Mr. Dave Jones arrived on time and we began the online search to purchase a desktop system to replace my old laptop and desktops. The day before I researched a computer from DELL not knowing what I'd need or in this case didn't need. He looked at my choice after asking about my computer usage, needs, and future wants and plans. Within the first half an hour he whittled down my selection from a $1600.00 unit to a $680.00 unit. He explained about different computer performance options, speeds, capabilities, etc. and we both determined that I was planning to buy a system that was in great excess of my needs and budget. We also discussed software options and with one online deal I found the new QUICKBOOKS PRO 2011 for less than half of retail price. The system was ordered and it arrived in a matter of days. I left it all in the box. The next day David arrived, picked up the new system and both old computers (Thursday). On Monday he arrived at the scheduled time. We spent 3-4 hours going over the new system and checking to make sure all of the company data in different software programs transferred intact. The money I saved on the purchase coupled with the amount of time I would have spent trying to fake my way through every setup wizard on the new system hardly compares to the amount I spent for the consulting service. In the past I have purchased things, computers included, and thought I knew what to do only to end up feeling that a big hammer was the next best solution to the end of a very unsuccessful day. This is why I recommend people like me who use computers but don't give a hoot how they operate hire a professional.
