Prior to this last experience, I would have given Guaranteed Door a positive evaluation. I had even sent the team a thank you note after my garage door was installed. I am disheartened by my last experience. Guaranteed has the potential to be a good company. Recommendations: 1. Keep Liftmasters in stock. (Inventory) 2. Train all installers. Why did the first installer not have the skill to install a new garage door system? 3. Didn't the manager notice that ten boxes had been opened and resealed? 4. Integrity is important. Treat the customer with dignity and respect. Question: Is installing used equipment ethical? Am I being taken advantage of because I am a widow?

Excellent, wonderful people

The representatives for the company were all pleasant, efficient and professional. I was very satisfied.

After talking with Steve on the phone, we went to his office. There we learned about models that he had. Best of all, we got to try them out. His recommendations to our needs were spot on. We love our new door opener. It is quiet and works with a light touch. Thank you.
